How did I misunderstand?

I totally agree. Some people are truly gross with their pets. Hair everywhere, let them sleep in their bed (gross!), they walk all over every surface in their home after they poop/pee in a box they walked in. My OCD could never deal with pets of any kind because I can’t get over how dirty they are. I’m kind of shocked at some of these comments

Hmmm I actually don’t like cats at all myself (I’m a female). I’m genuinely curious why you say it’s creepy

Right! I’ve never understood the paying $20k for a vial of sperm thing. Literally any guy will give it to you for free and then you can just lose his number

Ah context is interesting isn’t it. I was referencing the original quote that she also referenced. I posted the full read of her writing where this screen capture was taken from.

Was this written in the 1700s?!?? I really needed to start my day with a good laugh and this quote definitely did it 🤣 So basically the quote advises to settle for the bare minimum because asking for more is “improper”. This makes you an “easy-going”, “low maintenance” girlfriend. Ladies, HEAR THIS! By not expecting the person you date to hold themselves to a higher standard, you are not holding yourself to a higher standard! All the times you gave effort to a man? It’s because you wanted it for…

Ive emptied mine all the time in public restrooms. Dump in the toilet, wipe cup down with toilet paper, wipe hand with tp (I also always carry wet ones in my purse) insert cup, wash hands outside move on with my life. To me it’s the same as changing a tampon for the most part but you have to do it way less often

Basically it’s “spoiled” or “high maintenance” both I find hilarious because there’s literally nothing I can’t buy for myself. So, my question to them is “what exactly are you adding to my life here”?!?

The sad thing is he’s probably not alone because pick me’s have lowered their standards to the bare minimum and set a terribly low bar of what is acceptable. The fact is he thinks he’s “right” because he has found women that will stoop to his level. We have to do better as women and raise our standards

Are we gonna ignore the fact that after the amazingly low effort coffee date she’s got to WALK to his place so he can bestow sex upon her. Not even an Uber ride??? The jokes just write themselves honestly

How sad that she had to end a valid statement of “Like the fact that we can’t go out and have a nice meal makes me feel like I’m not even worth that“ with a “haha” says everything. Sis, don’t add the “haha” it’s not funny and you already know he doesn’t value you when you are now his personal chef... otherwise he will “charge you” for a damn pizza... A PIZZA!! There’s a big thread on dating over 40 where they are talking about who pays on a first date. Literally every woman on there is talking a…

There’s still a good amount of misogyny going on in the over 40 dating sub. I have been blocked from it a couple of times myself and downvoted to oblivion for my comments on there … Proudly!

Yep. 401(k) loaning/gifting is a bad play IMO for anyone and quite honestly an “old school” move. If you buy crypto and transfer it to a wallet, not only do you not have to worry about the tax ramifications of pulling out that “Gift” like you do with 401(k), but that money gets to grow throughout the entirety of your divorce proceedings at a rate that a 401(k) could never, and he will literally just get richer off of it. He could liquidate everything to cash and throw it all in crypto/Bitcoin. T…

They aren’t hard to find. I stumbled across one researching investment strategies

You only get access to 401(k) through a company or if you start one for your own company. My advice... start maxing out a Roth annually with primary investment in it being a S&P 500 based or Total Stock Market Index fund that has no minimum investment to buy in and NO COST EXPENSE RATIO. Fidelity has plenty of these and they will out perform any investment plays you could possibly have for your long term retirement.

Hence why I said she’s lucky because I know exactly how rare HVM men are. It’s a cautionary tale either way to any SAHM. When she told me this my first reaction was “OMG so what happens to SAHM?!?” I mean, that’s what her generation basically was their whole lives. The answer ladies is, you get ZERO from the government! You are seen as worthless as you didn’t earn a salary, talk about a jagged pill to swallow. I am a single working mother and have my retirement secured, but I feel there’s plenty…

My mother just found out that she basically will get nothing from social security being a stay at home mom. Here’s the real kicker, we had a family business that she ran every single day and broke her back to run. The female CPA they had told them decades ago it would be best to put that business in my father’s name. Therefore social security can’t help her because it looks like (for decades) she earned nothing while she busted her ass to care for a family and run a business. Now, my father is a…

Most people will tell you that if you simply input their name or their phone number in Google, sometimes you can get criminal records online. I did not want to take that chance with the severity of the allegations. I actually went to my local county clerks office and ran a record search underneath his name on any criminal or civil matters. That’s how I found out he wasn’t divorced. There were marriage records but absolutely no record of divorce (they always lived here). I had them double check d…

Oh spot on this is EXACTLY what he was doing. The “cover up” was real. I believe you’re 1000% right only because she did say that she was on a mission that whoever he ended up with next she wanted to make sure that it didn’t happen to them

Yes! I am now a firm believer in believing women. When she reached out to me she said that as soon as she knew he was going to be with someone else she wanted to protect them from him and not have them endure what she endured. The funny thing is he has her blocked on social media so I guess she has other people lurking or she has a lurker profile LOL but I’m grateful nonetheless

This!!! It’s soo frustrating to date men. I have spent roughly 4 years alone since my last ex and I just don’t wanna be alone but I’m absolutely 1000% not going to settle. Yes this time I tried to actually think she was being honest. No need to go back and forth with the banter. I blocked both of them when I found out ans moved on

Let’s talk about the cost of actually “outsourcing” some of this labor... combine those costs and we are talking massive dollars involved, and definitely more than 6 figures a year

Let me tell you I am thankful for the fellow queens on FDS. I am on other dating subs (I don’t want to put anyone on blast) but the hilarious thing is other women have literally attacked me for having standards when replying on that sub of what I won’t settle for, what kind of dates I go on, how I like to personally present myself for a date etc. A man on the sub asked me (specifically) my mindset and I explained, for myself and myself ONLY!! These women are mad at me talking about “don’t speak …

Listen!! 2021 needs to be the year we being back shaming. I’m here for it. Yes OP he SHOULD be ashamed to ask you to accept those terms and only value yourself as someone who is there for sexual pleasure. Proud of you

Im curious what open ended question/questions you ask upfront. Do you just literally ask “What are your thoughts when it comes to being in a relationship”?? I definitely want to use this bit curious how you ask

Absolutely! This isn’t an animal shelter, so we are not the ones responsible to “rescue“ these “poor men” and give them chances. My standards are sky high and I’m perfectly happy being alone until someone meets them.
