What’s worse is that the more makeup she cakes on her face, the more it might destroy the skin. It’s a dangerous feedback loop - eventually she can’t even get into bed without it because her face is so destroyed. Exactly. My own mother would operate the same way - she would only do something for me, good or bad, if in some direct or indirect way she would benefit from the deed, be it sending me to a good school or trying to keep me away from financial education as much as possible.
