My partner is not active in this sub, so I am just going to answer for myself. Do they consider themselves a feminist? Yes, I do. Do they know or care at all about men's issues? Yes, I do. Have they ever heard of RP/1nc3ls and if so what do they think of them? Things like that, anything related to gender issues. I have heard of that stuff (duh) and I do not think highly of it. Neither does my partner.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 08:37 PM

I mean I have always disliked gender roles. In the I might be non-binary or something similar kind of way (so yes, in the transgender kind of sense).

Enby :3 The panini caused me to struggle with uni and I also developed a crippling fear of failure and severe depression (which made my already low self-esteem/-worth even more abysmal) and potentially undiagnosed ADHD. I have a very hard time even just thinking about having to write a thesis and believing in myself. But I have to try, I can't just give up now.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 07:25 PM

No preference, I'll just work with what the person I fall in love with has. Not important. I don't orgasm from penetration alone anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 07:08 PM

Today was an anxiety fueled day. I finally took the steps to get my thesis started. I am still terrified of writing it and think I wont be able to do it, but I'll at least try I guess. I also used the gender neutral name I am toying with at Starbucks (to get a pumpkin spice latte). Of course the barista was unsure and I had to spell it to him. It felt scary like he was going to know that it's not my real name lol. I also bought myself a cheap "men's" perfume that smelled very gender and I am stu…

Well, the higher suicide rate for men is coming from somewhere. There's isn't a government to provide benefits and no access to professional help. This isn't true depending on where you live.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 07:10 PM

If you can function without completely destroying yourself, sure. But there is no shame in not being able to function when struggling with severe depression. No matter what gender. And those people should get themselves professional help. Having depression is not "dealing with some personal stuff".

I am still fascinated and disturbed by the reactions to it. Makes me kind of sad honestly, that just because a man is gender non-conforming, that this causes such strong reactions in (I am assuming) straight men. I wonder why that is. Like deep down, what is the reason?

I don't know why, but he is unsettling.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 10:23 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 09:11 PM

Why are they acting like that though?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 09:07 PM

The way I was scared to click on this based on the comments the men here left. Now I that I did click I am wondering what their problem is.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 08:57 PM

I see. It's great that you have a (I am assuming) close and good relationship with your parents. I personally would not feel comfortable with my parent's knowing what I share in therapy. It's easier for me to open up to my therapist than to people close to me, as fucked as that sounds. Anyway I am just rambling, there are a lot of books on mental health/trauma that might be resources for you to look into if therapy doesn't work for you. I can recommend "Healing the shame that binds you" in case …

/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 06:29 PM

The movies and series I watch are pretty diverse, so no one genre. Nothing incredibly niche. In terms of reading I enjoy YA novels (Eragon, Hunger Games, Bartimaeus, etc) but also books like Dune. I am currently reading mental health/self help books. I play RDR2 and DbD. this counts tho but ew I mean you asked lol. I just realized I read your question wrong. Sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 05:54 PM

What is the most not normie hobby or preference you have? I guess enjoying reading, watching movies and series. Does gaming count as a normie hobby? What is the most non conforming thing you did/do? I like collecting skulls/bones and dead insects (and other small dead animals). Edit: I am a dummy and read the question wrong. I thought it said "the most normie hobby".
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 05:48 PM

I hope so too. I can give an update in tomorrows community chat.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:36 PM

I avoid animal products at home. I was vegan for multiple years but fell off. I am doing the best I can currently. I can still chose to help wildlife in need instead of just letting it die.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:35 PM

I either let them say inside or bring them outside, yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:14 PM

Sorry, I guess? Lol I rescued fallen sparrow babies before and gave them to a person who has the knowledge and capacity to care for them. It doesn't cost more than a bit of effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:00 PM

Have you used a dating app? No. And I only do relationships in case that matters.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:58 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:48 PM

Or you can be a decent person and help injured wildlife instead of feeding it to an invasive species.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:46 PM

I also took myself out for food today because I hadn't eaten all day because of anxiety about the jay. Eating at a restaurant alone isn't so awkward after all. <image>
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:44 PM

My parents found an injured Eurasian jay yesterday evening. I picked him up today and brought him to a clinic specialized in birds. I hope they can fix him up again. I will call them and ask for an update tomorrow. <image>

I have seen men being nasty to women online, especially if they are under the impression if that woman "chooses" to be "ugly" (as in short hair, body hair, piercings, clothing...). It's like they take offence to women not conforming to beauty standards.

