It’s like breast size for women. A lot of women feel really insecure about their breast size, and you see a lot of guys online fetishizing large breasts, but in reality most guys don’t really care and certainly don’t consider it a dealbreaker- even if they think large breasts are really sexy. Similarly, most women don’t really care about height and don’t consider it a dealbreaker, even if they think tall guys are sexy.

Your definition of “better” is off. Also you overestimate a person’s willingness to initiate change. You are defining “better” according to what a bunch of toxic assholes have taught you to value. Most women do not define a man’s “value” by his looks, money, and status. Women evaluate you based on whether or not they want to date you, which isn’t a judgement on your value as a person, and the criteria used are more like “is he fun to talk to” and “does he make me feel safe”. Looks factor in, but…

I would suggest practicing acceptance, and discrete goal setting. Here's what this looks like: when you are triggered (and I mean this in the clinical sense, as in, something specific has set of an emotional response in you that is disproportionate to the circumstance), name the emotion you are feeling, and say why you are feeling it, including the specific trigger. Do this immediately, and either in writing, or out loud (under your breath is ok since you could be in public). E.G. "I am feeling …

Why do you want casual sex? Is it purely for sexual gratification, or because you are equating how often you have sex to your value as a man? If it’s the latter, you’re in for a rough time, because defining your value based on other people wanting to do a specific activity with you is a recipe for feeling like shit.

I think the statistic is actually that DIVORCED women are happier than married women. Which basically means that a lot of women are in shitty marriages. However, that doesn't mean that any specific relationship is destined to be a shitty marriage. Be wary of sabotaging yourself because of the assumptions you are making about yourself and your worthiness to other people. If you assume that a woman won't be interested in you and won't be happy with you, you're probably not going to talk to her muc…

So, how many women were in this study, and what was actually asked of them? Were they asked "would you date a guy of x height?" Were they asked "what is your ideal height for a partner"? My best interpretation of that graph is that most of the women surveyed prefer their partners to be between 70 and 74 inches tall, all other things being equal. Of course, in real life, all other things are NOT equal, and height is only one factor of many that women consider, and it is rarely a deciding factor. …

I'm not saying you won't WANT to get laid, I'm saying you can be happy despite not getting laid, and whatever negative feelings you have about not getting laid won't take over your entire worldview and make you think life is pointless or hate women or whatever. And there are a lot of people who live perfectly happy for years and decades without getting laid. Not everyone centers their life around sex.

The point is to not hang your entire sense of self-worth on being a "chad" who gets laid all the time. The point of spitting out the pill is realizing that you can live a happy and fulfilling life without getting laid.

The standards of beauty are not higher for men. And most of the validation that women get comes from other women, not from men. Men don’t need to feel desired by a woman, man need to be better friends to each other and validate each other.

I'm sure a lot of other people are going to comment about predatory men and women having to protect themselves. It's true, but I think it's also not really getting at the heart of the problem. Let's start with the breakup being worse for the guy. This is generally true. Divorced men are, generally, more depressed than married men. Divorced women are generally happier than married women. The biggest reason for this is that when a couple gets divorced, the man loses most of his social network and …

I binge watch manosphere videos to make me feel better makes me feel really shitty and worthless Stop watching things that make you feel shitty and worthless. There is no magic formula for getting women to like you. You have to find joy and purpose in life that's not tied to being in a relationship.

Women don't do this any more than men do. Most men do not plan their next hookup weeks before they break up with their gf. Some men do, and those men are assholes. Similarly, most women do not plan their next hookup weeks before they break up with their bf, and those that do are also assholes. Women's thoughts and feelings and motivations and actions are just as varied and logical as men's are.

Letting your partner pick a table isn't being a pushover unless you have strong reasons for having a personal table preference.
/r/ExRedPill03/06/23 12:59 AM

You do not have to be strong as a man. “Strong” often means controlling and cruel. You have to be caring, and kind, and consider the needs and wants of others. The controlling man says “we are sitting at this table”. The kind, caring, and considerate man says “which table do you prefer?”

Most women want a guy who is taller than them. Good news for you, you are the average height for men, and thus taller than the average woman. Plenty of those women are more than willing to date a man their own height or shorter, though. Some women, not the majority but some, will not date a man who isn't taller than them. An even smaller amount of women have ridiculous rules like "I won't date a man under 6'". You mostly hear from the latter group, because they care way too much about it so they…

Try coming at it a different way. Accept as a fact that women generally don't like it when men join their interest groups purely because they (the men) want to date them (the women). Why do you think that is? Come up with an explanation that doesn't include any red- or blackpill talking points.

