I started taking singing lessons. Maybe doesn't seem so manly at first but women love a front man. Plus it's something I love so fuck everything else. Also I brew beer. It's nice because it allows you to become a hub in social situations. (If the beer is good) When she sees me being the center of attention to a large group of people, being praised, I'd assume that increases my SMV.

Intermittent fasting helps with insulin sensitivity. I think that's one of the big things about the leangains program that helps people without them even realizing it. I stopped counting calories, starting making good food choices and the pounds are coming off without a noticeable decrease in lean mass. Then again I also started with 33% body fat so it's easier for me at this stage. Regardless, to the point of your post, the calories in vs calories out argument is definitely an unnecessary simpl…

Willpower by Roy Baumeister. Not sidebar material but it really should be. It's all about self control and increasing yours, recognizing limitations, etc.

No. I haven't read anything about that yet. Working through WISNIFG at the moment. I'll search for it on the subs. Thank you.

I agree with that but if you find the right group/person it can really push you to another level. My best friend is a green beret and when I work out with him I have workouts of a quality I can't seem to reproduce by myself.

Trial and error? If I was younger and wanted to start a family, I'd treat the process like a sales pipeline. I think the thing that makes people compatible is disliking the same things. I'd actively look for women who disliked the same things as me and once I found several of them, eliminate the ones who failed to live up to my expectations. If it takes years to find one that matches what you want then so be it. You're looking for a life partner so it's not something you should rush. As far as w…

If they really geared up and didn't get gains then they must work out like this guy reads books.

This post and response. I learned as much from this as I have from some of the wiki posts. It would almost be worth it to have exchanges like this on the wiki as examples of real life fails and how to apply the knowledge. For us newbies anyway.

Thank you for the well thought out reply. I have a lot of work to do.

I didn't get this when I first read it. Now I do and it's really insightful. It's probably helped me understand why I am where I am more than anything I've read so far. Thanks. Your posts are always helpful.

Thanks. I'll read it. I was trying to go in the order suggested but everyone's journey is different.

The ironic part about my situation is that outside of my marriage women generally see me as dominant and despite the fact that I'm not very physically attractive, I know I could get women. I am comfortable talking to anyone and I've always been the witty, funny guy. Not to say that I can't improve in several different ways. About five years ago I went into the military. During basic training I got a hernia. I went in and they did an ultrasound and they found a testicular tumor (benign). I was au…

"No going around proclaiming that you are in a journey. No proclaiming that you are gonna improve." Is that a common thing? Honestly, almost did that this morning during a shit test. Good reply. Thanks for that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