My friends are not druggies or criminals. Money would take quite a while. I'd rather not change my looks tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 05:53 PM

I definitely have some issues when it comes to friendships due to previous experiences and the panini made me lose my social skills. Add to that the mental illness and you have me: insecure, needy and overthinking everything. I still mourn past friendships. I guess I need to address this more during therapy. I just don't feel secure in my friendships.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/23 05:52 PM

Does anyone know how to stop being/feeling more invested in friendships than the other person? I honestly feel like friendship doesn't come naturally to me anymore. I feel lost. I try to give them space because obviously they have their own lives, but rarely do they contact me if I don't reach out first. And if I reach out frequently I feel like I just come across as needy/clingy/annoying.

He is against circumcision? Cool. Oh wait, no he is against healthcare for trans people. That isn't even done to children. But he is hateful and disingenuous, so why would he care.

I will never forgive him for that because the transphobes just parrot the question instead of coming up with their own stuff.

I have seen my partner try to put on a regular condom. It doesn't work, causes him pain and it would just increase the risk of it breaking. We would have to order condoms for his size online (from mysize or something similar). I will continue looking into getting sterilized.

I am 27. I think the common consensus is that it is basically impossible for women/afab people without children to pursue sterilization in my country. But there is a website with resources for afab people that want to get sterilized. That includes a map with doctors and their restrictions (age, children) for sterilization. There is one near my area that does sterilization for childfree women above 25 years old. So I am hoping to maybe get the procedure done there. But it'll take time and cost mo…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 10:45 AM

I mean I get the concern of "you might change your mind later on", but that still shouldn't be an excuse to refuse people sterilization.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 10:36 AM

I am on birth control and my periods have been very consistent, except for my previous one and the one I am having currently. It's me being paranoid, I know I am very likely not pregnant, especially since the one pregnancy test was negative. But I am mentally ill and terrified of getting pregnant, so that doesn't help. And I think cases where women still have slight, period-like bleedings aren't that uncommon.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 10:35 AM
1

My last two periods have been weird and noticeably lighter than usual and of course now I am paranoid of being pregnant. Already took a pregnancy test a few weeks ago (which was negative), guess I am going to buy another one today and hope that gives me some peace of mind. I should really seriously look into getting sterilized, I don't need this added mental pressure. My next gyn appointment is in December. And she likely wont be open to the idea so I'll have to look for a specific doctor after.

AFAB non-binary, bi demisexual I honestly don't know how to objectively rate myself since I have low self-esteem and pretty much hate myself and my body (because mental illness). Non conforming men arent all that attractive to women Are they? so by not conforming they create more issues for themselves. Now the question is which of the issues outweighs each other: being true to yourself (being non-conforming) but having a smaller dating pool vs wearing a mask/putting on an act (conforming) and having a bigger dating pool. I personally (although not a man) am happier being non-conforming and having the majority of men not be attracted to me.

Men feeling comfortable expressing emotions is a good thing. Bottling everything up is unhealthy. If a person does not feel comfortable with their gender roles I see no harm in not conforming. I would be deeply unhappy if I had to conform.

Ok, but I am not those women. An arrogant gym guy is far away from what I would consider a friend, even further for a romantic partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 03:17 PM
1

Women all want the same thing Imagine actually believing this.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 03:10 PM
1

I don't have one "type" so there isn't really a preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 03:01 PM
1

Physical dealbreakers are being severely over- or underweight or having bad hygiene. I look for someone who I can be myself around with. Someone who accepts and loves me for who I am (same goes for them of course). Someone who is kind and compassionate and shares similar values. Bonus points for kind eyes and a nice smile.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 03:00 PM

