But you don't feel like you're being imposed on and exploited if you respect the other person as the decision maker. You would hate to give someone 20-50%+ of your earnings for them to spend on killing people in wars, housing people who don't want to work etc but you respect your government as a decision maker so it doesn't bother you that much or keep you up at night. You would hate for someone to tell you that you have to be in a certain place for 8 hours a day and you have to ask them for per…

It still does a bit but not as much. You can probably think of some examples in your own life. If someone you see as an equal makes a decision for you that you hate or makes you do something you don't like (maybe your friend, a boyfriend/girlfriend, a workmate) you will distrust them forever and maybe even end that relationship. If someone you see as your superior (teacher, government, parent as a child) makes a decision for you that you hate or makes you do something you don't like, you'll stil…

Someone has to be respected as the decision maker for a relationship to work, usually the man. Why? There will always be conflicts in a relationship. When you're in an equal relationship, you both argue your point and you need to both make the decision that is "fair" and "right". Both parties will think that's themself. Then they will resent the other party for going against them. Plus you waste so much time and energy having to prove your point and make your decision (or feeling downtrodden bec…

It sounds like the matchmaker was giving some solid advice and trying to help but this woman wasn't ready to listen.

They don't. Maybe they value a woman who is ambitious, intelligent, and well-educated. Her money is useless if she only wants a man on her level financially. Plus it renders the man's money useless too. Maybe they think a woman like this would make for a great mother to their children. She's borderline too old to have children clearly will be more focused on career/status than mothering. Maybe they get to know her and she's quite funny I had to turn the video off after 17 seconds because she's j…

It's a proxy for status/money/intelligence. If you have any kind of real status, money or intelligence, a college degree becomes redundant.

An ideal men's look is flawed, an ideal women's look is flawless. So even if looks were of equal importance for men and women, men have more leeway when it comes to age. Looks make up a lower percentage of mens overall attractiveness, so it's not so catastrophic when they lose them, especially as the other attraction factors should be improving with age. A 32 year old man who's rich, high status, experienced and charismatic is much more attractive than the 22 year old model with nothing else goi…

Because the work it took to make the money to pay for it or at least the work it took to become the man that is capable of earning that kind of money was a bigger sacrifice and effort than casually preparing some food for someone you love.

99% of women are going to appreciate being taken out for a fancy meal more than being cooked one lol, why is this a debate. In your example, women aren't actually complaining about men not cooking, they're complaining about having to cook themselves.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
