Take control of the calendar - look to plan stuff as much as you can and not get overwhelmed by events. Get any help you can with kids. Can you get a high schooler to watch them/ play with them for a couple of hours so you guys get a break? Put things in perspective: you probably have it better than 90% of the worlds population in terms of resources and opportunity. Remember it's all temporary. "Things will be good in the end. If things are not good, it's not the end yet." Seriously though, it's…

Also this tells me she has strong fantasies of being ravished and taken and fucked hard. Great job you landed yourself a woman who is not afraid of being dominated. It's a signal that you can escalate and go full on BDSM on her - start lightly but I bet she'll be into bondage and some serious domination on a strong man's part. So you go be that man. And research the Dom /sub dynamics so you know what you're doing.

Shit test. Annoying kind but still a a shit test. "Lead, and fuck her brains out when you get home" this is golden. I'd expand to "Lead, work hard at what's important to me in life and fuck her brains out when you get home - she is my distraction and my entertainment"

That's golden: "if you can't handle your own bullshit, you sure as shit won't be able to handle your own bullshit + your wife's bullshit + your child's bullshit." And it speaks to 'you better be a solid man by time you decide to have kids' and also speaks to difficulty many of us face when we marry and have kids in BP state, then years later find our balls /RP awaken and now have a massive uphill battle to establish ourselves not just on our own two feet but within a family created by a prior se…

Depends how emotive your wife is to begin with. A good rule of thumb is to be less than her (but not a complete robot/ stone cold) and open to hearing her talk about her feels (but without becoming her emotional tampon and take too much of your time listening to her problems). My preferred MO is to listen as empathetically as I can (not easy for me) and after a certain point start not taking her seriously. Sometimes she emotes then wants the maturity only an oak can display.

Remember she's playing a game too. And acting quickly to take her back would give her an easy win now that her chad left. Redpotatowedge had good points. I get that you are tempted to reconcile and get back together possibly mostly for practical treason. If you do now is your chance to have the relationship on terms you want - so I'd look to extract as much as possible and go in (1) taking my time ; (2) eyes wide open that's it's strictly a convenient arrangement than anything else. (3) with out…

This is actually a good post and you got great advice on it already from the guys. It's a subtle thing and having been at it for almost a year now I can tell you true OI is where it's at. You should be in that James Bond state where a denial or lack of interest does not phase you in the least and you casually smile and still act like you love and care for her. Whether you get an orgasm or not you don't care. Whether you get to fuck or not you don't care. Your whole approach is one sparked by you…

Best definition of AWALT I found on TRP is by analogy to AGAL - all guns are loaded. Basically if you see a gun, always assume it's loaded. It's basic precautionary measure. Of course some guns will be empty, some will be fake, some faulty, some etc you get the idea. And the "T" is what's specific to women: they're likely to be emotional, hypergamous creatures.

Pull her aside one on one later. Calmly tell her it's not cool, it's disrespectful and teaches bad behavior to kids. End of story.

So what did you say or do to her in front of the kids that she took offense to? Sometimes my wife does shit I don't agree with and I have to correct her right away. For example she acts like she's the mother of all of us and would correct me on something I say to kids. I nip that in the bud right away or right after when in private as it obviously undermines my authority and it's poor parenting.

Yeah good points. Went to the museum with kiddos a few days ago and on way back to car I carried both kids on me one on shoulders one in arms, then ran around - had a blast and I could tell she liked seeing that. Plus I frequently do push ups and squats with them on me for fun and I can tell she's been noticing... As far as the notebook it's amazing the beta shit goblin I've had for months "wait till she sees this record of my workouts" and how I've had to shut it up every time...

Hey man the signs are there and deep down you know it. Marrying her with rose colored glasses will bite you in the ass later big time. She does not sound like marriage material and you sound like you know it but somehow refuse to cut the cord. Or at least cut fueling your own fantasy that someone a permanent gal like her would be good to your life.

Has she considered individual therapy and counseling to deal with with these issues? Sounds like learning to control emotions like an adult and behavior, anger etc and doing that constructively with a view toward loved ones (I.e. kids) has been a challenge.

