Incorrect. Men are born with zero value, hence why they need to build their value or else they are considered useless.

That's the reality of being a man. You have to be near perfect. Women are born with value, and men have to build value. Men are resource creators, while women are resource extractors.

It may sound good in theory, but practically, it's bad advice. A man crying is a weakness, especially in front of a woman. She will immediately lose any and all respect.

I am not a Chad. I'm not rich. I'm don't have body like Adonis. I'm also brown, and I read that brown men aren't desired in the west where I grew up. So I avoided interacting with women. Been 13 years since I last talked to one. Now it's too late and I missed out on my prime to attract someone.

I'm 30, brown, but I grew up in the west since I was 12. I always read that girls don't find brown guys attractive due to the stereotype of being creepy and ugly. I believed this narrative growing up. The idea that eveb basic greeting would result in them being disgusted. It made me unable to interact with girls. Spent my entire 20s without a single interaction with women. I don't remember the last time I talked to one or even been near one. I just used work to cope with loneliness. I know it's …

That's a lie. She wants attention from other dudes. She probably doesn't have respect for her boyfriend.

As an Indian dude, anything you do will make you come across as creepy. It's best to avoid interactions with girls.

I do want to learn the skills but my insecurity about my looks prevent me from taking any action.

I'm a SE but I'm still stuck at the stakeholder requirement gathering phase when it comes to dating despite being in the late 20s but I do understand when you say that you have to curate a specific message, do specific things in order for others to like you even outside of dating. But if other engineers can attract women then it’s not impossible for me or us. That's a good way to look at it, never really thought about it this way. Maybe I do have a chance in life then lol

Also a SE. I depended on alcohol throughout my university life to talk to others even though the frequency of the interactions was low. I've been sober for 2 years now and I don't want to resort to a substance to gain temporary power. I feel like the developers you described grew up with abundant social skills, which might make it easier for them to interact on a regular basis; whereas my social interactions were very limited and spending time with computers more than people made it even worse, …

Interesting, this is one of the insecurities that I believed would bore people but from your perspective, you weren't disengaged at all. Thanks for sharing your insight.
/r/seduction10/03/21 01:14 AM

Wouldn't it define the other person as boring or a turn-off with this type of communication style?
/r/seduction09/03/21 10:04 PM

What type of psychedelics do you microdose on? Does it improve your productivity? I thought it would be used as a focus tool rather than invoking emotions?
/r/seduction09/03/21 10:03 PM

😬 definitely describing myself lol. I tend to have short answers because I don't know what to think of/reply to conversations at that moment. Sometimes I wished for a non-logical/analytical brain. It's interesting to see the other side of the story, so thank you for sharing your experience.

There is no age limit to getting better. Logically it makes total sense but emotionally, can't seem to get rid of this mentality. FOMO is huge in this one.

I’m adding all the info here to my data base but not applying anything haha, the analogy is on-point! Definitely can relate

After spending 5 days a week staring at a compute screen, in the beginning it was a battle for me to go out on a Friday night and be able to transition into social mode I feel this, though for me the battle has been going on forever. I spend 7 days staring at screens since I never developed a social life and am riddled with lots of work. I don't even know if it's possible for me to even get into social mode at this age.
/r/seduction09/03/21 03:39 PM

You just described myself word to word. Being an engineer, I can only communicate/think logically, which makes me feel like an alien amongst other people.

Wow, Uber successful. I am currently in a startup working 80-100 hrs a week with 0 social life. Good for you on finding the balance, I believe it's too late for me to get started on developing any type of relationship. How many hours are you putting in?

Then when is the right time for it, how do you know if you are well rounded enough?
/r/seduction04/03/21 03:51 AM

What if figuring out what I bring to the table take me entire life to figure out? Is it better to stay away till then?
/r/seduction02/03/21 01:37 PM

That's the thing, somewhere along the line of growing up....I feel like I lost my genuity. I've been so used to putting on a mask to hide that I don't even know who I am anymore. I have always been a quiet kid, so I don't even know how to hold a decent conversation, let alone present myself.

I watched 1 episode of a podcast on Peter Crone yesterday, he is very insightful and has lots of values to share, I will try to develop some of his practice and see where it takes me. Thank you for the recommendation!

Yeah, I do lack self-confidence. I've been trying to shift my mindset but it's either hard or I'm not doing properly enough. I'm trying to read books on re-programming myself. I am sort of using the excuse to justify my failures. I know age is just a number but to the mind, it's always in FOMO as default mode, it's super annoying to get out of.
/r/seduction16/02/21 04:42 PM

I don't even know why after re-reading this comment, I started to tear up lol. This isn't how I think of/about myself at all. I always tend to focus on things that I'm not doing right, missing; not being attractive enough, not being skilled enough, not being a perfect conversationalist, not having to find happiness and contentment within myself sooner enough, not being well rounded enough, being too old, etc.
/r/seduction15/02/21 04:08 PM

Great read, what if you truly have nothing to offer the world? At the age that I am, there is less hope discovering my thing to provide value to. I feel like most people already found their passion early in life.

Same age and same situation didn't know average looking people get matches on online dating. Thought it was always conventionally attractive ones that have success on OLD, hence why I never bothered making an accont.
/r/seduction12/02/21 09:27 PM

You are so good with words, teach me the ways. I suck at wittiness.

Yeah, I should go find a therapist. I've already been so late in fixing my life.
/r/seduction12/02/21 09:21 PM

I always suffered from low-self esteem and confidence issues, which is why I can't recall an instance. I am working on personal development. I do have anxiety issues and haven't spoken with a therapist. I am trying to fix it myself or at least trying to lol.

What if you can't recall a instance when you felt confident, charming or attractive? Like ever

People like Mark don't care much about fashion, they wear the same type of clothing because it saves time and energy in thinking of what to wear for the day.

The great analogy you used there about the book, captures it perfectly! I agree with technology connecting us but also keeping us apart and the trend amongst the younger generation is also quite scary. Mostly everyone is glued to their phones instead of seeking face-to-face interaction. The sheet anxiety people get when they are confronted in person is unprecedented.

Yep, have to take 1 step at a time. I am terrible at making connections since it doesn't come naturally to me. I wouldn't know where to start when it comes to socializing and finding someone to connect with but I will figure it out one day.
/r/seduction20/01/21 09:45 PM

oh yeah, I feel you to a certain extent. Fortunately, I have enough projects lined up to keep myself busy at all times. I too have been setting aside essential tasks for a long time that I need to get back into. I've been taking advantage of covid by working on all areas of my life except for social. I've come a long way since the start of 2020. The only socialization for me at the moment is with few meetups that I recently joined that are all virtual, last year I left my house like 3-4 times. I…
/r/seduction20/01/21 03:59 PM

I'm in the process of caring less, some days are good but some days my overthinking takes over. I am also trying to focus on hobbies and work, which takes up my majority of the day (7 days/week). I agree, having never put too much effort into socialization in school, having a hard time even get started post-school. I am going to try hard to step out once the covid situation is addressed hopefully by next year.
/r/seduction20/01/21 03:22 PM

Were you able to turn it around or still working on it?
/r/seduction20/01/21 02:46 PM

Wish I had the courage when I was in university. Failed to form any social connections and now I regret every second of it. At this stage, I'm a hermit and lost all hope of ever experiencing anything. FML
