Dumb thing is people are still using the "men are stronger" trope and the benevolent sexism of not seeing women die in the front lines. It's not like women can't be in other roles that doesn't require physical strength.

Yep. I'm from a very progressive area. I'm so lucky to be with women who believe in actual equality. Many of them used to be feminists until they've come to realize it's not for equality as they think. My friends believe in true equality for both men and women. Like they actually care about men's issues and thus stopped calling themselves feminist. And anecdotally, the women that still call themselves feminist are rather toxic.

Isn't it that men currently hold more rights, more wealth, more power, and more status than women do the world over? You're confusing the difference between men have all the rights and power versus those who hold more wealth and power and status are men. Majority of men aren't lavishing in that power. We have a male loneliness problem, higher suicide rates, higher incarceration rates, higher mental health issues, higher gun violence, lower lifespan, worst health outcomes, the Draft, dying in war…

Not really, I have a lot of progressive friends and went to a VERY progressive school. A good portion of my female friends stopped calling themselves feminists despite being feminist in practice (e.g. for actual equality for men and women, and they also care about men's issues) because they don't want to be associated to the negative connotations of feminism.

No, I agree. I know what Feminism is all about. Early day feminists never did anything to actively harm men. But modern day feminism, not all feminist, but definitely certain groups, actively harm men's issues and thus taint the history and value of feminism.

What’s so difficult to grasp Probably the part where they say they are for EVERYONE'S EQUALITY. If they say they are for women's equality, that's different. That's not what they're saying. There have been multiple blockades to the feminism movement too. They still persevered. I ask them what has Feminists directly helped men with? Many things feminists did directly helped women but indirectly helped men. I couldn't really get a good answer. In fact, many feminists actually stonewalled issues meant to help men because it would take away resources that would help women.
