Most people fail to understand that when I say "all X is Y" I mean that "X is so frequently true that I'd much rather use Z as my default response than regret it". So when I say "all lawyers are assholes" and some lawyer posts underneath "hey, I'm not an asshole" people think they just disproved my claim. But the rule's goal is to dictate my behavior. I'm generating rules to live by, I'm not doing scientific research. I'm not doing physics, chemistry or mathematics.

Through the halo effect, his looks will make them assume that he is very popular. Until he opens his mouth and let the sewage out. The goal isn't to become the equivalent of the hot slut that talks about nothing more than 1 activity and gossip. For that to happen, deliberate training of your social skills is a must, otherwise you let your direct environment set the tone of your personal growth.

I'm guessing the way you project yourself is not consistent with your smv in that you're acting in a way that only someone with a higher smv could get away with. It's like trying to act as if you're indifferent to hot girls when you're a fat ugly nerd with no social presence. This is why I keep saying to change yourself from the ground up, not just the way you act in X/Y/Z scenarios.

I trim the hair around my nipples because my chest lacks of any other hair and it looks odd. But if I had normal chest hair then no fucking way.

Seconding that. I think they even pinned a video yesterday, for those who can't understand the terminologies. There's even an Android app that also has videos. The only excuse people have to not exercise is their laziness.

Someone has to make a distinction between "looking content, that life is good and you're enjoying it" and "be the clown guy". A lot of betas (and I suppose me a year ago) would misinterpret the message due to their innate black and white thinking, kinda like when you're telling someone to be an asshole and he imagines the most extreme example.

My greatest problem to change schedule is that it takes at least 30 mins to an hour to fall asleep, and that's when I'm lucky. I will always be jealous of people who claim that falling asleep for them is as easy as flipping a switch.

The fact that you're not only READING, but REFERENCING Cracked, a SJW clickbait website (EX: 5 Prejudices That Video Games Can't Seem to Get Over. Yes, but would you rather have a marriage counselor to advise you on where your marriage went bad or actually put your critical thinking cogs in actions and try to discern patterns by looking at both the couples they succeeded (and what does even success means for them, because if they get laid once every 5 years and that's a success for them, it's just their opinion) and the ones who failed. We both look for the right kind of information AND the right kind of person to give it, and until then w…

You obviously haven't read the sidebar books yet, because both "Models" by Manson and "No More Mr. Nice Guy" advocate healthy masturbation over porn wiring. Turns out there's more than one solution to solve a porn problem. Also, fuck those who think that "sex can't be like porn". Porn didn't invented the porn sex. The porn sex was tailored to be in line with the viewer's deepest desires. They are those who want to fuck a girl they want hard, and those who do. Way before video porn was a thing.

If I'm broke and living on the streets are you going to take financial advice from me? If it's related with what led to to end up homeless and I want to avoid such a result, why the fuck not? I mean, is the marriage advice of a divorsed man bad because he ended up divorsing? Maybe he did because he had a bitch wife that asked him to put a hefty part of his fortune in her name and he said "no bitch, fuck off"? I once saw a girl on Facebook posting a pic of her sitting on the lap of someone else - other than her boyfriend. As a bluepiller I promptly reminded her that this behavior is silly because she's an adult and she has a boyfriend. Guess what happened. She never talked to me again. This is the shit you gotta put up with when you deal with women. Calling them outright indecent or suggesting they act indecently makes you look like you're harassing her. She feels uncomfortable when you point the trut…

The problem is that, typical blue pill thinking identifies "me" as "the owner of personality traits and thoughts". A red pill thinking would say "you cannot possibly become someone else no matter what you do because you're doomed to be you". Admits that change is the only constant.

You know that's true when you overhear women who decided to settle (30+ decline) talking about how they wish to find a rich man to provide for them. I happened to hear such discussion when I was a kid, but couldn't connect the dots before TRP. If anything I found it "completely normal" because "you need food to eat, and not just love".

To clarify, as an atheist: I learned to appreciate religion for what it is - a body of rules and knowledge that are meant to be timeless that inform the average person through storytelling how they should act towards someone of their religious group (or not). It's not perfect but it's bloody working most of the time.

Me before TRP: "All men are pretty much the same, it's just a matter of personal preference that defines who is attractive and who isn't". Me after TRP: "There are some pretty fucking clear lines between the attractive male and the not attractive male. So clear that I have no idea what the fuck I was smoking back then. Now time to identify what is what and apply it to fix my shit".

Beta is a behavior, everyone including OP are failing so hard to understand that looks alone do not define alpha and beta. The fact that OP is even strawmaning this hard, that "bad boy" has to be a punk goth whatever the fuck and beta bucks a generic hipster speaks volumes.

She finds you attractive = she feels you have choices. Having choices means the power to pick someone better whenever. You can only display generosity from a place of abundance. Throwing compliments when you're perceived as ugly is like donating to the poor when you can't even afford your own meals.

