The issue is society pays for this. Not only in wasted resources educating the women but in many countries it is tax payer subsidized. We really need to analyze whether this is a good use of societies resources. For example, the UK is pumping out female doctors like no other due to female preferenced medical education yet they have a doctor shortage due to women working less hours, shorter time, despite educating more doctors than ever.

No, our legal system does not attempt to have coherency. A trial court while encouraged to follow precedents is not required to.