Agree with the others that pregnant sex tends to suck the farther along she gets. Pains, aches, "just get it over with" all kinds of shit. But be careful that if you give in to the shit she will get used to keeping you at bay and having sex on her terms -only. A correction not made is a new standard set. So the more you accept lame excuses, over time the harder it will be to regain frame and get her to know deep inside that her sexual availability should always be on.

It's like wack a mole. Been focusing on lifting and gaining strength, hitting gym 3,4 5 times a week. But dropped ball on money mgmt. My life is constant reminder that my wife needs to be kept in check and fucked proper, and to do that I must rise to my own challenge of being self disciplined, in permanent ego killing mode and putting in the hard work. Coasting just ain't cutting it.

I am sitting in yet another airplane at 6:50 am, about to take off for another business trip, flying back home tonight. Slept for max 5 hours. Went to bed late last night after online chatting with this new contest I made (this one a married, legit plate I met through work, not some random hookup off the internet - so there's my progress right there...) - basically fingered herself to orgasm and I jerked off after our erotic chat which escalated throughout the day. As a guy who also found TRP ~10 mo ago, and implemented with some success on home front, and also with deep desire to act on newfound knowledge to game and bang other women: I can opine. Have you considered Alcoholics Anonymous. And I know what your reaction is: "no, wait i am not an alcoholic, I don't drink that much". Tell you what: let's pretend you're not. Lots of shit last week and overcame eventually a rough patch: my adventures on a hookup/ sugar daddy website ended abruptly as I closed my account. This one woman I ended up in a hotel with was becoming a bit too interested and my alarm bells went off. Basically texting me very descriptive and dirty shit right on my cell phone. Here's my $0.02 for you. Decide what you want. If what you want does not include her, make a plan to exit and cut losses. Said plan would involve maximum autonomy and independence on your part. Don't fear the future and what the new better you is capable of. Old relationships like this that you started when you were way way greener are like a coat that just doesn't fit you anymore plus is out of style. So go eyes wide open and when you do decide to rip the band aid or more like cut the cord, you must do so with a swift, determined move. Good luck.

A good friend of mine works in a hospital and told me nurses are getting back pain and severe back issues from having to move and carry fat people from one stretcher to the next, normal hospital bed maneuvering in and out of etc. These mother fucking obeasts are literally making it next to impossible for normal, decent healthcare workers to help them plus they're destroying those very healthcare workers' own health in the process.

Can you do simple things like "no alcohol Tuesdays" or something like that. Some personal, small challenge that you can then build on and gradually expand. I guarantee you when you do get to drink say 1-2 / week more heavily and socialize etc you will enjoy it much more than the daily pint.

Solid post. Having consulted with several attorneys in past year I can say this is a strong strategy and good advice. IMO consulting with an attorney is part of dread and really building your independent frame, OI and being ready to walk away. Yes shit tests galore and not the cute flirtatious kind. My current problems stem from a few issues: The whole marriage started 7 yrs ago with me giving up my frame. Don't sweat it. 1. The very act of planning even a day out by yourself weeks in advance and putting that on the family calendar (I just had one with my dog on Sunday it was awesome) is a power move that will help you overly and subconsciously - to put yourself back in the seat. When the time comes not only you will have a good time on your fucking own but also it will stand as a reminder for you and everyone else that daddy is the shit - with no small little powe struggle affecting him. 2. Correct. Nothing has happened that you need to acknowledge to her (as far as I understand the incident). You've learned your lesson or are in the process of internalizing it. So shrug it off and focus on what's learned and what to avoid next time (way) before you reach that power struggle point.

Well my advice would be to slow down. Go for a hike. Go spend a weekend on your own somewhere. Plan it in advance. Get some distance and time by yourself if you need to. Let the fog clear a bit. And then a path will seem more natural - like magic. I've been at it for 10 months and I am still finding myself in similar power struggles it's nuts. And tiring. Whoa if you don't have kids why keep her around? I'd cut the cord now with a swift move. You clearly are beginning to wake up and as you do you want to build a different, better future for yourself than the one you envisioned say a year ago. Is this person part of that future? Sounds to me more like baggage and deadweight you are better off without in your new journey. She is part of you making decisions with a poor understanding of the world. Blue-pill you chose her, not the current you.

