If he's actually anything like the way they edit him to look in the show, he'd immediately and permanently earn a ban at any bar I worked at. He's the kind of guy who would invite people to curb stomp him on the nightly. He'd better roll with a large cadre of his mates when he goes out, 'cuz I'd bet a sudden murder is in his future if not. Edit: Huh. Caek day.

As a Canadian, you can be fired on the spot, and removed immediately from the premises. By law you are entitled to termination pay (x weeks from time of notification, based on number of years employed, 1 week per year up to I think it's 8 years) and the cash equivalent of unused vacation time, plus any other benefits accrued along with the return of any personal items. All of which must be accomplished within a week of presentation of the written notice or the next payday, whichever comes later.…

I have a friend who is big on it and I gave it a try a while back. It's actually not so bad. Kind of... meditative. For people in their own homes at the end of a stressful day it seems totally legit. Some people smoke a joint, some toss back a screwdriver or G&T, some people color. Whatever takes the edge off. But in an exec meeting? Ah, no.

This whole thing smells like that "test question" to detect psychopathy. Girl needs attention Girl realizes that "survivors" of dead people get attention Girl arranges to become a "survivor" Girl reaps "survivor" attention, satisfying initial condition (for now) If this is actually accurate, then this girl is a credible danger to those around her. If it's not accurate, then it's just so much bullshit fluff. The Disneyworld trip while waiting on her trial though... that's pretty fucking creepy, e…

Anything more than 15 and you should reevaluate your life Do you need to do one re-evaluation for every 15, or is a threshold? If it's 1 every 15, that could take a while.

When women are enthusiastic about the men they're fucking, they talk. That talk includes details about how good the sex is. I've found that by taking a little extra time to make sure she's fully satisfied has paid off handsomely, not only in repeat encounters but also by friends hearing the tales and wanting to give it a try themselves. Back in the 90s, I met and made a new girlfriend in spring. We were both young, still pretty new to everything, and decided that we have an open relationship. Th…

It's a combination of marketing and recruiting. On one side they're undergoing exponential growth, so they need to feed the beast... and there's still a large number of women who haven't entered the job market in most of the world. They're also trying to grab market share by going after a group with a) deep pockets who b) needs rides and c) can be easily swayed with an inexpensive feel-good operation. Whenever you see something like that, ask yourself cui bono... Who benefits? Then follow the mo…

Pretty much the whole world operates like that. First mover advantage gets their thoughts implanted in the typical brain first, others have a harder time dislodging. The longer those thoughts sit, the more entrenched they become. I hear you though, in a perfect world people would be dissuaded from bullshit by the merest mention of counter information. The real world, it doesn't work that way. I'm saying that for those people who aren't ankle deep in that way of thinking, make things a bit easier…

In truth, I probably would have wandered by at some point or the other. I'd rediscovered Leykis a while back so I was sort of heading in this direction anyways. Had I not seen one of the big drama threads though I'd have been completely ignorant of it.

I'm not saying we descend on a sub en masse like SRS and carpet bomb the place. It only takes one or at most two guys saying one or two things, done, walk away. It would def be bad if we got into organized brigading. I'm in no way advocating that bullshit. We have enough of that in the wild as it is.

People have to know there's options before they can make a decision. I don't see the downside to someone telling these hapless saps that there's a better way.

It sounds like we're essentially in agreement that engagement is valuiable, just differing on approach. You go with A&A, I go with a more direct approach. Eternal September Yeah, seen it happen countless times. Alas, poor /r/subredditdrama, we hardly knew ye.

Most people who have heard the term "red pill" have no clue about this place, about most of what gets said here, or anything aside from "evil menzez doing evil menz shit". Why would anyone feel the need to research if there's no voice in opposition? I get it. Lots of people here are big fans on the whole "fuck 'em, let 'em go it alone, less competition for me" thing. That seems greedy and short-sighted to me. There's plenty of women, plenty of room for success. There's no need for a scarcity men…

Enh, people leave the religion of their birth all the time. That's giving up too easily. It may not be worth it to reason someone out of their dogma, but it can be done. It happens every day.

True, extended pissing matches only feed the metasub drama wankers. I'm not suggesting people do that (although obviously if they want to duke it out, more power to 'em).