Her future husband doesn't have to know, and even if she ever discloses that info she'll say that "she was just in her primes and horny, now is different" all the while he accepts the truth that she threw her prime time away getting double-drilled by chads and now he has to beg for starfishing once a month, while …

Also both want to fit in and be accepted. God yes. In social situations they value "fitting in" over letting you know how things are. The socially awkward beta who can't approach for shit is unaware of social contracts, but he's probably more honest with why he's beating his dick with hot girls. He won't mince his words.

I started reading the book you suggested, and at one point he says: One day you may catch yourself smiling at the voice in your head, as you would smile at the antics of a child. This means that you no longer take the content of your mind all that seriously, as your sense of self does not depend on it. So basically, when your inner voice is judging you as an idiot it's the most equivalent thing to a shit test that your inner voice can give you.

Well that's depressing for guys in their 30's, don't you think? It is, as I'm 35 and I know that it's real. But you can tell "if I don't do things right now, I'm pretty much fucked for the next decade". He only added numbers to put the time frame from 20's to 30's into perspective. The "action" mindset was always coupled with masculinity. Your actions is what people judge you, even if it's something you said or wrote it becomes more than an internal thought the moment that you share it. I was at the same tier of inactivity as you, OP. That's the primary reason (being actually interested to learn). I find that it's simpler to learn if instead of being deliberate about my intentions of learning something I instead focus on being interested in what I'm reading. No matter how many scientifically proven learning methods you can pull off, you'll feel like you're trying to convince a mule to move where you want it to go. Even the historical figures that I recall dedicating their lives into pursuing their field of interest so hard it pushed their levels of attraction with the opposite sex in the negative digits weren't deliberately MGTOW. As in, they didn't woke up one day and said "who cares about women when I have philosophy/science to work for?". Nietzsche comes to mind, who couldn't approach for shit and ended up being a habitual masturbator to get his sex drive satisfied.

I'd argue that the person who vomits up everything that happened in the last week also tries to qualify himself, he just has the false impression that by talking about all the impressive stuff he did he's winning her. I agree with the point that you shouldn't try to impress, but you should at least have a plan when you approach instead of "that's just me making shit up as the date goes and if it happens, it happens". William Golding, in one of my favorite essays called "thinking as a hobby" categorizes thinking in 3 stages: Grade-three thinking is the lowest form and is really hardly thinking at all. Grade-three thinking is reliance on emotion and prejudice. Grade-two thinking, Golding says, is the detection of contradictions. One step up from grade-three thinking, it allows the wielder to find logical inconsistencies in political systems and religions. Grade-two thinking allows for the detection of hypocris…

I once tried to chat up a girl "friend" and she complained about me talking too much with nonsensical small talk. 5 minutes later she was hugging someone and they were talking about some of the most nonsensical stuff. I don't even have to tell you that he was full of alpha male traits by now. It's not just getting sexual. A woman feels blessed for being in the presence of an attractive alpha male. He is the prize. That's the alpha pass.

It's retarded but completely true. When you're socially starved you run in the risk of acting as a needy loser in both when you make friends or flirting, and the one who fakes abundance wins. This is what we call "abundance mentality", looking at the world as if it's your oyster.

I was watching 21 jump street the movie today. At the end of the movie, Jonah Hill kisses his crush as the movie climaxes. Music plays, it's happily ever after and it's a HUGE deal. I'm a huge fan of Peterson. When he analyzes historical and mythical stories to get to their intentions he doesn't mince his words in the classroom (a fellow TRPer posted this a while back), but his attitude to treating depression is the most realistic and well grounded one, and I will try to explain it. It's universally agreed that when things go as we planned there's "Order" in our life, and when things don't go like we planned there's "Chaos". A married guy who catches his wife fucking the pl…

My bully was THE chad social animal of the school who actually had very good overall grades, and girls admitted openly they had a crush on him. And that was when we were 10-12 years old, for fuck's sake. People in the comments miss the point by a landslide by attacking your friends. The takeaway is to not just be extra careful of who you're bringing with you on the ride - there's nothing wrong with asking for support or/and accountability. But any of their remarks can either make or break your friendship. What if they get jealous? Or what if they don't get jealous, be 100% supportive and you somehow receive it as sufficient validation? I wrote a post about ego-protection here a few days ago and was sad that people went on the offense because I called it straight "ego" and not "ego-protection". The ego-protection strategy blocks overall personal growth by rationalizing or by avoiding to tackle something that validates how incompetent you are at X. They want the system to change so that they get all of the benefits. All of these people on facebook and other social justice warrior outlets who whine about white privilege secretly want to be white themselves. I always thought that this is so self-evident. Women don't realy believe in their own agency. That's why they often believe in cosmic forces like fate and patriarchy, because nothing they ever do is their fault. Or horoscopes. But then in my culture it's more prevalent and I don't know how it is for the rest of the world.

