Once I felt like I was ready to start dating, I just plugged my phone into the computer and start taking pictures of her off. Put it on the thumb drive, put it in the drawer. I don’t want to delete a part of my life. But I also don’t want to be reminded of it every day.

I remember how cold the bed felt. If you don’t have travel plans? Think about getting a dog. It will give you something to do. I’m gonna hang out with. The house feels way less lonely. You can take it for walks. Go camping to take it out. So much you can do.and your kids will love that you have a dog.

Get yourself a divorce attorney. Like on Tuesday. Send your ex-wife a text message that says “I no longer wish to talk to you. Please do not contact me again. If you need to get in touch with me, please contact (insert attorney and attorney phone number) If she shows up at your house, or place a business after this. Call the police, file report for harassment. And then go to the courthouse and file a restraining order. Get her out of your house. She has threatened you with the police in the past…

Here’s the one thing you need to realize. And think about. When is the last time you went to mini golf, bowling, the movies, or anything? And saw someone there by themselves, and thought “what a loser”. Or, “what a creep” You don’t even notice people when they’re out by themselves doing their own thing for the most part. This is completely in your head. Live your life.

A lot of white people say on here is like put your head down. Go to the gym. Make yourself better. I didn’t do any of that. I moved to a different state to be near friends that I had from when I was in the military. And started working jobs. I had always wanted to work. Until I found one that took me places I wanted to go. They turned into a career, and they got me going where I wanted to go. One of the biggest things I can tell people, and it’s one of the hardest ones. Especially on here. But i…

My life took off. Because she was 100% weighing me down. Got a great career, ended up buying a restaurant. Own my own home. None of which would’ve been possible if I was still married to her.

It is it not an option for you to try to get majority custody? All I’m saying, is go on the offensive. If she’s going to continually take you to court and make you pay for Lawyer? Do the same thing. Be petty.

Why are you letting her control this? Go back to court and get actual 50/50.

Oh no dude. We got divorced 100% because of her. Her depression, and withdraw from wife/sex is what led to the divorce. And she was totally amicable in the divorce. That’s probably why I don’t have such a terrible view of getting married again. It’s because the separation process was smooth. But going through life is hard enough by yourself. And I am surrounded by successful marriages. So why not want to do it again? Thanks for the sub. I know how to protect myself a little better if I do get ma…

Honestly? Why even think about getting married again if it ever happens again? It’s because I liked being married, I just didn’t like who I was married to. It’s that simple.

In the immortal words of Ross Geller “ we were on a break” It is absolutely not cheating. Unless you were the one that wanted the break and then the other person went slept with somebody else. Then it feels like betrayal

Time, and meeting someone else. But mostly time. Red Foreman has a great quote about this while talking to Eric, about his ex girlfriend: “ There were times when I thought I would never get over her, but time pass. And I moved on. And then the day came when I didn’t think about it as much. And then more days came along, and I thought about her even less. And then one day, I realize I didn’t think about her at all. And then that made me sad” Time heals all wounds, especially wounds of the heart.

She can only go after half of the equity of the home for the time you were married. This is the only comment in this entire thread that matters to you right now in regards to your house. Because you owned the house before you got married, she is only going to be entitled to 50% of how much the house has increased in value. The end.