Backsliding edit Clarifying. The truth will rise to the top If no truth is spoken, there's nothing to rise. That's my point - there's value in putting that truth out there. Engaging them at all just validates their stupidity. Sure, if you engage like a petulant child. If you're planning on ranting away and calling everyone fags and sheep, then yes, please stay silent.

They come to you not because you persuaded them, but because they realized that they are fucked up. That something is wrong. Sure, and to do that they first they need to know that TRP exists, and secondly know what TRP is about. That's my point. You don't need to advocate, just counter hate with truth. Everything else takes care of itself. Enjoy your doxxing. While SJWs can be a pack of douchebags, it seems pretty unlikely to me that you're going to get SWATted for telling guys to hit the gym an…

I think I spent too much effort focusing on the signup aspect, when I was trying to focus on the message aspect - these people come and sign up because they're interested in what they find. I'm suggesting that people engage not because of the signup potential, but to always make sure there's at least one voice in the chorus that isn't saying "raaawgh TRP are all misogynist neckbears" or whatever.

It's not so much about recruitment as it is message management. Of course you won't convince a partisan, but a simple "I'm from TRP, all this you're talking doesn't match what I've seen, here's what I think it's all about" is going to be valuable as a counter to what would otherwise be relentless negativity. The increased membership is just a bonus.

Don't brag. Do it right. Let the women brag. They'll talk about shit to all their friends, in depth and detail, if you ring their bell right.

It clearly shows the gap between what women are told they should be aroused by, and what they actually are aroused by.

Dan Savage once pointed out that most fetishes involve some form of taboo violation, and lamented the idea that if everything sexual becomes permissible all fetishes (and the deep visceral thrills that result from them) will disappear. What we are witnessing now is the end stage of "taboo-ifying" sexually dominant sex, to such an extent that even an incredi-shitty series of books like 50 Shades can cause a major stir. Seems to me that it'll be a perilous but target-rich future for the sexually d…

Bitches love the Sloth. Fun fact - For those of you who remember the movie Caveman (yeah, with Ringo Starr, that one)... Sloth was "Tonda" in that movie.

What can I say, I was a couple months in to some mediocre sex and was fed up enough to be honest and blunt in the delivery. Lesson learned: honesty can be hazardous to your health.

There wasn't much I could have done to "balance out" the way I broke it off with her. I basically told her that she was a selfish lover (the biggest reason why she wasn't all that great is that she seemed to figure sex was "all about her") and that I didn't want to waste my effort on someone who wasn't going to put any effort into giving back. There wasn't a whole lot of conversational paths that could walk that back. ;-) I suppose in retrospect I could have waited a couple days and done the who…

In my case, it was her that was shitty at sex. After a couple months of thoroughly mediocre sex I got tired of trying to get her to up her game, broke it off and kicked her out of my apartment. Next day, a friend of mine asks me "what's this about ____ saying you raped her?" Cost me my job, place I was living, a bunch of "friends" (who turned out to be not so much) but at least the police took one look at the evidence and said "pfft, no" so... yay, I guess? I'd say the most reliable way to net a…

Their "nice guys" aren't the same as the "nice guys" we talk about. The prisoner dilemma is between two individuals of equal power in isolation, it's a pretty specific setup. It has some real world use, but not really useful when it comes to sex and relationships.

Thus they now have a large surplus of the population that has no clear place in the social order Sounds like SJWs. People with no actual utility, so they try real hard to make it seem like they're useful by kicking up a fuss over petty bullshit.

Nifty. Thanks for that. Pity it's from io9. I try rigorously to avoid any Gawker media site. Yellow "journalism" at its worst over there.

Hm, interesting! Tying it to evolutionary advantage smells a bit "just-so" to me, but yeah I could see how it could be a useful adaptation if empirically shown to be occurring. Happen to have a citation on that? I'd like to read more.

If this is actually the case, I wonder why it is? Would it be due to events/partners experienced while riding the carousel, or would it be that women who tend to be more promiscuous would also tend to be less satisfied when required to limit themselves to just one partner? Or something else entirely? Also, something something correlation not equal to causation something something.

What's almost as good is the reply, which made the rounds a while back on Digg.com: ______________________________________________________ You know, you're right. It really is better this way. I mean, if we dated, chances are more than likely you wouldn't live up to the fantasy I've built up. We'd date for a while. I'd grow sick of the insecurity stemming from dating a girl I consider 'out of my league.' Then, one day, I'd realize that not only do you not respect me, you've also been preying on …
