God this hit me like a ton of bricks. I KNOW I am such an obnoxious know-it-all. I love to be right. I have put people off - all but the hardest, most closed-off of bitchy, snarky bitches - because I adore a concise and cutting jab, a sick burn, or a harsh observation. My desire for self improvement has advanced my life. It stems from insecurity, and resulted in me refusing to delude myself any further. Looking things in the eye and calling a spade a spade made it easier to BE better. But it’s h…

If you do like him or at least might be interested, you can always reply "great, thanks! Mine is 333-2222" or whatever. That's what I did back in the day if a man gave me his number. I certainly wouldn't call it. I agree with you, it's aggressive. If you don't feel comfortable giving him your number, don't!

"Not all of us are like that!! Not al of us want what you want!" Until you do. Have some humility darling. We've BEEN where you are.

I guess the only thing I would have to tell you in this regard is, yes, you are happy for now. A huge facet of red pill culture to me is delayed gratification. At some point, you will have explored your sexuality thoroughly..with a lot of heartache along the way.. and will probably want to get married. In real life, you won't necessarily have trouble finding a husband because you used to sleep around. I'm sure a lot of us here used to. But the truth is, this does not lead to lasting happiness. R…

Get 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel and put it on where you get whiteheads. I have bad acne and this works for me. Irritation causes acne for those with sensitive skin, so make sure you are as gentle as possible. Treat your skin delicately. If I'm not mistaken, the benzoyl peroxide forces the pore open so that oxygen can penetrate it; the combination of a collapsed pore and bacteria causes acne. An open pore can't get blocked, and the bacteria can't thrive in an oxygenated environment. The higher conc…

Oh lord of course there's hope! I am like a red flag bomb: I was a single mom, I have tattoos, bad girl reputation, recovered drug addict, lots of travel, and I'm not even that objectively attractive. I met and married a super masculine, sweet guy who thinks I hung the moon. He is more attractive than me (I think) and we got married and had another child. I mostly stay at home, he brings home the bacon, I defer to him, we're happy. In our early dating stages I even had sex with him super early a…

If you're very sweet in real life and very combative on here, then you're combative AND fake. Men aren't bumbling idiots. They are perceptive. They're also not property, and I think your desperation to have a guy want to marry you is probably palpable in person even if you don't mention it. That probably sounds super rude but I don't know how else to say it without losing my point.

Haha! Not only was this very very poorly written and researched, but does anyone else think it lacks conviction? Like she was tap-tapping away at her computer like, "Yknow maybe I could stand to be a little bit nicer to Mitch."

I was single when I had my first child so I could name him however I wanted. My husband likes wild names and I like classic-but-not-TOO-common names. Also my husband wanted a boy to have a Gaelic name for my Irish heritage, or a girl to have a Spanish name for his heritage. Our second was a boy so he wanted some super exuberant Irish name...we decided to do it as the middle name and make the first a little more classic. It was hard to be soft and yielding about something as important as our chil…

This is a very sweet thing and I really like it. I picked up one or two night shifts as a waitress a week to give him a little extra wiggle room. Just started though, so I can't say if it will help or not.

Wow, are you me? This is the story of my life. I really don't mind the presents though. Gifts are my love language. ;) I also don't want to make him feel like he doesn't make enough for me. Staying at home with my kids was my dream and he already made it come true. I will be forever FOREVER in awe of him for that. I fully intend to read Surrendered Wife but have yet not.

That's what I do too, and it is not working. He spends the entire month's nonessential/fun money in a week or two and then I get major side eye over what the groceries cost. I do not and will not like...portion out the money to him like I don't trust him with it. I feel like maybe I should just work on accepting this about him. The upside to this is fine jewelry for birthday/Christmas/Valentines and at least one fancy date and nice new thing every month.. hahahaha...oh my sweet man. Sounds like …

Sorry that was confusing. Not a dollar set aside since we were married and combined finances two months ago. Plenty of savings before that ☺️

I slowly came to Red Pill from The Rules. I was googling a series of phrases trying to find Rules-minded girl groups because I was sick and tired of "you deserve so much better, honey!" and "you go girl!" from my slutty, divorced, and husband-bashing peers. I much prefer RPW to the Rules and I am SO GLAD I found you guys. I'm a newlywed to an amazing dude. Lurked here for a couple months before posting/commenting. Love it here.

Also romance is not business. Money is more business than romance but my marriage is way more important than money, so just because something is effective doesn't mean it's worth it if it makes my husband feel like a child or my subordinate..