As I said, I don't care about height. My partner is shorter than me. Not being fit does not mean fat. Just an average body is fine. I prefer some softness. Not being rich does not necessarily mean being poor.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 02:57 PM
1

are you fat? No lol. Idk I am not exactly conventionally attractive. Maybe around average?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 02:55 PM
1

Because height, being fit (V taper shape, chiseled jawline) and being rich isn't what is important to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 02:50 PM

It's kind of hard to unlearn things and heal trauma though.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 02:42 PM

Here are the ones I could think of that I find aesthetically attractive: male: Bill Skarsgard, Cillian Murphy, (young) Skeet Ulrich, Dev Patel, Bang Yongguk, Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn, Lakeith Stanfield, Chadwick Boseman (may he rest in peace) female: Keira Knightley (in Pirates of the Caribbean was my gay awakening), Cate Blanchett, Gillian Anderson, Sigourney Weaver (as Ripley), Angela Bassett, Adria Arjona, Lupita Nyong'o non-binary: Janelle Monáe, Vico Ortiz, Emma D'Arcy, J. Harrison Ghee
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/23 10:12 PM

I would not do that, if the dates are romantic ones. I do hang out with friends of course.

Ugly people are treated worse, yes. That still doesn't mean that women enjoy seeing men suffer, cant have empathy for them or don't think of them. Or that they are invisible to women.

It's not so much about changing opinions, but rather that the person made a baseless assumption/leap of "logic" and refuses to provide any source for their assumption, so the whole discussion became pointless.

Equality of the sexes. I am just a feminist. I don't define myself as any "kind of feminist". I am sex positive, not promiscuous, I don't think I am entitled, atheist, non-man hating, liberal, "masculine". Feminism advocates for choice. If a woman wants to be a "masculine" boss babe she can do that. If she wants to be a feminine stay at home mom she can do that. Same applies for men of course. To be fair the solution was provided primarily to inexperienced guys. Dudes don't like being less sexually experienced than their woman. And that justifies cheating? How? Why be in a relationship in the first place if your true intetion is to cheat and sleep around?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 12:25 PM
1

I was talking about my not so good relationship with food and my body with my therapist this week and today, when visiting my parents for lunch, my dad commented how I was eating a lot today. Then my mum proceeded to tell me how much my dad ate yesterday for dinner and bragged how little she ate. Fml.

What do you mean by non sexual intimacy ? Cuddling, kissing, just being close and embracing each other. So yeah, that would be excluded in what you were describing. I couldn't live like that, so matter how many friends or how good my social life was. Are you bisexual ? Bi demisexual, yeah.

Sorry for the late reply, I was sleeping. A shorter man doesn't make you feel less feminine like most women claim? Are you able to genuinely respect a man who is shorter than you? Do you feel like he could protect you? Don't taller men make you feel more protected and feminine? Both my ex and my current partner are shorter than me. I am not big on "feeling feminine" so I might be the wrong person to answer these questions. But yes, of course I am able to respect people who are shorter than me. I…

I don't care about height, but then again, I am 6'2. I date interracially and have no preference when it comes to ethnicity. As long as we work in terms of personality and value. I don't know honestly. Do you know if other people even notice this about you? Loving animals is a big plus. Same goes for being vegan. I am not vegan anymore myself, but I still try to avoid animal products for the most part. This is my own personal opinion as an afab person, other women might feel differently.

To some degree it's biology, but a lot of it is either missing experience/education or simply not caring. Yes, the orgasm gap could be more narrow if men would get better at making women orgasm and if women advocated for their own pleasure more.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 11:25 AM

I think pointing out the orgasm gap is still valid, as when one looks at the gap between lesbian and straight women, it's clear that lesbian women orgasm significantly more during partnered sex than straight women.

It shouldn't be a one-sided thing. In my first relationship sex was something that was done to me. My pleasure (and boundaries) were not important or regarded. In my current relationship sex is a mutual and intimate experience. Worlds apart. I actually have orgasm with my partner.

It's not that I don't like therapy, it's just when I am not feeling well (for reasons that I am in therapy for) I have the urge to isolate and not talk about my problems. So I have to force myself to go.