Well it depends where you look. Remember 80-90% of men are needy loser dadbots who indeed are not worth a good woman's time. So based on that I'd agree that the younger pool is richer with folks that have good physical attributes if that's what you're looking for. But if you look for someone with something between his ears and who knows how to handle women - I'd say pool of men in their thirties gives you better odds.

Hmmm not so sure. A woman is in her prime in her twenties and if she takes care of herself in her thirties. As we know a man is made not born and for most it takes a solid amount of time to ripen and mature into a man who knows how to handle himself and with a woman.

Long story here - check my old posts. My wife of course doesn't know any of this. Good reminder. Unfortunately much of this common sense for many frustrated folks amongst us comes through time and the painful and most expensive teacher: experience. i.e. Applying RP stuff for months and months in your own marriage and finding the optimal, personal path. Hence the value of this sub: we learn hopefully from others' mistakes not just from our own. To use a cliche quote: "A smart person learns from his mistakes, a wise one from those of other people."

Both options A and B are suboptimal. At least she is trying! So she'd get an E for effort. Option A is way too serious and negotiating desire. Option B is not genuine. I'd go with Option C: tease her about the need to improve and playfully give her feedback about how she should do better. Do it in the moment and do not stop the BJ. Ultimately being on the receiving end of a BJ is highly dominant and Op should enjoy that to the fullest to strengthen his frame. So what if it takes him 30 min since…

This is solid. A better way would have been to stop her, cuddle with her, play with her hair, make her feeeeel some intimacy and affection in your dominant frame, all while you're smiling and happy as can be. Not so focused on getting off. But the problem is (and I am there all the time too) you're so damn hungry and horny and just need to fuck and hard and want porn star readiness and type action. Anything less is annoying. So work on that. And being (or genuinely seeming) less hungry. True OI …

Yeah and going back to an old well or to reignite an old flame screams of beta. She moved on (esp. since it sounds like she's hotter now) and sees OP with differed eyes. Any feeling, I want you puke is going to be treated accordingly. I think what Mark Manson was saying is be vulnerable / show your intentions by hitting aggressively and charmingly on a woman. That will reduce chances you get friend zoned. So again the point is you have to do it in a charming, confident James Bond like manner, no…

There's a good post on the main TRP sub today about a dude (his FR) taking over this chick and her classic "I'm not having sex with you tonight" shit test - some good material on game and overcoming simple objections. Of course different for us married folks, but it was a healthy reminder.

I can tell you how bad I needed the military as a 20-something who was partying like crazy on my parents' bankroll. At one point I went to my dad crying saying shit like "dad stop giving me money", and "help me with your connections find a job, I badly need a job". Eventually I stopped drugs etc and pulled myself together (used parents money for education and to move away) - but in hindsight I realized what I badly needed was discipline and a place to release energy and build my masculinity for …

Excellent post. I can't help visualizing some men out there trying to hold their wives to their vows "but you said this that and the other" blah blah. How beta would that be? Plus getting ready to meet with a plate in a couple of weeks in another city where I will go for work. That should definitely be fun since I had a blast with her a few weeks back at a conference. Ah the naïveté of a 20-yr old "man". More like a good boy actually. But you're sensing something here hence your post and your questions at the end. Thanks stonepimple appreciate your encouragement. Just gave her the news that I made up my mind on not moving and she is pissed as hell. The usual. I just smile now and don't engage her into arguments (which she badly wants). Classic - I learned a ton in the last year. Problem is I have a nasty legacy of 6+ years of supplicating beta patterns that she's got used to so she views much of much of what I do through that lense. But I am OI - don't really care. Do you have any kids? That would obviously be a game changer. I think you may be overthinking it. Why is a decision needed now? To leave her or not? Also especially if you're under stress or tired: don't make any life changing decisions. Now: what's wrong with keeping her around and viewing her as a plate. Good point to bring up. The things you mention are exaggerations and very broad characterizations. The key in RP is understanding he complementarity of the sexes not to say that women are worthless beyond having babies. It also emphasizes that women's natural strength is to be submissive, attractive, caring, nurturing, elegant…

Refugees are mostly young men of fighting age. They should be trained for a good 3-6 months, given weapons and sent back to fight over their own fucking countries. Strengthen your frame bro. That's your number one priority. When she tells you something that's good, gives you good advice, or notices something you haven't, you should be able to assertively and thoughtfully thank her for her role as FO. The fact that you "deep inside know she's right" but are somehow quiet about it, concerns me that you're getting validation from her and are not a strong captain (yet).

