BBC News - A woman who had sex with a 15-year-old schoolboy has been warned she "could" face jail. - Glad to know jail is optional for female rapists! In terms of criminal sentencing, no. | /r/MensRights | 03/03/15 12:07 AM
35 year old female teacher who sexually abused 15 yo student breaks down in court claiming she is the victim.Because arbitrary laws are very hard to enforce, surely? How would they assess each individual case to see if they were sexually mature enough? Wouldn't that put more strain on an already sluggish court system? I agree with what you say absolutely, but we don't live in an ideal world. | /r/MensRights | 21/12/14 01:11 PM
Just saw this in my course selection. Computer science courses are now segregated by gender.Studies have shown that men and women learn differently. Citation? As far as I'm aware, male/female neurophysiology is very similar, I'd be surprised if there was much difference in learning technique. | /r/MensRights | 12/11/14 06:34 PM

Local College is removing mens-only restroomsMy psychology course is like 4:1, if not higher. Girls end up queuing for 5-10 minutes to use the bathrooms but the lads have no such problems. While I'd be very against a situation like the one OP has highlighted, this really is a problem for girls in my class; it's just ridiculous that they should have to wait that long, or walk to another building, just to use a bathroom in decent time. The female bathrooms should be designated more space from the outset because, naturally, they need it. | /r/MensRights | 04/11/14 11:59 AM
Remember to Upvote! Also important to upvote, or at least not downvote, posts with dissenting views from the norm. If it doesn't violate sub rules; if it stimulates discussion; it's valuable whether you disagree with it or not. | /r/MensRights | 07/10/14 04:02 PM
I hit my boyfriend this morning and it has changed my view on the men's rights movement.I think it's good practice to apply a principle of charity with posts. | /r/MensRights | 02/10/14 03:54 PM

I just wanted to say, "Thanks."I got banned for asking someone to cite sources. Apparently asking for some evidence is misogyny. | /r/MensRights | 25/04/14 01:33 PM
| -12 | Woman makes sexual advances on taxi driver and he is sent to jail. (xpost from /videos)Regardless, the guy didn't go to jail, and this makes the title factually wrong. On a subreddit like this, it's crucial to provide honest, pertinent information in posts. | /r/MensRights | 14/04/14 10:58 PM |
An egalitarian interpretation of 'Rape Culture'.Agreed, but we are working with the best figures that we've got; it seems sensible to apply the principle of charity to the CDC survey, once the methodological bias is eliminated. In reality, it's always going to be very difficult to determine rape statistics, as there is significant under-reporting from both men and women. | /r/MensRights | 06/04/14 09:36 PM
An egalitarian interpretation of 'Rape Culture'.No, the original breakdown which failed to include 'made to penetrate' as a form of rape. | /r/MensRights | 06/04/14 07:42 PM
An egalitarian interpretation of 'Rape Culture'.On your first point, I'll play the devil's advocate here; while some feminists do have that mindset, I have also met some who acknowledge some female participation in the aggressor statistic/male participation in the victim statistic. The problem is that studies with discriminatory methodology, like the previously linked CDC survey, provide biased results. These were highlighted and critiqued in the infographic. Therefore it is first vital to prevent this misinformation, and ensure everyone is w… | /r/MensRights | 06/04/14 03:33 PM
Getting threats for statutory rape and I need help.Lawyer up. The picture you shared in these comments could very well be of someone underage. If you have evidence of her Craigslist post with the age she stated, you might have a chance, but this seems very dodgy to me. If the girl is too young, ultimately you have to take some responsibility. | /r/MensRights | 06/04/14 06:28 AM

My sister just shared this on Facebook. . . Pretty disappointedOn your second point, I do think it's just your intuition talking. Being made to penetrate has very similar psychological consequences for males as being penetrated does for females. To separate the issues, to see male rape in the context of being made to penetrate as being a lesser crime, is stupid. | /r/MensRights | 12/03/14 06:55 PM
My sister just shared this on Facebook. . . Pretty disappointedThe disparity between the genders with respect to sexual violence is big enough to be relevant to the discussion. See the disparity isn't actually all that great : http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/143skb/2010_cdc_survey_on_sexual_violence_shows_that/ Many, many studies which explore sexual violence negate forced-to-penetrate as within the definition of 'rape', but this is ridiculous and should be contested. When forced-to-penetrate statistics are introduced, the overall numbers change… | /r/MensRights | 12/03/14 04:53 PM
Husband was falsely accused. Justice system works backwards. Lessons learned. On the contrary, it's a very rational place, and people do fucked up things quite frequently for rational reasons (i.e. personal gain). | /r/MensRights | 21/02/14 04:23 PM
Husband was falsely accused. Justice system works backwards. Lessons learned."Then the detectives came to our apartment to next day, Valentine’s Day, to question him about a day the previous week she had come over for 15 minutes, all verified by WoW chat rooms, and been tickled for roughly 3 seconds. " Can you clear this up a bit? I have no idea what you meant here, sorry if I'm being thick. | /r/MensRights | 21/02/14 04:19 PM
I wish more women would understand the kind of predicament this puts men inSounds like she might have some very deep-seated issues with males. You're right, it's very strange, dissonant behaviour. "I have never gotten comfortable treating her like that in bed, but I do it for her sometimes." This doesn't sound like a healthy thing man. Ironically, in this case, it seems like you are the one being pressured into doing things you might not necessarily enjoy. Talk to her about it. | /r/MensRights | 21/02/14 04:06 PM
I wish more women would understand the kind of predicament this puts men inIndeed. There's a very dangerous grey area between sexual assertiveness and excessive pressurizing. | /r/MensRights | 21/02/14 04:00 PM

Man's face severely shredded with glass over facebook message, the attacker received a 51 week suspended sentence and 120 hours unpaid workChrist those were some serious cuts... That guy is lucky to have had such good surgery performed. That woman should not be getting off this easily. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/13 06:22 PM
In the UK, there is a campaign to ban men's magazines because misogyny. Meanwhile, this is how one of the best-selling women's magazines treats women. I know which one I think is more dangerous.Apparently chubby = actually has hips...? | /r/MensRights | 30/12/13 09:32 PM
This is not funny. No, it's not. An incredibly small percentage of 'trauma' (which is by definition the source of the condition) is experienced by combatants during war; it simply manifests itself more noticeably in this group of people. In reality, trauma includes events such a sexual assault, serious injury, the loss of a loved one, etc. So no, it's not by far the most likely reason at all. | /r/MensRights | 23/12/13 01:47 PM
This is not funny.I was actually just surprised that you concluded all PTSD must be a result of war. | /r/MensRights | 22/12/13 09:52 PM