Being woke, depressed, feminist or "beta" aren't dealbreakers. I would even count woke and feminist as positives. My partner is woke, depressed, feminist and what you guys would call "beta". Although I will say that obesity is a dealbreaker.

I mean I don't know all current men. The ones I do know would not benefit from this. Mental health issues and emotions don't go away just because they are "unmanly". Men should be able to talk about them and express them freely with people close to them without being judged for not conforming to some idea of masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/23 07:15 PM
1

How many of you all here shit on men as a whole to your significant other? I don't do that. Would you be ok with him doing the same back to women? No.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/23 07:09 PM
3

I am probably the minority, but both my ex and my current partner are shorter than me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/23 07:04 PM
1

Toxic masculinity: Telling boys to "man up" if they are showing emotions (especially "unmanly" ones like crying). Internalizing that and being unable to express emotions in a healthy manner, judging other man for not being "manly enough". Toxic femininity: shaming other women for not having children because "that is what women "are supposed to do", judging mothers for choosing to have a C-section or using formula instead of breastfeeding.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/23 06:57 PM
1

Well femininity (and masculinity) aren't really universal things, they look different for every person. But I do not want to embrace femininity (at least not physically) because that's just not who I am.

I mean men have no reason to be physically afraid of me. In terms of male friends or partner I let them know (and show through my actions) that I am there for them if they need me, that I always have an open ear and a shoulder to cry on for them and that I wont gossip anything around.

Key part missed here was when I said that having sex when you don't want to have it is (or rather can be) damaging. Yes, even with your significant other. Speaking from experience. I would like to copy what u/fiftypoundpuppy said that explains it better: Being penetrated by someone when you don't want them to is viscerally violating and creates deep resentment. It doesn't matter if you technically consented, if you don't want them in your body it feels like they're violating you. And I don't kno…

I mean yeah, I wasn't claiming to speak for the majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:29 PM
1

But non-sexual intimacy (kissing, cuddling, hugging) remaining? I can live with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:23 PM

I don't have casual sex and I would prefer a partner who also hasn't been interested in casual sex, which would correlate with a lower number of sexual partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:21 PM
2

Fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:16 PM
2

I mean I would have a conversation with them about what changed, how they are feeling and try to see what boundaries to set. Is only PIV sex off the table? Do they still want to engage in (mutual) masturbation for example? Is our non-sexual intimacy going to remain unchanged? But I would absolutely continue being in a happy relationship with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:10 PM
1

I would still disagree. My partner and I are long distance so we are " inside eachothers guts" only a few times a year. Even if we stopped having sex at all I would still feel different for them than I do for my friends. But I can understand that other people would feel differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:03 PM
1

Honestly, I feel like sex is the only thing we can offer to men. No man truly enjoys being with one woman all the time. This is a very sad perspective to have. My partner would disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:55 PM
4

Well imo there is a difference between platonic love (friendship) and romantic love, even without sex. I was asking explicitly about sex, kissing and cuddling was included in my original question. But I am not so much asking about actions (as in having sex) but rather feelings. Even if my partner and I stopped having sex we would still be in a romantic relationship and I would love them romantically, in a way that is different from my friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:50 PM
1

I would argue that there is a difference between platonic love and romantic love (even without sex).
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:47 PM

Is sex really the only thing that differentiates friendships and romantic relationships for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 03:58 PM

Again, I didnt say that I judge all AGRs, I am just saying that there is increased potential. That's all I am saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 11:12 AM
1

Yes, but I would argue that it is significantly higher in AGRs, especially with a very young partner. Some of the stuff I tolerated in my first relationship was simply because I didn't know it any different, I was young and impressionable and naive. None of the shit would fly with me today.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 11:06 AM

To a degree. I don't have many physical dealbreakers or preferences when it comes to potential romantic partners. What I care about is: not severely under- or overweight and decent hygiene. I am also not into really muscular men. I prefer a soft man. That being said, when it comes to me, you can be as beautiful or handsome as possible, but that isn't going to get me interested in you. I need to know a person really well in order to develop romantic or sexual attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:51 AM

I honestly don't know. I never understood what "status" really meant, but whatever it is, I don't care about it or value it.

