I disagree. There are two things that give guys social status in the eyes of other guys: 1) You're dating a girl who is or looks like a model. the posters in /r/relationships are such fucking hypocrites. a guy wanted to leave his wife because she had an anxiety disorder and was unemployed and people seriously gave him shit for trying to break his wedding vows. but in this thread where the woman wants to leave for another man, how many times do they tell her to stay together for no other reason than the fact that she's married? how much shit does she get for trying to break her vows? zero. men are moral agents; women are moral patients.

I disagree. people don't hate mens rights because of the title. they hate the idea of men discussing the ways women and society have wronged them, and trying to find ways to fix it. whatever title you change the reddit/movement to they're going to get pissed at it. leave it the way it is and if it offends other people, so be it.

I think the simple fact that MRA's have started to exist and speak has shown a fundamental change in society. It is now within men's best interest (despite all the backlash from society) to start thinking about themselves. Keep the momentum going and things will keep moving in the right direction.

My point is, it isn't black and white. There may be 280 studies in her favour, but there are some working against her. The overwhelming majority of the evidence is in her favor and no amount of handwaving or equivocating is going to change that.

did you even read the first sentence of the first link she posted? SUMMARY: This bibliography examines 282 scholarly investigations: 218 empirical studies and 64 reviews and/or analyses, which demonstrate that women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners. The aggregate sample size in the reviewed studies exceeds 369,800. get 280 more studies and then maybe you'll have a case worth considering.
