No, I picture the typical bro who thinks everything is a competition. They put down others in order to make themselves feel better. They neg women. They want to look bigger so they focus on body building instead of strength training. They believe that these activities make them better than others but really they are displaying a lot of insecurities. Dominant could mean a lot of different things but around here people have painted a picture.

The point is that it is not a binary state, like you suggest. There are quite a large number of ways to express yourself with body language. It isn't always about dominating others, especially when the topic is courtship. There is a whole spectrum of personal taste that rejects the idea of one way to appeal to a human. Humans do not always choose the physically largest mate. They just don't. There is no official mating dance. This is why the seduction subreddit exists: because nobody can figure …

The solution is simple. Hate individuals and not women. To do this you first recognize that "women" are not one thing. They are individuals, just like you. You are not "men" but you are a man. Those things they say about "men" don't apply to you just like the labels you place on "women" don't apply to the woman you are looking for.

There is only so much you can change about yourself. You can't fix stupid or ugly easily. There are plenty of stupid people who think they are "alpha" and project a really ugly personality type.

And the alpha/beta paradigm came from scientists who study the behavior of chimpanzees. Human sexual selection is very different.

In the study of chimpanzees. I know that humans are genetically related to chimps but I like to think that we are different in some very important ways.

Being the one to approach gives you huge advantage. Not many women are doing it. You will find that it is easy to start a conversation with most men. If he doesn't respond well to a simple "hello my name is" you can end the conversation gracefully. Small talk. Simple stuff. Many men will be very happy that you broke the ice. If the conversation goes well but he isn't escalating you can simply probe for interests and invite him to do something you both will enjoy. Giving out a phone number is not…

It has been going on for 11 years and I don't think this has happened before. In my state it is legal for a man to be nude as long as he is not being lewd or aroused. So it is not the event, it is local law.

This is not the way prom works. In fact, you have a much better chance with the fact that your prudish date might suddenly become wild "because prom night". There is a bunch of pressure put on this night and it is stupid. I think you would make a fool of yourself and alienate everyone involved in this prom night partner swap plan. Have a good time with your friend. There are plenty of other parties in your near future.

I know this guy who has mean, hard facial features but he is a social rockstar. He can start a conversation with anyone, anywhere. His trick is being really bubbly and silly. He has no ego at all to the point of self deprecation. Always acting like a ham. Center of attention. He is a very real, honest, nice guy but can also be catty like a girl some times. Total lady killer. Has the most beautiful girlfriends i have ever seen. Also makes a good wingman. I meet people every time we go out. That b…

Everything in life is balanced in a strange way. This group serves as a counterbalance to the extremes of the feminist movement. If you want level headed discussion you might have to look elsewhere. You won't find it in a Men's Rights group or a feminist group. Both have an agenda. There are plenty of people who believe in equal rights for all and don't hold strange assumptions about people they don't know. You just won't see them posting very often. The moderates are always under represented. J…

You need to get the hell off TRP. You have obviously developed some serious mental delusions due to reading some stupid shit here and then you ask them for help? To get some more terrible advice? You might want to find a therapist to talk to. The problems you are describing are psychosomatic. You need to learn to exist naturally without being so preoccupied with projecting a false self image. You can improve yourself but putting on some act all the time is not actual improvement.

Well doug, I'm not considering starting a family with the drunk girl I just met at the party. Certainly not going to knock her up drunk and expect to raise a child. That's the difference between me and you I suppose. A legal right is a clearly defined thing. A genetic right is something you made up. You should go back to school if you don't understand how language and communication work. Or are you really that dense?
/r/MensRights06/02/15 07:00 PM
0

You should only use one definition at a time if you want to communicate effectively. People might misunderstand you if you say that someone wants to take away your public right of way, right angles, right answers and other rights. (Notice that sounded dumb like a person talking about the right to sex and the right to bear arms at the same time.)

/r/MensRights06/02/15 02:18 AM

I implied nothing. My quote was a statement of fact. Thank you for the fine example of word twisting. The word right has many definitions. The right to bear arms is a legal right. There is no legal right regarding sex at all. Please use the dictionary. Legal rights are often called civil rights and they are defined in legal texts like the bill of rights. Any other definition of the word right should not be lumped in with legal rights as they are not the same. There is no "right to sex". Although…

Twist words? You mean quoting verbatim? Read the comment again. He clearly says mans right to have sex and then talks about the right to bear arms. The right to bear arms is in the bill of rights. There is no right to sex in the bill of rights. These words have clear meaning. If you don't mean right then don't say right. For example: driving is a privilege and not a right. You have no right to drive your car.

That is a valid concern. We should make the entry tests difficult enough to match operational difficulty. Simple solution.