It would. Of course they've been trying to manipulate men. By from there it doesn't necessarily mean that religion was an enabler for them to do so. If anything I'd argue the opposite. Men are and have been much more likely to use religion to manipulate women. This post is case in point! Not to mention Muslim religion (highly insecure men?) which can't stand looking at women without forcing them to wear fucking masks and dress all in black, not show any skin.
/r/MarriedRedPill18/11/15 05:50 PM

I am half way into it now actually. But I do not agree with author's argument that women were driver of religion as an enablement and means to manipulate men. Let's face it it was the men that did it (enforce religion and proselytizing etc) over centuries and women were a tool and means to that end. I get how from Esther's standpoint she can see how religion actually now helps women as it keeps men "righteous" and dedicated to being a loyal, serving provider. Doesn't matter if you're getting it elsewhere. You put in the work to be a high quality man. You deserve and want high quality experiences. Thus you want good sex. You have a woman by your side, your wife, therefore you're going to want and expect great sex. Curious why would someone who is having sex with women other than wife be one "who doesn't already possess a heavy moral framework"? Probably in that same convo where she suggested marriage counseling etc. read my old posts from months ago if you're interested. Bottom line: it's shit test and an attempt to manipulate you/ cause you to doubt yourself. Who. Fucking. Cares. What other people think etc. and who cares of her opinion anyway. I am in similar place... but found that my wife relaxes her limits considerably after a few drinks. So I am now much more aware and deliberate with situations like that, to drink less than her, and then have a plan for when she's in a state like that to gradually bring down her limits and do stuff she'd not normally do.

It's not about the trash. She's attempting to control you and be your mommy. Do your reading.. If you don't have a witty reply stfu. Don't engage and defend yourself - you'd be just burying in a bigger hole. And yes, take out the trash - you don't need your wife to remind you. But if she does - respectfully - thank her for it. She's the first officer in your life and it's part of her role to assist your leadership.

Alphabeta49 and Sepean had strong advice here. In addition to that: I'd say definitely meet with an attorney. See and explore what that path would be like. It's not pretty but you're a cold rational male so you need to know what you're playing with. I advocate knowing, not keeping head in sand. Divorce and life afterwards are HUGE and it would be foolish not to explore and depict &plan that life in as much detail as you can so you can then decide what you want. I used to be on tinder too. Tough one. You have to be 48 laws of power in this situation. 100% professional in ALL interactions and go for that raise too as others have said. Choose to ignore beta bitch hubby and not engage directly: that's how you lose. If you're so good at your job 1. See if you can become a paid consultant for them where you have more flexibility; 2. Can you start your own business?; 3. Can you go to the competition? 4. Keep long term goals in mind, not just this one bonus. And always be ready to fight …

It just sounded to me like you can't control yourself. You have to learn some basic detachment techniques and you can do that through basic meditation for example. You should be able to experience your arousal and how you'd want nothing more than to bang this Candy chick on a luxurious vacation since she was meant for you and is just perfect for your body. Then the next second you should also analyze and realize how ridiculous that is and that you know better than lose your head at work over som…

I echo this. Good post. I have done things like have her wear fishnet stockings and/or high heel shoes. Basically have a plan ahead of time, or some props kinky light stuff that I then ask her to wear/do. Awkward at times if she's not fully turned on, and given I am getting my dominant nature game back on after years of absence. But totally worth it: 1. When she's turned on makes for very hot sex and 2. Subliminally she wants it /needs it (as we know, thank you Red Pill) and goes on hamstering l…

A board game, sexy pajamas, a bracelet (much much cheaper than what I got her used to in prior BP years) and a book. Then I like the headlamp idea and of course skittles for her stocking. Maybe a bottle of perfume too since I want her smelling good and she hasn't updated her perfumes in a while. See my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/marriedredpill/comments/3ogcn1/botched_main_event_recovery_one_step_back_two/ Basically it's negotiating desire: unsexy and leads to duty sex mainly. I don't regret it - but it's not solved the bigger problems.

