After reading your story and a little experience of my own. Don't be surprised if you find out later that she has been and is still cheating on you.

Let me know. I will try to send you some money. Even if you only get a few hundred bucks you can get some clothes and necessities. Good luck.

I understand. That's why i mentioned Venmo so people could send you a little money. My x stole pictures from me that are long gone of my dad. So i understand. Maybe when you get on your feet sue her for not only your stuffs value but for the mental anguish she caused by destroying irreplaceable items.

I am in Georgia. In my state they have a law that is called alienation of affection. It is considered a legal separation even if you lived together. So basicly the last time you had sex. That may not cut very much into that one year wait but it might. As far as your stuff you can take her to small claims now and maybe win. Or if you can wait until the divorce it can be included in that process. As far as getting stuff now if you have a little money go to good will. Or maybe visit the place that …

You're right. Many kids grow up wishing their parents had divorced. It's better to live in two separate households with happy parents than to live in a misrable environment. A lot of us had it drilled into our heads that we would screw up our kids lives and mental well being if we divorced. And kids needed to be with both parents. So we sucked it up and stayed until they were adults. The reality is we screwed them up much worse by staying together than we ever would have if we divorced. It's not…

Good thing my kids are adults and i don't have shit. Half of nothing is still nothing. Plus she makes the same as me. Guess we picked the best time to divorce. But living in misery until the kids are adults did suck big time.

Thank you. I appreciate your help. I know many years ago when she cheated and i played the pick me game and begged her to stay i wish Reddit was such a thing. After reading so many stories and talking to others i hope i have helped others just as i been helped. I really would have benefited from this site. That was almost 20 years ago. Cell phones had barely started. I think i made every single mistake i could have made. We ended up separating anyway. I could have saved myself from a lot of hear…

That was a very interesting video. I see some narcissist things that she does. But i also listened to things in the video that doesn't match her. But what is surprising to me and now has me confused is i see those narcissist traits in myself. For example i was never able to forgive and let go of her cheating on me. And i brought it up alot during the rest of our marriage. Now i chalked it up to her lying about it. Trickle truthing me for years. She never accepted responsibility. It was my fault.…

I have looked at old pictures and wonder where that person went and was she this way all along. Because she is only this way towards me. Anyone else and she is nice. I have talked to her many times and the story changes but i ask for reasons that she hates me and she comes up with things that doesn't warrant that much hatred. Like you didn't give me enough public affection when we first got married. Damn that was 30 plus years ago and you are just now telling me it was a problem. Why didn't you …

Damn i don't remember writing this. I have been through this exact thing. I realized i never even knew her. I never realized how much she could change and do the things she did. Say the things she said. And not feel bad at all. She took zero responsibility for her actions. Your story brings back so many of those exact memories for me. I wish i had a solution or advice but i am still living that nightmare.

You better go on the offensive. I had a friend that his ex told the judge he was on drugs. No proof whatsoever. But she accused him. He spent the first 2 years after his divorce taking weekly drug and alcohol tests. He had to pick up his daughters on a Saturday at 9 am. Return them at 6 pm. And then do the same thing on Sunday. He was never allowed to have them overnight during this period. Two years it took of him proving himself before the judge finally redid custody. All because she went on t…
