Yes I guess it was an overstatement. But it seems that when feminists admit that men face issues as well its blamed on the patriarchy, and instead of a acceptance of everyone's issues its more of a your issues will just float away if you solve our issues.

Whilst I focus on the male experience, I know women still get fucked over to varying degrees. I'd love a world where NO ONE gets fucked over due to sex/gender/etc. issues and people judge each other by the content of their character> And therein lies the real difference between the movements. Yes, why do the great male examples need to come from a TV screen? My Son who is 4 will go away on many father son camping and fishing trips, trips that have been in existence for generations (he will be the 5th generation to partake in the trip.) I lived with my wife for 10 years before getting married, in a non-common law state, a decade is a good chunk of time to ferret out the crazies. A First Sgt told this lowly Cpl that 50-75% of all military marriages end in divorce, and asked if I would get on a plane that had a 50% chance of crashing. I owe that man so much, so so much.

Agreed its why I've held off, I did walk down one day and asked her dad to reinforce not knocking on our door as sleeping babies plus dogs plus people knocking is a good way to ruin my one brief hour of quiet each Saturday. There is a little girl (9 years old) who riders her bike around our neighborhood every weekend, her dad is "visiting" his lady friend who lives in our neighborhood and she's only with her dad on the weekends. My two young kids love this show, which I stumbled upon one day. As I watched it more I realized ey had two male actors who show up in almost every episode, playing and interacting with children from a wide range of races of both sexes.