I am not against men getting services from sex workers. I just wouldn't want to date such a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:37 AM

Imo there is nothing inherently wrong with them, but they do have the potential to more easily have an unhealthy/predatory dynamic, especially if the younger person is very young.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:35 AM
1

Conservative and religious would each on their own be dealbreakers for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:32 AM

I never know how to answer these "who would you rather pick assuming face, personality, status, money are equal insert some physical traits here" questions. I didn't even know my current (or past) partner's size before getting into a committed relationship with them. Meaning I am committing to someone without knowing their penis size because I simply don't care. I am with someone because I love them, not because of whats in their pants. Status and money are things that aren't really important to…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:31 AM

A guy being insecure about something body related isn't a turn off for me, that would be silly. I do think though that if a short guy was insecure about his height specifically, that we wouldn't be a good match, because I am tall. I feel like he would have a problem with our height difference and being seen in public.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:22 AM

I am glad this is being asked after that post. It left me honestly devastated.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 08:31 PM

It might shock you, but besides loosing trust, safety and emotional connection to a partner behaving like the husband did, such actions also nuke any sexual attraction you have for the person. This isn't rocket science.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 07:11 PM

You are intentionally misinterpreting what I said. OP asked why the woman in question started to want sex less or to not want sex. I answered why her libido might have dropped in the beginning. The woman herself clearly said that she couldn't desire sex with her husband because of his behavior, which followed the assumed first drop in libido, causing her to not be able to recover from the issues. The issues probably could have been solved with the husband if he supported and respected his wife. …
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 07:08 PM

How can you say/think this and not realize that you have a fucked up view of relationships and sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:41 PM

"why was he still having sex with her" because she consented...? After being yelled at/threatened/nagged until she gave in. That not really consenting.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:40 PM

Fair enough. Guess that just shows there isn't one thing that works for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:38 PM
1

Where did she act that him trying to leave is a bad thing? She left him.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:37 PM

Yes, people don't want to have sex sometimes. To correct reaction of a loving partner would be to say that that's ok and to not push further. Not to threaten and pressure. Once you do that your partner very likely wont be able to go back to see you how they did before that. You broke trust and made your partner feel unsafe. You destroyed the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:32 PM

He would threaten all sorts of things to get it He KNEW I didn't want it yet as I lay there he would still choose to have sex with me He he didn't care or try understand how I felt he just wanted his sexual desires met You get backed into a corner and all the yelling and nagging Where did she gaslight?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:29 PM

We don't know if he did any healing. If you are really choosing to side with a man who yelled and pressured his wife into sex knowing full well that she did not want it, to the point where she would cry afterwards there is no use in having a discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:22 PM

He would threaten all sorts of things He KNEW I didn't want it yet as I lay there he would still choose to have sex with me . I felt sick to the stomach during it . I would go away and cry afterwards .
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:18 PM

sex is a stress and anxiety reliever. That might apply for masturbation, but to have sex I need to be relaxed and not anxious.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:14 PM

Your language tells me why you can't understand her (or me). No, he's demanding just as much sex Her current partner isn't demanding sex. "Demanding sex" already implies a dysfunctional and unhealthy sexual relationship. Same goes for "putting out". Neither term should be used to describe sex in a healthy and loving relationship. You not being able to understand that is why you can't understand her.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:12 PM

We don't know if she is always in the mood for him. All we know is that they have a healthy sexual relationship, which probably includes moments where either of them are not in the mood and where there is no pressure to have sex regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:03 PM

Well the husband in question here did not stop his behavior and drove his wife to separate. You can't possibly blamer her for healing, getting into a new relationship and, having healed, having a healthy sexual relationship where her boundaries and consent are respected.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 04:01 PM

How can you read all that and draw the completely wrong conclusion? If my current partner behaved like my ex I wouldn't want him either. I feel like your problem is a complete lack of empathy for women and not understanding how damaging the described behavior can be. It is not the I (or the woman) wanted or needed another man, we just needed our boundaries and consent respected.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:59 PM

The only difference is now she has another man. Who does not pressure her if she isn't in the mood. That is the whole point.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:56 PM

