Tenure is only a US thing.

My wife had a very unpleasant mother. My wife used to hate her mother. Then things went wrong and my wife ended up acting exactly like her mother.

My wife used to say things like that. Then I lost my job and she left and wanted everything (after 25 years). You just never know if someone is telling the truth. Also people act differently in difficult situations. Good luck.

Had a young 5 year experience woman promoted into a position over me that she was not qualified for. I also applied for the position and was qualified to do it (20 years experience). She was promoted because she was "good" (read flirty) with clients. Other employees wanted me to get the position, as I knew what I was doing and my expectations of staff were reasonable, and would defend them from mad clients. Most thought that she must be having an affair with the general manager.

I could really do with some help from the patriarchy. Can anyone give me their contact details?

Good point. I think that the radical feminist groups are actually dying. What we are seeing currently is their desperate attempts to stay relevant. They are getting more and more radical in an attempt to attract a following. But because it is all out there on the internet it is actually doing harm to their own cause.

If you are in Australia its illegal to ask any of those questions on a job application. You would have a good case for a discrimination complaint.

Stop generalizing generalizations

You say that the women gets custody in 99% of cases. This is obviously very unfair. Unless there is a good reason, custody should be shared 50-50. If the women gets custody in 99% of cases this means that 99% of the time it is the man who has to pay support. Again not fair. There is obviously a strong bias in your system in favor of women even if theoretically the man could get support, they only get this in 1% of cases. If there was no bias this should happen in 50% of cases.

People who do this are mostly suffering from personality disorders like psychopathy, or narcissism. Court psychologists do not call this out because they are scared of getting sued. People like this do not care about their kids, they just use them to get what they want.

I'm in Australia. I used to think like you. Then I got divorced and experienced the legal system. I say legal not Justice as in my experience there is no justice. In Australia the feminist movement is quite strong and get a lot of legislation passed that is detrimental to justice in family courts. The media only report issues from the feminist perspective. That is men are inherently bad. For instance you can lie in court now if you are claiming you are abused, which is mostly what women do, and …

I don't get to see my kids because of parental alienation So days that are traditionally family oriented and mostly about your kids are very painful

Thanks. Its also very hard on the children ,as I'm sure you know, when they get old enough to understand what has happened. Courts think they they are doing the correct thing by the children but its anything but. Knowing that you cant do anything to help your kids is on of the worst aspects.

This is exactly my story as an ex husband. It is also one of the main reasons that suicide is so high amongst men.

Its the same in Australia. The "all men are evil" narrative is very strong here, especially in most of the media.

You have probably not delt with many lawyers. They are trained to argue their side regardless of whether they are correct or not, their job is to argue for which ever side their client in on. Justice and law are two different things.

In my experience as a man. If you express emotions to others many will avoid you. Or maybe I just don't have many real friends. Saying that men should express their emotions more sounds good in theory, but in the real world it seems to be counter productive at least in my experience as it seems to drive people away. Express emotions in therapy but be careful doing it in public. I used to think that being honest was a good thing, but after going through 5 year of family court I have found that an…

Your experience just highlights how much more men are needed in psychology. Hang in there for the rest of us men. Psychologists who cant relate to both men's and women's problems in order to help clients are unlikely to have a very long careers.

Then you get made redundant, and find out that your wife was only staying with you for the money and so she didn't have to go to work. And she leaves you taking the kids. She lies in court and gets full custody of the kids (after a 5 year court battle) and you are left with nothing. Well that's my story anyway.