If your basic needs are taken care of (food, sleep, shelter), then your next most basic needs is social interaction. I suggest joining a local hobby group of some sort. A board game group is a good bet, because you always have something to talk about (the game you're playing), even if you don't click with people. Check meetup.com, and also ask at your local board game stores if they host game nights. Weekly scheduled social time, even with only casual acquaintances, will do wonders for your ment…

The whole “letting other guys flirt with his girl” completely ignores the fact that the girl is also a person with agency who can decide whether or not to flirt with someone. I don’t care if other guys try to flirt with my girlfriend, they don’t owe me anything (though if it was a friend of mine, we probably wouldn’t be friends much longer). I would, however, care if my girlfriend flirted back, and that would be an issue I address with her, not with the other guy (unless he’s harassing her and n…

Throughout all of history, good looking men and not-so-good looking men have managed to get married and have kids. That's still true today. I'm not you, so I can't see what you're seeing and what you might be missing, but I personally see a lot of people who look a lot of ways in happy relationships. Listen, I don't want this to come off as "you're the problem", because that's not really what I want to say here. But what's more realistic- that half of the human population thinks they're too good…

For a lot of abusive men, the mask drops slowly, so nothing he does is that much worse than the stuff you're already used to, and the mask only starts dropping after you're trapped- financially and socially isolated, dependant on him, married, or have a kid. And the mask only drops around you, to everyone else he's a amazing guy, so no one believes you when you ask for help.

Start by giving the premise of your story. "Did I ever tell you about the time I blah blah blah?" Now they know this is a story about blah blah blah. It helps them make sense of what you are saying by giving them a context to fit it into. Try to keep the story short. The shorter it is, the harder it is to lose track of what you're saying. If you have a moment before you jump in to tell the story, try to break it down in your head into three or four events or pieces of info that they need to know…

Yeah it really fucking sucks that men don't get complimented and anger is the only "allowed" emotion. Being a man can be really lonely. You could try a therapist, even if there's nothing specific you want to work on, at least you can express how you feel to someone who's literally paid to not be judgmental. There was a whole thread about the compliments thing on I think r/menslib the other day.

Women give the wrong number to keep themselves safe. For all she knows, you might be the kind of guy who gets aggressive, demanding, and violent when rejected. I'm sure you're not, but the woman you're talking to will have no way to know for sure. A fake number is a safe way out of the situation. Just test the number later, that way you're not risking cornering her and making her feel threatened. in general, if you get the occasional fake number, don't take it personally. You probably didn't do …

Hot tip, constant negativity and misogyny is generally very unattractive to women. And to people in general. If you keep immersing yourself in red pill philosophy, not only will you have a hard time attracting women who are actually worth attracting, you will also have a hard time making meaningful friendships with anyone. There's a lot more to a person- a lot more to YOU- than how many people they've dated or had sex with. Try focusing on the other parts of yourself.

Consider: those women aren't feeling disgusted, they are feeling betrayed. They thought those men were their friends, but it turns out they had ulterior motives. They thought they were safe around those men, but then those men proved they weren't safe by crossing boundaries that the women had set. There are ways to ask out a female friend you've developed feelings for without crossing boundaries, but the men those women complain about did not ask in a way that was respectful or safe. My view as a person with a uterus is, you cannot force me to use my body to sustain another's life. You can't force me to use my heart to do that, or my lungs, or my liver, or my uterus. If technology advances to the point where whatever life was using my uterus can be alive without it, great! But that has nothing to do with me. If we had that technology, it would be amazing. It would be a huge boon to trans mothers, and cis women who can't carry a child themselves for health reasons. It would m…

It seems to me like you're not saying being a woman is better or easier, but that being a man sucks in many ways and you want to escape it. I really feel for you. When you talk about being limited in the emotions you're allowed to express, that hits hard. Our society teaches men that our feelings are shameful, that we have to protect our masculinity at all costs, and that physical and emotional intimacy with anyone other than a woman you are dating is shameful and weak, and is to be avoided at a…

it definitely is! and here's the thing: it's ok to be insecure about your height. The world isn't built for tall people and sometimes it feels like you stick out and take up too much space. However, saying "women aren't attracted to me because I'm too tall and that's why I've never had sex" is (a) unrealistic, (b) supremely unhelpful. You can't control how tall you are, and you can't control whether or not people are attracted to you or whether they want to have sex with you. Focusing on things …

