Go with the attorney who will commit to provide you the service that you need, and agrees to your expectations. Also, do what you can to be open to advice and feedback from the attorney. It may cost more for an attorney to do legal research and review case law, but that may benefit you if their passion drives them to do that research to fit the needs of your specific case. Further, a nonpassionate attorney who practices in the family law field may likely have their own blind spots, but a lack of…

There is no court ordered mandate to isolate records. Further, access to high school records are fully available (through the school system); meanwhile, access to concurrent enrollment college course records are not provided by the ex-spouse.

That's the feedback I see as well. Do you think there is a difference between college and high school for a minor? The mother contends that the mother's private information is found on the child's college records, therefore she will not remit my access.

Guess you can't control their choices. Personally, I think there's enough fish in the sea that I don't have to pick up someone else's left overs. I could be wrong... Maybe it's a small town with limited economic and social potential...? Either way, all you can do is accept their choices and do the best you can to stand your ground when it comes to things you genuinely can control (within reason).

I appreciate what you've shared. Do you have similar experience where your relationship with the children experienced a sort of compartmentalized alienation? If so, are you willing to share how you handled the issue?

I'm more of a "faith without works is dead" kind of guy. While I am thankful for your comment, I would appreciate (and am looking for) actionable feedback.

You seem a bit bitter, like there is justification on her part to control his life and desires... I think personal evolution would be difficult around a chump like you.

Dude, look up your state's laws with respect to recording audio and video. If your state is "single party," begin keeping recordings of your interactions. If you have a vehicle dashcam, save relevant conversations. If you have a home security camera system save relevant interactions and conversations. If you talk to her on the phone, use speaker phone... Try to (smoothly) only have interactions with her (that could possibly be useful to the divorce) around recording devices... save everything yo…

It's often possible to challenge a petitioner's request for exorbitant child support or alimony based upon the petitioner's imputed income. For example: a petitioner has a degree, and at some point during the marriage may have had a career, etc... yet, they claim a need for X% of the respondent spouse's "breadwinning" income... it's like a "have my cake and eat yours too" posture... ironically it's very contradictory to the concept of women's rights...why? because women should be handling themse…

Thanks for the props... That dude's comment history says volumes for the clear emotional distress they've been living with. I've thought about going to a therapist. I think that's super relevant. I'll give it some more thought.

Nicely played. I hope your working through the obvious pain you're feeling. Ideally, not projecting it onto others like me. Sadly, I don't think that will be the case, because you clearly think you're right and would never assume anything incorrectly.

Thanks for sharing your view of my priorities and the circumstances surrounding our geographic separation. I'm disheartened that you've attempted to leverage emotional shame as a moral high ground, for circumstances I feel are private (wrt geographic separation). I hope it made you feel better to express your opinion.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
