Out of curiosity, how do most of you deal with this shit test in real life? Girls that throw the F-word around, I mean. Is there a response we can default to or is keeping my distance the best bet?

I hear you, but there's a cost for everything. Even your time has its value. Women get this more than men because they don't waste their time with those who don't deserve it.

Trust me, you wouldn't believe the stories guys will tell you of the shit they go through when they finally meet a girl that treats them well. It's like having to relearn how to be decent to someone in return, we're so used to doing sketchy shit to protect our hearts (surprise, we feel things!)

I come into this thread and I'm just blown away by the level of gratefulness here

Yes, it's going to be a journey for you, but don't despair. No amount of genuine and positive change has ever happened overnight. The things you go through and the mistakes we make are all the lessons we need to become the person we want to be. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Being wrong is a blessing, because you learned something new.

Nothing is ruined. But another person to throw yourself into isn't your solution. Until you can definitively say you're happy(ish) with yourself, what exactly are you sharing with this person? When it comes to the push and pull, the wax and wane of a relationship, what will be your side of the coin? Being together is a joint experience. Make sure you've brought your big girl panties and combat bootstraps for the adventure. Edit: Sex is nothing to be ashamed of. We are biologically programmed to …

Addendum: You're at the age now where you're realizing you don't know half the things you think you knew and that you were lied to about the other half. Being on RPW is a great start at learning to be happy within this society contrary to what we've been told about male/female relationships. You'll be fine, but get used to the idea that things might not be what you've been taught them to be and you'll be okay. Keep an open mind.

All this is great and all, but what it sounds like is "I want a sexual partner that will agree to have sex with me exclusively, at a time and place of my choosing and will in the meantime deal with all the baggage I'm bringing into this "relationship" (that I've coerced him into with the vague, steamy promise of sex)" At no point do you mention finding someone you enjoy being around and who enjoys you in return. Long term relationships taken seriously can be difficult, especially if you're not h…

Speaking from experience, it only works when both parties communicate effectively. Don't shy from the iffy conversations, just have them.

Lmfao have you learned nothing? Anger is pointless. Anger only poisons you and causes you to lose focus.

Trust me man, it was a hard lesson, but it's served me so much better since I learned it.

You, my friend, are an optimist. By that I mean, when youve just met somebody and don't know anything about them, you fill all the holes of information about them you don't have with good things. You make positive assumptions about things you don't know about them. You fall in love with the idea of them. YOUR idea of them. This unrealistic approach is going to always blow up in your face, because when you are struck with any realistic part of their personality/being, it is going to send you reel…

I think you are confusing their inaction with inability, and glossing over a crucial fact: Women are smart. Women are social geniuses and will employ plausible deniability whenever most benefits them. Specifically, the shut down. That is not involuntary. They are choosing to say/do nothing because later on, you cannot prove they said or did anything if they did nothing, which brings me to my second point their "I dont know why"s. They know why. Despite their seemingly obvious lack of capacity fo…

I read all that and it just screamed at me "He's fucking somebody else" because the way he is reacting is exactly how I feel when somebody comes over and I've already fucked relatively recently. EDIT: Also, it seems like he has it all from you. There's no need for hunger from him, since you keep him well-fed. I understand your trepidation about the fizzling excitement, but when a man is well cared-for, he is content. I do not believe you are doing anything wrong.

Came here to say this, was beaten to the punch. My advice is to be scarce for a while and see what happens. Don't answer her texts immediately and just generally seem busy. If she's still trying to talk to you in two weeks, bring up meeting again. When you make yourself constantly available, it tells them you're putting all your eggs in one basket, something she absolutely doesn't find attractive. People want what they can't have.

I don't want to debate OPs choice of word in "slave" but I think we can agree nobody expects women to turn into your slaves just because you piss them off by making yourself unavailable. Recognize what was said and not the literal interpretation. Ever heard the phrase "eating out of your hands"? basically how he meant slave

I think you're in the wrong thread. Are we posting in the same thread here? OP is talking about holding back and showing a bit of self-restraint mixed with some playful teasing, which we can all agree is something girls enjoy. What the blue hell are you going on about?

This "teasing crap" is how you identify which kind of girl she is. The kind that tries, or the kind that doesn't. We are not mind readers and I encourage you to remember at all stages of life: It is always what people choose to do that matters, very rarely ever what they say. Put her in a position of choosing action or inaction and you'll know which girl you have on your hands

Good stuff, but next time, try not to be so rattled when this happens. They're not kidding about that "amused mastery", it really works. Say what you mean to say, but when its said calmly, its doubly effective (and comes off as less emotional/whiny (not that you did)).

Are you religious or have a history with it? This sounds suspiciously like Catholic Guilt, which is something I've gone through myself.

Realized my need to be understood/appreciated on my terms was holding me back from my life goals and by living by a self-imposed set of rules, I was trying to force the world to play MY game, rather than win at their game. And a woman, what else.

I feel like there should be a sticky at the top that links to a new subReddit dedicated just to this. Works improvement through brutal honesty about the state of things, led by men with the drive to work within the system to change the system.

Thank you for saying something of real importance. I recognize that some will take issue with your choice of sub, but I think you are speaking to the right people, regardless of the content of this subReddit. I'm going to spread this around as much as I can because YOU SIR are keeping your head in the ultimate game. The biggest picture.