Your sexuality is not bad or wrong. If you are a heterosexual man, you are, in fact, supposed to like women, because that's literally the definition of heterosexual man. Your sexuality doesn't hurt anyone in and of itself. You being attracted to women doesn't harm anyone. You do not have to be ashamed or embarrassed about being attracted to women. Harm only comes if you treat someone badly, either with your words or with your actions. You are not fully in control of who you are attracted to, but…

is there actual scientific data supporting that you MUST have ALL of those traits for a woman to find you attractive? Or is there data showing that women tend to find those traits attractive. Because those are two different things. I can't exactly point you to a study refuting that first statement. Honestly I really don't think anyone would even study that, it's such an absurdly specific list of traits, and the statement that you must have all of them to be attractive to women is provably false …

Texting doesn't inherently ruin attraction, any more than any other type of interaction or communication does. The line between "too much" and "not enough" texting will be different for everyone. I think the best way to figure out how much texting is a good amount is to just text her and pay attention to her replies. If she's responding, and adding to the conversation, it's not too much. If she starts sending one-word replies that don't add anything, or not texting back at all, it's probably a l…

that falls directly under the "empathy" thing I talked about. Humans generally don't like seeing others in pain, and we ESPECIALLY don't like seeing children in pain, and that effect is magnified even more for parents seeing their children in pain. Parents sacrificing themselves is a behavior that results from this, it is not a behavior that is programmed on its own. Parents aren't "biologically programmed to sacrifice themselves for their children", parents (not just women) are biologically pro…

Yes, you are being irrational. That's ok! Recognizing that your fear isn't rational is helpful. No amount of logical debunking will kill that fear you have, because your fear isn't based in logic. you need to do some deep self-examination to figure out where that fear is coming from so you can address it at its source. I know it sounds cliche, but a therapist can really help with that. Women are not "programmed" to be manipulative any more than men are. Human beings can't really be biologically …

you know that saying, if you're walking down the street and you meet one asshole, you've met an asshole, but if everyone you meet is an asshole, the ass is probably you? Those guys who have been in a lot of relationships and are claiming that every girl they've dated has been a manipulative liar, chances are they're the ones interpreting their gf's perfectly normal behavior as manipulative. In the most literal sense, yes. Do your own thing. But mgtow isn't really men going their own way, it's a bunch of entitled angry lonely men ranting about how women are literally the worst. Check out how many of their posts are about women. They're still letting their love lives (or lack thereof) control them. When you really put your love life on the back burner and do your own thing, you end up not thinking that much about your love life, because you're busy doing other things that you enjoy.

Unless all the girls are lesbians or they're all screwing the same guy, there's lots of guys out there having sex too. Just because you haven't found a girl you like yet doesn't mean she's impossible to find. Fill your life with other things you enjoy, preferably involving groups of people (clubs are great for this). That will a) make romance less necessary, b) make it more likely to meet someone, c) you'll already have something in common. If focusing too much on your love life is detrimental t…

You've definitely got a bit of confirmation bias. I can 100% guarantee you that there are plenty of girls on your campus who aren't having sex all the time, and there are plenty of girls who don't fit the stereotype (emotional, greedy, blah blah). Come on, that's not a real test. A conversation has both participants contributing and steering it. A true equal conversation has a 50/50 talk ratio, with the topic and direction influenced by both speakers. A conversation where one person is clearly leading has between a 60/40 and a 70/30 talk ratio (anywhere beyond that and you descend into the lecture zone, which just makes people annoyed with you). The leader of a guided conversation does direct the main topic and direction, but also has eno…

As a classicist, I feel it is my duty to offer some corrections. First of all, Odysseus was away for 20 years, not 10. Secondly, the Trojan War wasn't about Helen, it was literally all about honor and justice. He stole some of Menelaus' treasure, and he also insulted his honor is a major way by taking his wife. The Iliad, Odyssey and even many later versions of the sto…

You are creating a false equivalence. Tampons should be tax free because they are a medical necessity. Hair curlers and hair spray are not medical necessities. It is unequal to tax a medical necessity that only one gender uses, when medical necessities that both genders use are not taxed. The men's right's movement aims to bring about gender equality. Therefore, tampons should not be taxed.

Thing is, everyone uses toilet paper, soap, and toothpaste. Only women use tampons. Whether or not the tax on toilet paper is too high is a completely different matter from whether or not tampons should be taxed. It would be just as unfair if there were some product that men medically had to use every single month that was taxed, no matter what the tax rate. In the interest of gender equality, tampons should not be taxed. That should be the real issue, not which charities the taxes will support,…
