Hey man you're kind of all over the place. Saying life's not about fucking pussy but 95% of life is? Elder folks especially 70+ are not fucking like you think they are. They just want companionship, think what you want, to each their own. I don't live in a tribe where my offspring will be the future of said tribe. What do I think life is about? What are my priorities? Besides building a future for myself I believe in healthy relationships and positive experiences.

My dad stopped joking around when he got depressed and he didn't leave a funny light hearted note if that's what you're asking. In my father's memory I am making a success of myself. On my own. You think being is all about fucking pussy? Maybe in high school but once you grow up you have new and higher priorities.

Hey man. I appreciate the reply. I didn't want sympathy. I just notice a lot of people acting hard on this site but I just wanted to remind them nothing is permanent and you can break down at any moment. I'm not offended by any of the replies. I respect people's opinions.

I realize that now but didn't when. I first made the thread. Like I said I don't understand all this lingo and slang. I'm like 80 yrs old in a 28 yr old body. I just found out about vine videos like a month ago. And my friend goes that shit is still around? Good people here man.

Naw definitely not. I was actually his coat pocket for change because I'm such a piece of shit (joke) I found the note in his pocket. Read it quick and put it back.

Yoo. I didn't want people to care. First off, this is the Internet. 99.9% of threads on this site I could care less about. It's about passing time while I have my smoke or daily shit.

I don't mind what people say or type about me. It was the other posts where I was in other threads such as that's a pussy mentality. So beta. Etc etc. I didn't realize it was ball busting. I mentioned I'm new here. Maybe so, I was raised in a house of 4 women after my dad passed.

How thank you! I'm always willing to learn more about the human mind. I ordered it. I have about a dozen self help and spiritual books to get through but I'll add this one to the stack. You know, even with my own experience with mental health and what it can do to someone I never took the time to study it. I'm learning so much these days. My problem may be that I am believing all of it.

You have to learn to live with regrets. In regards to my situation, I have forgiven myself and believe he would of done it anyway. The damn thought of what if haunts me. Haunts me to the point where I would dream that he blamed me, disappointment and anger. Everything I feel towards myself. It's my subconscious speaking to me. I didn't realize that for a while l, I would just wake up. Feel like shit and continue on. These dreams would be 4-5 times a month. Since my breakdown and since I started …

Ahh I see. Yes my past snuck up on me but I didn't dwell on it. Certain triggers that I had ways of dealing with didn't work and it was too much and it all came emotionally. I had to grieve. Everyone has to deal with past issues. If you lost someone close to you and had a hard time in the grieving process that does not make you any less of a man. If your complaining that you're broke, or unhappy with your love life or job situation then that makes you a less of a man. Depression is your stress p…

That's good to hear. Maybe pick up a sport or other activity to do together too. I'm glad you're bonding with your dad.

When I started meditation I would listen to what my body was saying. I felt empty and sad deep in my chest where my soul is. I would focus on this area of pain. For hours I would navigate through my emotions until I felt relief from the pain with each exhale. Practicing this daily was painful at first but has helped in the long wrong. Only 5 weeks in so I'm sure there's lots more to discover.

My father was sick and I do not blame him for his actions. I just fantasize with the thought of what if I did this or that. It's not healthy and I'm working on getting passed that.

I used it as motivation for 15 years but I couldn't deal with with it alone and like I said at the 15 year I broke down hard. I lost my composure when it comes to handling emotional triggers.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. I think family life would help me avoid what I don't want to deal with emotionally. But what happens when that's over and I'm retired and nothing to do but think think think. Continue to support your father.

I misread a lot of comments before making the post. I see a lot of help and guidance. I took ball busting as hatred. Man I never been on a forum so excuse me if I can't understand the tone of a comment.

Thanks. I tried not to succumb to it by avoidance. But eventually it all caught up with me. I went to therapy when it first happened but I was forced to go by my mom. I just sat here and didn't want to talk. Now I am doing CBT on my own will. You have to want to get help if you want to get better.

I could care less what someone I see in real life thinks of me let alone users here online. The point of the thread was that it can all crash and burn at any moment. You can work on being a strong man, focused and motivated to achieve success but in reality we are all full of feelings and emotions that can hinder our lives. I just mentioned some of my accomplishments. Believe me, I nitpicked them all and only pointed out the negatives. I had a hard time telling my friends I started a business or…

I doubt those words helped anyone depressed enough that they were contemplating suicide.

What is trp? I do have a therapist. Covered under OHIP. God bless Canada!! I'm talking with him tomorrow. He challenges my way of thinking. I suggest you do the same.

You have a lot of hate inside you. I realized a while ago that money doesn't make me happy. Humble brag garbage. I've done more in my life than most grown men get to do. I recognized that and I don't act hard or big. I have maintained many relationships and have strong respect from my peers. I command that type of shit and you're just here to make me feel guilty or whatever. I don't know the average age of a user on this site but I wished I had access to guidance like this when I was younger.

I don't think I'd be the man I am today if my father was alive. Let it go. That's what my meditation is for. I get deep, each exhale I feel a little tension being released. Meditation these last few months has been the greatest experience of my life.

I'm where you're at when your partner died. I have my own business, I am doing well and I enjoy the hustle of owning your own company. Playing sports is the only time I live in the moment. I don't know where you got that I'm some type of sports manager. I don't know what I want. I could care less about partying and boozing that shit gets old quick. Cool that you had to comment on being rich though, talk money homie!

Thing is I was fucking numb for over a year. Money, accomplishments, sex, nothing made me feel anything. Depression is fucked up and it kind of sneaks up on you.

Thanks man. Gratitude goes a long way. Grieving is fucked up. I avoided it for a long time and it just caught up to me. I read an article a few weeks back that Prince Harry took 20 years to grieve the death of his mother. Everyone is different. My problems are within and my happiness will come from within.

Canada eh. Hockey. And I organize my men's adult hockey team. It's a team full of my buds and yes I do play as well. The football league is again a men's adult football league. I organize a team and the league which consists of 5 other teams. I do it because I want to fucking play sports. It's my only escape and I just love it. It's a lot of work but when you don't waste time on TV or the Internet you have a shit ton of spare time. I would of loved to be a manager of a real sports team. Regardle…

Neurotic indeed. My mind was constantly racing. I never thought it was bad because I was usually focusing on my future. But it's bad to be constantly planning. Life's too short

Absolutely! With meditation (I've been practicing for over 5 weeks straight) I harshly critique myself and it made me compare myself to others. Something I never thought I'd do. Meditation has quieted my thoughts. I have found space in my mind. That has allowed me to listen to positive thoughts.

I hear you. Forgive me I'm new to the online world. Ball busting is something I am well-used to. I played junior hockey and know all about comraderie. Can't relate to the rest of your comment though.

I understand that's it's all me being self attached to the past. I have taken steps to fix that. Not sure how you think I'm externalizing my problems onto others?

You're right. This place has more positive comments than negative. I should of spent more time reading before I decided to write a post.

Since my breakdown I have realized true happiness comes from the inside and it's a state of mind. I'm glad I came to this realization now rather than later. I didn't forgive myself due to the events that took place afterwards. Losing my uncle and mentor. Mother got cancer. Best friend murdered, another friend commits suicide. It's just kept going on and on therefore I never forgave myself. I have since and I no longer allow my 13 year old former self to control my thoughts.
