or, some variation of "hey can I get something other than the middle seat? I [insert some bullshit excuse like carsick or something]"

The most charitable explanation would be a front bench seat. a "seat" in the front between the driver and passenger seat. This should never be used by any human. so this "6 seat-er" car might have only had 5 real human seats.

Just some friendly advice pal. Your other arguments are much stronger but when you try and shoehorn them into being a part or direct result of slavery it looks like moving the goal posts or narrow thinking. You leave yourself open to counterpoints that force you to defend the association with slavery instead of advancing your points.

If that is your argument use that, dont blame it all on Slavery because that is a much weaker argument.

Not quite, you're atributing malice. And no it's not "built from the ashes of slavery" and no it's not to controll and exploit. That would be like saying Indian reservations are designed to exploit when they were designed to give self determination and seperation.

No its a result of white people creating a white country that they wish to maintain power in Slavery is a side issue. When large populations threaten the power structures you see a response. There was a similar response to asian migration and mexican migration, even though those groups were not chattle slaves.

I think you are the one who is confused. I said the laws that caused voter supression refered to as "jim crow" were made in order to controll the demographics of people voting to preserve power structures. This is SIMILAR to the process of Gerrymandering (drawing voting districts in a way to controll the voting demographics to preserve power structures) Do you understand?
/r/PussyPassDenied10/08/19 02:21 AM

Because it isn't slavery nor was it justified by slavery It was a measure to controll voting demografics like gerrymandering.

What do those have to do with slavery? You're moving the goal posts. You said slavery not all this other things (because the argument that slavery is a major cause of disperate outcome is a poorly supported argument. That is my point.)

To blame it on slavery requiers you to explain away how other enslaved groups did not have a similar outcome. You would have to explain how American slavery was uniquely damaging. The argument falls apart

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_slavery The history of slavery spans many cultures, nationalities, and religions from ancient times to the present day. However the social, economic, and legal positions of slaves have differed vastly in different systems of slavery in different times and places. Slavery operated in the very first civilizations (such as Sumer in Mesopotamia,[4] which dates back as far as 3500 BCE). Slavery features in the Mesopotamian Code of Hammurabi (c. 1860 BCE), wh…