" she knows I'm not going fuck other women? We're both very much against cheating." Well that's your problem right there that you have to change. That's the definition of dread: She has to dread losing you. Providing answers is a submissive state. Go back to 48 laws of power and getting an understanding of power dynamics. You want to be the one with the questions, not the answers. Your "answers" are demonstrated through actions, never explicated. Sure, occasionally you may illuminate her/others with your words of wisdom, but for the most part don't volunteer answers to other people's questions. Not really interested in her reaction although it is interesting to me that she hasn't noticed after all his time. I took it off because of 1. lifting, 2. wanting to practice PUA while traveling on business, and 3. overall just having difficulty on the inside with advertising to world that I am married when I know I don't feel same level of commitment that I once did. What's the point of a wedding ring for a man? Why do I need a reminder? Why does anyone.

Also I disagree with telling stories about work to entertain your wife. That's just wrong. You have to show her (take her to work/ family events where she can see how people look up to you and you being socially dominant) not talk her ear off about your accomplishments or this deal or the other.

Yes it was but you have to move on bro. Can't change the past can you. Look at the upside of having done it and rewrite (elements of) history in your head so that you frame that narrative in a way that does not affect you in the present. What's done is done etc.

Great question. First and foremost maintaining my stance. The stakes are clearly higher now and she is trying all kinds of tricks and tantrums to get me to fall in old line. So key is for me to not succumb and "talk" and keep the dread as well as raisimg SMV trend.

I was not. I stopped wearing it 4+ months ago. And my wife hasn't even noticed - talk about being taken for granted and being friend zoned ...I have been waiting for that moment when she asks me and have all kinds of answers ready. Truth is I started taking it off and then misplacing it when at the gym. Weights and w bands just don't belong together. Then I thought more deeply of it and saw no good reason to advertise to the world that I am married.

Yes, ignore, smile to yourself, don't take her seriously. You have more important things to do. Never qualify yourself for her. Tease her and make fun of her childish nature. You're on a path dude. She's welcome to join you and match your greatness. You don't have to work for it for her. You do it for yourself and then when she's in your orbit you'll marvel at her charm and get entertained by her. Be the king dude be the king.

How about pursuing your interests first and foremost? Through that, indirectly, you may meet some cool dudes to hang out with and socialize over time. I think it's similar to how you want your wife to have more sex with you. You can't focus on it, it has to be an indirect side effect of you self improving. (Like that other great post from today). Same thing with guy friends: you can't focus on finding them. You must focus on some cool shit YOU want to DO, and then through that you may meet some …

It also depends on where you were prior to birth. If you had a strong frame and got her to do the things you want with regularity and to follow your lead to the bedroom as often as you needed/wanted to (say 3-4x /week or more) - then you may have a better shot at getting some level of sex during early nursing period. If on the other had you just unplugged while she was puking still in her 2nd trimester, and had been a drunk captain for many years, sex was at a low quality trickle (that's me ...)…

I think you have to reach very deep to see where the positive attitude comes from. You can't just talk yourself into it. Do you want kids in your life? If yes, draft and execute exit plan ASAP. Get yourself an energetic, mom material, 10 yrs younger gal who's hot for you. If you don't have kids consider staying, and as part of that consideration (other than obvious self improvement etc) also see yourself in the future with this woman and see how that makes you feel. Excited? Happy? Fulfilled?

Yeah bringing up the iPhone with the internet to back you is a weak move. You don't have to prove anything , especially to women. This. Good point. Beginner here also and she called me out at least once with "it's not funny. You're not a funny guy." On a deep level that gets to me somewhat (of course I want to be and think I am funny, right?). So indeed you have to use AM when you truly own the situation, have complete and dominant frame and established yourself in you mind and all around you that you're the hot shit in this marriage. Your main problem is that the deck is stacked against your from start: you went back in time to a prior relationship and are tied to old ways of looking at the world despite new learned behaviors. Rollo T's quote on this topic comes to mind: "Never root through the trash once the garbage has been dragged to the curb. There is a difference between being a crusader or an empty talker/ teleprompt reader and a man of action who occasionally has to challenge spoken idiocy with his own words. I am not advocating getting on high horse and preaching to blue pill dummies. That will surely rub people the wrong way and come off as righteous, distancing and off putting. This quote from Rollo Tomassi comes to mind: "Women are dream killers. Not because they have an agenda to be so, but because men will all too willingly sacrifice their ambitions for a steady supply of pussy and the responsibilities that women attach to this." So I'd say go ahead: do the hard work and realize your higher dreams. Or settle down and live with the warm cozy comfort of mediocrity.

