I would take those more as direct insults to your face. The tone and insinuations if your initial comments were very belittling . I feel like we both feel like we are talking to walls. I feel like you are just trying to argue with me for the sake of having an argument. So how bout this, change my view, I’d love to understand where you are coming from. Let’s hear some of your opinions backed up with substance instead of snappy baseless comebacks

Actually it does work. It’s a great metaphor. I’ll spell it out. All men and women are equal. We are all just trying to stay afloat financially. Trying not to “drown.” The ‘oppressor’ is the company and the laws which the company operate AKA metaphorical “Ocean”we are all “drowning” in. Women have been getting paid a lot less for a long time. That’s just it though, women are finally getting some equality in the workplace and you guys are being petty nitpickers about it. The bonus is what? A hundred bucks probably? I see that as more of a symbol of good faith than anything. Men have had it a lot better for a lot longer when it comes to inequality and should probably give a little back and I wonder if that’s exactly what OPs bank is trying to do. As for the metaphor I used, if you can’t decipher it yourself there’s no point in replying…

Why? If youre drowning I know it makes sense to grab onto anything you can to stay afloat but what if that thing is another person trying not to drown?
