but people with political agenda still cling to this idea since it's politically, emotionally and intellectually, convenience. Most critics of patriarchal theory are in fact themselves feminists. And this is my problem with this subreddit. Let's pretend we're talking about the 1950s for a moment and ignore developments since then: Well, men are trapped in the role of being strong dominant leaders, but they're still in the role of leaders. Now that situation mas muddied significantly since then, but it's still very much worth talking about, and using the language leftover from the era of rebelling against that social order hardly makes feminists out to be the man-hating succubi this subreddit seems to take them for.

Wow, I'd always thought /r/mensrights was fairly sensible and was unfairly criticised. How wrong I was. You people are nuts, try actually reading the damn post instead of the highlighted sections. She means feminism in the sense of equality and ability to defy traditional gender roles, not an evil gynocracy taking away our penises.
