follow up question: do you go out on weekends exclusively or during the week as well? I somewhat gauged that this is most likely a game plan for Friday and Saturday nights. Do you have any thoughts or advice on weekdays?

Pretty sure California in general is not that bad, places like LA, SD are definitely good. It's just bay area with all the (male) tech workers that's making it hard.

Abundance mentality is key. aka "sure i wanna hit that, but it's not much different from this other one, or the other one, or..", not "she's the prettiest i gotta hit that", which is what I kinda get from your post. But do try by all means, not saying you shouldn't. Which exact method you use or which exact outcome you get with one particular girl is secondary.

I'd say how the reaction is largely depend on the girl since it's high school. There's no right answer given the limited information here. But you gotta snap out of this "I must have her" mentality. Care a bit less. So what if you overplayed you hand, talked to and got on with other hot chick and this one goes mental? Bullet dodged and lesson learned, and you still have the other hot chick and plenty others in the school. You're still very young so do what you want instead of just taking advice …
