Sure. You can implement a better child support system, but it should be coupled with financial abortion maybe at the cost of custody. I don't think abortion is in the child's best interests, but nobody seems to prioritize those. This is the reason that I don't drink at all even if I am alone. If I make it a habit in private I will eventually make it a habit in public which could lead to the scenario you described or worse. I find it kinda weird that it is less stigmatized for males and more for females when females mostly look for an older partner anyway while males look for a younger partner. By that sense improsining a rapist wouldn't undo the rape, imprisoning an assaulter won't heal the injuries, and the same goes for child abuse,so we should not punish all these criminals. Every crime should have it consequent punishment. Ending a life is not reversible so they should be met by an irreversible punishment. I disagree that just because someone is mentally ill they are allowed to kill someone else. If the level of mental illness is extreme then sure but imo if the criminal is concious that they are taking a life/harming someone then they should be punished accordingly. The system (and courts pretty much everywhere) are more forgiving towards women and I'd say that was the point of the post.