I think what may be an exaggeration and a projection of a potential blue pill scientist is that last quote "it's the alpha female who runs the show". Really? Can one say same thing about lions? Male lions fight, fuck, play and sleep. That's it. They do not hunt. The lionesses/ females do the hunting (in packs and in sequence, to tire out gazelles or whatever, who have much greater endurance). So based on this pattern of behavior, would one conclude that the "lionesses run the show"? I'd be hard …

Great job man. RP is a game of power. On power games always judge by looking at outcome, not necessarily intent and how you got there. If you have to be sweet and take a step back once in awhile, but end up having great sex with your woman - in my book you got what you wanted and you're a true alpha man. So, nice FR.

Here's the thing: RP is all about men being men and women being women. That means men being about driving, being dominant, focused, having goals, targets, accomplishing, overcoming obstacles, having and displaying strength etc. For women it's about being feminine, submissive, nurturing, caring, focused on relationships. That doesn't mean that men do everything and women are simple passive creatures who cannot improve their own lives. What OP has - as she stated it in other comments - is that she…

Something close to a Relationship 180 (look it up) or female version of dread should work. You have to step up, woman. Don't take a shitty life while hubby is coasting. Nice to be making all that $$, but if you're unsatisfied with your man/ life, you shouldn't put up with it.

Kids are tough and it takes a lot of time and the power of patience, kindness, firmness and example to establish yourself as the alpha with them. They are natural alpha sensors. And you have fucking society's (at least America if this is where you live) tendency to pedestalize and idolize kids and do things like stop mid sentence ALL adult conversations to cater to kiddos' interruptions. You have to gently lead your wife to stop that shit too.

Shit test. "Come here and see for yourself" then grab her and pound her/ have your way with her. Actions not words.

Voting, serving on a jury and serving in the US military. I met people who have been living in US for 30+ yrs, since kids etc. and were Americans by all appearances, customs, attitudes and beliefs, but never became citizens (more out of being lazy and lacking moral or practical incentive). So basically as a legal resident you get all benefits of Americans: bank account, social security, access to jobs, retirement, driver license - everything except vote, jury and military.

You marry a us citizen, you then get conditional green card for two years. Stay married for 2 yrs, clean record, apply to remove condition, you get green card for 10 yrs, no more condition. After that you can divorce if you want to and 3 more yrs you can apply for citizenship - after that you're screwed from tax standpoint if you ever go work/ live somewhere else. You'll pay Uncle Sam his share of your worldwide income.

Yeah I liked ending of OP's story way better than this lame Viking scene.

Regarding raising kids, yeah you have to be very careful and involved and not let education system raise (read: fuck up) your kids. Wide spectrum also depending on where you live, income demographics, metro area etc. Overall, road to college age is tough here and you have to either supplement with things like private tuition or all kinds of extra curricular activities, travel etc. to open their minds. or send them to very expensive private schools. Then I think US superiority kicks in at college…

Yeah I did something like this 7 yrs ago. Had mixed feelings at the time, saw a few yellow flags, no glaring red, got great career benefits and did it. Cooks well, cleans, good mother. Now we have kids, sometimes I kick myself (esp post swallowing RP), but can't turn back time and I've enjoyed again good career benefits and life in US where cost of living is lower than Europe, dollar goes a long way etc. Also I've talked to divorce attorneys and indeed, it's not the end of world if you part ways…

Wow. Fucking awesome dude. One thing that got me thinking from your post: "I lost all respect for the woman after she in front of her husband and several others loudly proclaimed that moms had important things to do so fathers had to man up and accept they weren't geting sex until the kids got older)" - well, can you really blame her? She's a woman. And I mean her hubby let it happen. She by the way sounds like kind of shit my wife would say/ think/ rationalize until a few months ago. Harpy, ent…

Haha nice story. You did great. Don't overthink it, overreact (don't react at all) to her attempts to phase you & bring you down to her level (you rightly identity her insecurity as the cause). That's the whole point with agree and amplify: show the ridiculousness of her words. Not only that, but it puts her to her place - any words coming out of her mouth that do not advance the mission or are not kind toward you will not be taken seriously - up to a point. Agree with /u/whinemoreplease: if she…

Yep same here. Cut cable yrs ago, just have netflix and bunny ears. You tell people you get local main stations like CBS and NBC in HD (for things like the Olympics) for free with old school antenna and they look at you in disbelief. Cable is a huge time and brain suck.

