Because it does work, generally. People just don't like having their subjectivity challenged at this level. Hits them in the feelz. And most are virtue signalling sheep who never actually read any of it. Course, it doesn't help that it tends to descend into actual misogyny and bigotry. Not to mention all the narcissistic rage and projection that goes along with it. Gives them ammo.

Both sides are basically moronic reactionaries. BP is naive stupidity, RP is for narcissistic, easily manipulable, socially autistic people. BP is wrong but RP is misguided and probably dangerous. The problem is people. 99% are idiots.

Know your enemy, so you can debunk them on their merits as opposed to making straw-mans of them? If you want to avoid embarrassing yourself as you are now, that is (otherwise, don't bother, good for you I guess). Hell, most "feminists" I've met have never actually read any feminist theory, so there's that.

TRP is conclusions drawn from observation and experience. Nothing more nothing less. Your experiences are the sum-total of your senses, observations, and your psyche. They can still give you a skewered worldview. Otherwise, I agree, there are "no angels" in the world. But AWALT isn't the same as "women are just people" -- AWALT implies all women especially not angels (devaluation), as opposed to "women are just basically human." At least that's how your critics are reading it, and not without ba…
