Thought I was going in right direction, informed of the opposite.Oh don't get me wrong, if it's a decision that only affects me and has nothing to do with him, I make the decision. He has nothing to do with it, there isn't even a discussion. He doesn't make 100% of the decisions for the household, but with bigger things like money, housing, vehicles, large purchases, vacations, that sort of thing, I'm letting myself step back from those because before I ruled the entire roost. | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/09/16 06:14 PM
Thought I was going in right direction, informed of the opposite. As I reply to these, I'm trying to understand things more from his point of view. Likely the scenario is, before I would interject my opinions, ideas, shoot his down, or have big long discussions about other things, then finally settle on his. Perhaps after years of me doing this he's got it set in his head that the minute I open my mouth it's going to be a snarky reply. Maybe I just need to let the "new' me settle in longer. | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/09/16 06:12 PM
Thought I was going in right direction, informed of the opposite.Sorry, that was a bad choice of words. Like I explained to another poster; He views other suggestions or options as challenges to his own, and as if I don't trust him to make the right decision. Maybe I need a better way of explaining my thoughts to him? | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/09/16 05:38 PM
Thought I was going in right direction, informed of the opposite. In all honesty, yes. I do agree with him most of time. In the past, I would have wanted to hash out all other options to truly make sure what he said was true/correct/the best option. It tired him and he has told me many times before that he hates it when I do that. I would like to say that maybe "parroted" was a bad choice of words and paints him in a very bad light. I don't want to bad mouth him on here. He views other suggestions or options as challenges to his own, and as if I don't trust hi… | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/09/16 05:37 PM
Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 03/14/2016It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but I have been reading everything! The good: My sex drive has come back full swing since having my baby. Before it was non existent, I was having trouble getting myself "in the mood" and I'm not a great "faker". As bad as that sounds, it's the truth. I've downloaded an awesome workout app that gives you random workouts that are really easy to do in your own home. Butt, legs, arms, pilates, cardio, stretches, core, abs, and full body. I've start… | /r/RedPillWomen | 16/03/16 07:54 PM
Time to share: what have you improved since joining RPW?I'm late to the party here but I'll share regardless. I joined RPW a month or two ago. I've posted I think 2-3 times? Since that time I've been actively trying to manage my behaviour. I've already posted what I needed to change in one of my previous posts, so I won't get into that. What I've actually done so far is pretty much keep my mouth shut. Ive been married for ~4 years, and for those first few years I found it difficult to trust my husband with large household tasks, like hooking up a gas… | /r/RedPillWomen | 09/02/16 11:08 PM
Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 04/01/2016This past Christmas break and New Years has probably been the least eventful time of mine and my husbands relationship, and that's a good thing. Despite the fact that we have a baby, are buying a house, and are leaving on vacation tomorrow, nothing has happened. We haven't fought, I haven't raised my voice, I haven't shown any anger, I've done everything he's asked of me without question, and no issues have arisen. I would like to add that I have no problem doing any of this now, and I'm not loo… | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/01/16 06:36 PM
Year Reflection Thread: 28/12/2015Hello all! This is the beginning of my journey here! I've already made an introduction post. That describes a bit about my predicament and why I'm here. This coming 2016 I'm aiming to completely change my attitude. Both in regards to my marriage and life in general. I can be a negative nancy and want to change that completely. We've bought a new house and will be moving in at the beginning of 2016. I want to take this new opportunity to transform myself into the perfect wife, and perfect version… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/12/15 02:41 AM
My intro, story of how I desperately need this community and life changeHe would likely think I'm trying to start an argument or fish for compliments, and shut the conversation down immediately. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/12/15 12:04 AM
My intro, story of how I desperately need this community and life changeHonestly, I can't say for sure. I don't know if I had some redeeming qualities that made him want to stick around. Maybe he knew I'd finally "change" in the end. I don't mean to sound like a brat when I say this, but my family is fairly well off. We've received a lot of help from my family in terms of life goals and the like (not that we were ever desperate, but it has made life particularly easy). I don't know if maybe he didn't want to give that up, and was willing to wait a little longer than… | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/12/15 11:46 PM
My intro, story of how I desperately need this community and life changeTotally agree! It's exhausting trying to maintain control of other people. It's entirely not worth it. I'm rather enjoying myself in just letting the world turn around me (not around me, but turn in general). | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/12/15 07:05 PM
My intro, story of how I desperately need this community and life changeI can't wait to see what the new year brings with these new changes. It's so exciting! | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/12/15 07:02 PM

My intro, story of how I desperately need this community and life changeCompletely agree. I was making bandaid changes from time to time, but never really addressing the issue. I think right now, I'm being as critical of my own behaviour to the extent I was of my husband at the beginning of our relationship. So I guess in a way, I'm just as critical... but it's directed towards myself now! | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/12/15 07:01 PM

Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 14/12/15Another newbie here. I discovered this sub a while ago, and lurked around quite a bit. I'll be honest, I was pissed off at almost everything I read here. However as the days went by I found myself coming back here all the time to read new posts. Over time it started to sink in. Today I decided to jump in. The good: I've accepted this sub and the philosophies it preaches. For a while I was against it, and angry at it. But I've thought about it for many months now. This is what I want. I also know… | /r/RedPillWomen | 15/12/15 04:55 PM
