Oh gosh that's legitimately been what I've been doing on apps.

absolutely. It's a lot of emotional work to form a bond over text and even if we do manage to form them with people who knows if we'll even get to meet in real life as we still have to contend with flakiness/no shows post-covid

Sounds frustrating about the woman you were clicking with. Hope the spark re-ignites.

I rejoined OKCupid. Right now I feel like I don't want to date men at all and to focus on finding a bi woman similar to myself but the dating pool is teeny tiny and it's a bit of a downer. Plus no idea when this lockdown will lift so unsure if it's even worth browsing sites. I've ordered some home gym equipment online, so hopefully that arrives soon! I miss being so tired from exercise that sleep is easy.

I've lost the will to be on the dating market. Just so many sleazy men, stale profiles, blank profiles. Or people(men or women!) looking for English tutors. Been focusing on making my home nest cozier and decluttering. Also have set a monthly saving direct debit. I sadly can't imagine living with a boyfriend ever again. I hope someday that the will to try to find a partner again.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