Yes! I'm going through the daily stoic and I like it, although oldschool stoics hate that he reduced it to the practical and pragmatic steps to be one. But Ryan's motivation to write this book was that everything so far felt too "academic" to be accessible and applicable to the average person, and stoicism is a philosophy of how to live your life. He makes the distinction of learning how to apply philosophy vs. learning how historical figures applied it, and focuses on replicating those chunks. …

I wrote a post about Ego a few days ago and people attacked the definition by misinterpreting what I meant to say with what they thought I mean. Everyone cares about nothing more than himself and getting his ideas and beliefs validated. Even if he has an advice to give that is "good for you" chances are that the moment that piece of advice turns up to work he just validated that he's right. I'm not saying that in a bad way. There's also another distinction. Before, I would take every person's opinion who was seemed as highly regarded person in general or just admirable as a fact that I ought to follow. The difference is that they too can be wrong. Their opinions hold higher value compared to other, uninformed opinions, but that doesn't mean that they are applicable for me. To put it differently, I began living in a non-democratic way. I don't hold "polls" on what to eat for dinner. Why was I doing it for more impor…

You'll often find that your inner self is trying to bullshit you into thinking you're indefinitely incapable of doing something by making subconscious unfair and uneven comparisons. The idea is to find a balance somewhere along the middle No. The idea is to find what works for your life. Unless you're breaking the law or harming some 3rd party, you're not obligated to find a "perfect middle" assigned via democratic vote to anything in your life. Arguments to moderation can be wrong. Example: So you are saying a is worth $20k. I think it is worth $1, so let’s just compromise and say it is worth $10k. (Assuming the car is worth $20k) At least you could say this leads to negot…

TRP does say they want women to have no career ambitions so there is that. I mean, that's kind of true as I can't imagine that a man who wants a girl for her career choices or social status represents the majority of men. Most of men are happy if a woman is hot and has things and opinions to share, regardless of whether they are career-related or not. Not that it's a bad thing to aim high but the whole 'being alpha' isn't some mystical quest where you learn the secrets of the universe. Some activities aren't inherently bad, as long as they don't drive you to use them to hide yourself away from priorities and burdens. Adding my 2 cents here. I was watching the lectures of a psychology professor around personality and its transformations. In one point he mentions that throughout our lifetimes we go through bounds of bad things and good things, essentially called "chaos" and "order". Women were never on our side. It just so happened that our self-interests coincided. Relationships are transactional. The person that you call a good friend may or may not call you the same, depending on how he perceives you - as a dead weight or as someone he can rely on for certain things - and the same is true with every human being: bosses, coworkers, family members etc. The point is, women needed a captain on the ship called "household" and you wanted a good "first mate" who can take care o…

And in a very personal level, I'm angry that my upbringing (6-16 years old) resulted in me acquiring the most time-wasting habits I can possibly have, because my father was the biggest b…

Recommend Youtube: The Philosophy of Rick and Morty I have to disagree with Rick and Morty's viewpoint on existentialism and Nihilism. Especially the latter, where everyone interprets Nietzsche as if he was pushing Nihilism as the end of all. Nihilism was the means towards a better end. Like grabbing a rubber and erasing everything that sucks. Rick and Morty is based on a half-assed high-schooler's understanding of what existentialism and nihilism are. Think about what that means - in a room with 100 people, you are objectively better than 80 of them. You reminded me of an observation I made years ago, when I contemplated on why average-to-cute girls hang out with literal trash girls. It takes balls to dare being the "worse" in the room, because there it's either letting your self-esteem realize how shit you are or swim and see t…

Your passion is going to be "something interesting" for at least a year. People believe that when they bump on some activity that is "meant for them" a thunderbolt will struck them from the sky as if they fell in love on first sight. That's not how anything other than a literal thunderbolt works. Falling in love with what you do takes time and dedication on doing something interesting, that makes you feel like you're growing in competence and that you're contributing in some way.

It's crazy how the ones who grew up being told that they are special snowflakes and that they can achieve so much more are the ones that they get overwhelmed and end up failing because they struggle with two things instead of one - the natural difficulty of tackling a new task AND their deeply ingrained belief that they shouldn't.

Success the kind of "making the next Twitter" does. Success in starting a business, or building a career doesn't. This whole chain of argument built themselves up a strawman, as if you need to be Tarantino tier of success to see an improvement in your SMV. The reason TRP is hated is because it's not self-censoring its own content to fit with a political correct narrative, and not because it's wrong. I want to add my 2 cents on the matter. When the ancient Greeks talked about "not giving in to your passions and be self-disciplined" we tend to think that they couldn't possibly talk about a passion that makes us richer, as a way to "modernize" the overall message. But that's not what they meant.