So yeah, next time I ask my personal assistant to make up some amortization schedules for me, I'll make sure to chew her out for patronizing me after she does it. Lol

Thank you for your comment, it's my favorite so far...that's exactly how I feel. I don't feel comfortable telling him no when we works so hard. And I refuse to bitch at him when the money is gone because I love him and I want him to be happy and happy with me.

This is basically what we do also. Our expenses are very low right now and we don't use credit cards either. I guess I just want him to see how good it could be if we were saving what we don't need, but not a single month has gone by where we have saved ANYTHING. It's like if it's there to spend, it will be gone immediately.

Ha! I had sex with my husband on the first date too, same situation: we knew each other for years and didn't like each other. Then suddenly we did. (Connected at a friend's wedding. He was the only person I even remotely knew there so I clung to his side..he asked me out a few weeks later.) Got engaged like six months in, and married less than a year after that. I also expected a one night stand but we really liked each other. He was surprised (understandably) by my low number of partners. I'm s…

THISSS. I have always found her repulsive. When I'm with my girls, I am a crass, knee-slapping, braying mess. I am hard to shock or make uncomfortable. I am not a prude. But Amy Schumer gives me the heebie jeebies

I would definitely wait. It's best to open up slowly; there's no need to burden what is essentially a stranger with your life story. Just keep it light. Maybe do less worrying about your past and more listening to what this new man is telling you about himself!

Listen. I think this issue is more than you putting on heels and being nicer. About five years back I had an ex who was perfect. Cute, funny, kind, hugely successful, wonderful in every way. He wanted to marry me and give me a family. If I kept the house picked up and the clothes clean, I would have wanted for nothing my entire life. I broke up with him because I wasn't attracted to him. It was hard for me to accept or even recognize, because he was handsome and we had great sex. Everything was …

If OP's boyfriend sees her as damaged goods because of it she dodged a bullet IMO. Completely agreed. But only she can decide.

Thanks for reminding me! I need to unearth my yoga DVDs. My newborn was eleven pounds at birth (oof) so my core is kind of destroyed. It still hurts when I touch my stomach even though I didn't have a c-section, so I think it's still a little early for weights and running and stuff.

It's kind of jarring, getting used to the male "fix it" mentality, but once you are used to it, you realize that men are helping and protecting you all the time. It's just not the way women would do it. As I said, all in all I have found men to be generally more supportive and kind about it, but the asking a bunch of questions is a little weird at first. :)

I have also been sexually assaulted, as well as molested in my youth, and unfortunately women tend to fall into two categories: you had it coming, or WELL YEAH ALL MEN ARE DISGUSTING SEX-BEASTS, I hate men! I've noticed men are actually far more understanding (though not necessarily tender) about it. They ask a lot of questions (presumably trying to determine your role in it, form a logical picture of what happened, etc) and you have to remind yourself that in the current era, women cry rape at …

I've been struggling. I need to diet but I've been very unmotivated. I have a two month old baby, I gained 50lbs with my pregnancy and I have lost 40, but my body is looking pretty depressing. A friend of my husband's died, and I am being as soft and supportive as I can. He wants to host an event to benefit his family and I am doing what I can to help. I posted about my husband and I getting into a fight about going out drinking, and we got into another fight about him being out with his friends…

I don't know what to tell you to do but I do know that it breaks my heart why you're listing all these justifications why it's not your fault you were sexually assaulted. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Of course it isn't your fault.

I did and do understand that, also. I understand that chastity and virtue and innocence are desirable and feminine qualities and anything that might make you seem like a ho, even if you are not specifically a ho, is going to be met with some hesitation. But the bit about being adventurous and daring, that was extra helpful to me.

Wow. I am so glad you explained that in these terms. "Because it might mean you are a slut" wasn't enough for me, as I never ever slept with anyone on the road. I traveled a lot in my late teens and I learned so much..I traveled like a hobo, not a tourist. My now-husband traveled the same way and to the same places and I was always confused by his reaction. He wasn't really impressed and didn't find it all that interesting. Glad it wasn't enough to scare him away entirely ;)

I love this! I had decided to be single forever too when my husband and I got together. I had spent two years celibate, trying my ass off to find a good man. Gave up and bam. Married a year later. Haha

I did. Luckily they were good friends and it was casual, but still inappropriate because we were discussing serious matters and most importantly, my husband was embarrassed. However I called the friends this morning to apologize and I was very relieved that she was like "what in the fresh hell are you talking about"