You literally cannot know that. She said why she is more happy and willing to have sex now. It sounds reasonable to me. You are making assumptions based on nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:54 PM

Well why did she stop having sex to begin with? It's not like the nagging just showed up one day for no reason. She mentioned two children. Pregnancy and birth can mess with hormones long term, raising and caring for children is exhausting and libido can fluctuate over time. Assuming it was one or more factors being at play here and he started his behavior after a drop in frequency of sex, then I don't understand your point really.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:52 PM

I completely understand what woman is talking about. Getting pushed/begged/pressured into sex is damaging. It makes you resent the person doing it. It makes sex not enjoyable. It destroys trust, respect and emotional intimacy and connection. Having your boundaries and consent violated like that messes you up. I had that experience with an ex. My current partner respects when I am not in the mood and does not push or beg, ever. As a result I feel more safe and secure around him and am in the mood…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:45 PM
1

Partner and I are in a LDR, so we go months (like half a year or more) without having sex. I don't really struggle with not having sex, it's the non-sexual intimacy I miss most. If I wasn't in a relationship I wouldn't be having sex at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 08:01 PM
3

I would kind of be turned off by a guy having hookups/casual sex in the first place. Him regretting them wouldn't add anything to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 07:55 PM

Talking as in to develop friendship and possibly a romantic relationship (assuming that I am single)? In terms of physical traits, not severely under- or overweight. Good hygiene. In terms of character traits and personality I have more preferences, some/most of which are obviously hard to tell right away if we are talking about a man I don't know.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 08:56 PM

Here are women's standards, to marry a man on the spot: Attractive in every way, wealthy, shares all of same values, same race as herself, other bullshit idk. As a woman, this is news to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 08:49 PM
2

I should have probably added that I am demisexual (and also in a relationship), meaning I don't find people besides my partner sexually attractive. I am "immune" so to speak. I can still recognize that they are conventionally attractive/handsome/beautiful, but there is no desire linked to it. That's my bad, that was probably important info haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 03:55 PM
10

Oh, other people can probably view sex in different ways, but I am not very flexible with my view I suppose. Just to make sure, I don't judge or shame people for engaging in casual sex. As long as everyone is consenting and safe I don't care. It's just not for me and I would prefer my partner to not be into casual sex either.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 03:20 PM

As a person who views sex as something deeply intimate that I only have in committed relationships, I would prefer my partner to view sex in a similar way. So no, I probably wouldn't. and most women think this is wrong. I only find it wrong if they are hypocrites (having had casual sex themselves) or if they are unnecessarily judgy about it and shame other ppl.

Depends on the context of the interaction. If a man (regardless of attractiveness) approaches me in public I am wary of/on the fence about what he wants. It doesn't happen very often, but I always feel bad for rejecting them. What makes it tricky is that I have had instances where they wouldn't accept my rejection and wouldn't leave me alone. So I am cautious when getting approached by strangers. In a social setting, I am a bit more relaxed and open (although I am not a very talkative person gen…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 02:01 PM

It hasn't affected me personally because I find a lot of the guys spouting those talking points just flat out hypocritical. But then again, I have always viewed sex as something deeply intimate and I only have it in committed relationships, so I am not exactly the "target audience" of their shaming.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 09:11 PM
17

This is just me, but I would not feel comfortable with physical escalation from a person I barely know. But that's probably why traditional dating wouldn't work for me. I just move too slow.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 06:52 PM

None. I am on the asexuality spectrum though, so I don't find people (be it men or women) attractive in that way. Of course I still see quite a few men (and women) who look beautiful/handsome to me, but that is in a purely aesthetic way. I need a romantic and emotional connection to view a person in a way that I am attracted to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/22 11:19 PM

If you are sending dick pics to women who did not ask for them and whose conversations with you had no sexual undertones you are indeed engaging in sexual harassment. It is no different than flashing someone in public. Of course repulsion will be a natural response to getting sexually harassed/assaulted. You expecting them to react differently is telling me a lot about your character. When women actually want to see your dick they wont be repulsed, so just get consent next time.