You have a lot of experience arguing with toddlers? I'll bet it's hard for you. Go straight to insults when logic fails you. You don't know anything about me or my beliefs. I hope you are better composed when trying to explain your worldview to your children. They might not accept your "this is the way things is" without logical basis.
/r/MensRights04/02/15 12:02 AM
-1

Holy crap. First off the average male isn't a firefighter. Second averages aren't real people they are statistics. The test is designed to measure operational fitness. If you think it is letting weak people in then you can argue that the test should be more difficult. Fine. Women will still pass the test. Hire them. They aren't average.
/r/MensRights03/02/15 11:31 PM
-1

Some of these are non issues. For example there are physical requirements to becoming a firefighter. If the applicant passes the physical tests then they can have the job. The gender is irrelevant. Look up "female powerlifter" and tell me that they don't have enough strength.
/r/MensRights03/02/15 11:06 PM
-2

Can you explain where "a mans right to have sex" comes from? I don't remember that one in the bill of rights. Last time I checked sex required two people who both have equal rights in America.
/r/MensRights03/02/15 10:52 PM

The relevance is that law has no gender. It should be a set of rules that everyone must follow. Unfortunately, I just looked up rape in two law dictionaries and found that it stated only women can be victims of rape. Not just that a man is the only perpetrator. This leaves no provision for male on male or for sexual abuse perpetrated by a woman.

To be fair, one is a criminal act. The other terms you brought up are descriptive terms that are offensive and derogatory. I suppose being a whore is a crime in some places but it's hardly a like comparison.

There are historic institutions that created "The patriarchy". First was "the church". Then "the police" and now the International banking syndicate that crashed the world economy in 2008. You are not here to please women. You are not your sexual conquests. You are a man who has value alone. You do not need the approval of a woman to be the person you want to be. I understand if having a healthy relationship is a big goal for you but finding yourself is far more important right now. Dream big. Drive fast. Take chances. Pick up a girl along the way. She is not your destination she is your companion in the journey. Where are you going?

There are more male chefs than female. Cooking is not feminine. It's a survival skill and therefore manly. Tailors have traditionally been men. Making clothing is not feminine in nature. Very few activities have a clear gender association. Your examples are bizarre artifacts of housewife tasks from the 50's concept of a nuclear family. Asking your wife to do something for you does not make the task feminine.

It sure can be. Context is everything. Social constructs are complicated because different groups have different ideas of normalcy. What seems like a casual interaction to one person could be horrifying to another. You have to know your audience. If you aren't sure about what is considered acceptable by your peer group then you should always use caution. I'm not sure what generation you are from but direct communication seems more acceptable now than it was in the past. People are generally less…

Average men for whom love isn't in the cards? That sounds like an omega. Pretending to be alpha won't change who you are. This is supremely absurd. Undesirable men using emotional manipulation because they can't get laid? Is that what is going on here? y'all need to be honest with yourselves. You are a disgrace to the manosphere and you aren't doing mankind any favors by personifying the thing which feminists hate. You are adding fuel to the fire.

Thank you for sharing. That video is bloody amazing. It should be sticky or in the sidebar. I was focusing on the textbook definition which is very different from this real world example. I think a lot of people are not aware of this information so I would caution against lumping all feminists in to this predatory category. I know the women in my life have not seen this and I will show it to them.

That's very interesting. I maintain that marriage, in America, is a legal process controlled by the state. This is different than the traditional marriage contract issued by a church. If you don't participate in the system then you don't get the benefits that gay people are asking for when they ask for legal gay marriage. We are talking about taxes, power of attorney, inheritance, healthcare. It's got nothing to do with the reasons why you would actually choose a spouse.

You don't get to define what feminism is. You also see what you want to see. The actions of individuals are independent from ideals. Here is some dictionary for you: Pronunciation: \ˈfe-mə-ˌni-zəm\ Function: noun Date: 1895 1 : the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes Main Entry: egal·i·tar·i·an·ism Pronunciation: -ē-ə-ˌni-zəm\ Function: noun Date: 1905 1 : a belief in human equality especially with respect to social, political, and economic affairs

I am a man and a feminist. One of the tenents of feminism is egalitarianism. I like the men's rights movement because it seeks to separate feminism from misandry. I know a lot of people don't understand the difference. Feminists and MRAs are not mutually exclusive. Just like not all MRAs are guilty of misogyny not all feminists are guilty of misandry. The common goal we share is that we want to be respected. I seek to depolarize the conversation. When you recognize that we both seek to have one …

I just want to point out that marriage licenses are issued by the state. To get a divorce you have to go to a state court and tell them why you want to separate. If you don't provide sufficient reasoning and evidence then your divorce can be denied. Marriage is a legal system wholly owned by your government. Without all that stuff all you have is a ceremony and a vow. Anybody can perform a ritual and vow to make life long bonds. Not anybody can get a marriage license recognized by the state. In …

This is a great example of dark triad, period. The dark triad is a terrible condition that a very small number of people are born with. They are not role models. They are psychotics and killers. The "successful" ones are no better for society. They can cause more harm over a lifetime if they never snap. When people talk about detecting and preventing mass killers they are talking about finding dark triad people and locking them up.

Start by smiling like your really excited about looking at this person. Hopefully this is just expressing how you feel because I'm not telling you to fake emote. Once you make eye contact look away in a shy manner but continue smiling and then look back. If he is smiling back at this point all you have to do is say hi. Introduce yourself. Sometimes you would rather people not know about a bad choice. You cannot blame someone else for telling the truth. She is ashamed of herself. If she wasn't then she would not care who knew.