Well I guess it's my turn to defend the soundbite "realizing one's full potential" . Agreed it's oversimplified, subjective as heck and depends on each individual's own perception, assessment and standards. Some of which one doesn't even know until truly tested. Red pill means (among other things) awareness that men are not born but are created. "Poverty, oppression, difficulty, heartache, pain - these are the things that make men out of boys" - you (or OP) tell me if video games advance that ca…

Yeah nice little soundbite. But what "things" are we talking about? Saying "all things in moderation" too much is a path to mediocrity and accepting suboptimal outcomes and approaches. If I drink in moderation, take drugs in moderation, sleep late just a little bit every day, procrastinate a bit every day - guess what: I am misliving and not realizing my full potential.

Comparing yourself with the losers who play 6hrs a night is part of the problem. Comparing your current self with the best you can be at being You during the short time you have on this planet will make you realize there may be other thighs to do with your time. It's up to you. What do you want to be in 1 year? What if I told you you can speak fluent fucking Dutch or Cantonese? To get there you have to study and practice 2-3 hrs a day, a few days a week. Compare that with getting a rush from vid…

"A couple of hours in the evening to unwind" List all the options you have for this time. Decide to put video games at top and then go do it. As you do, think of all the things you're not doing and you could be from the list during those 2 hrs. Over time, you may decide now and then to try something else, one of those things instead of video games. See how that makes you feel. For me the opportunity cost of giving two hours to computer games is simply too high.

It's a matter of priorities and how you prioritize your time. I used to play for hours as a kid (Loom, Indy Jones, Monkey Island, Warcraft etc. for those geeks out there) and now play zero and haven't for decades. If you've taken care of everything you want for you and your self development and need some down/ pers. enjoyment time AND have time left, then go for it. Keep in mind highly addictive nature of it though. Look up people who have literally died from exhaustion after fucking tens of hou…

This. This is a great comment re video games. Reminds me of difference between boys and men laid out so well and powerful in the 400 page RP handbook. (Great for basics, downloadable on main TRP sub).

Fight Club - Reference to movie. Basically best to never talk about RP directly. Live it, discuss ideas and concepts, but best to be silent on its name and label. And goes without saying but never with women/ your woman. It will likely do way more harm than good.

Oh man. You have lots of learning to do. -You are making snide comments. That's so beta and passive aggressive like crazy. -You are being controlling directly calling her out on her eating cookies at the wrong time. The way to get her to change is to have her want to change. She needs to thoroughly and deeply believe she better get in shape to meet your expectations. That's when she gives up eating shit and works out. It will take time and "correcting" small actions like that will back fire in y…

I am very passionate about stuff I believe in so started to see myself get into conversations that espouse my thinking and RP way of seeing the world. Challenge becomes in staying stoic and cool and not getting into heated debates that ultimately convince no one. The idea is to live by example and subtly suggest better way to BP guys through indirect activities and again, examples. Be the leader and do, don't talk. Definitely first rule of FC applies... Edit spelling

This subreddit and the advice given by guys here is a great substitute for that 'breaking free' activity.

She gets to you because she's right (she does control sex, while you control commitment) and you haven't internalized your value yet to treat something like that with a witty reply. I would have just laughed out loud and walked away "Sure honey, control away". Remember whatever she says is BS the majority of the time. Act amused.

"I would have liked some sex this morning but I wanted her to initiate. " Are you serious? You've been gone for so long you should be banging your woman like rabbits and setting the tone for the relationship now that you're back together physically. Read heartiste's 16 commandments again to freshen up. Get in the alpha seat now, go after what you want and stop expecting shit until you established how it's going to be. And stop feeling good about yourself when you're confusing her with flirtatiou…

I like the last part the most. Must do that as part of carrying out a thoughtful calculated plan, and not an emotional reaction. I put together a checklist and am working on it before I am fully prepared and ready to do it. Once I check all boxes, it will be time to eject and move on.
