It truly is. Legal aid has helped quite a bit so far and I know the law is on my side but I really feel that this process will be nothing but a fight.

Not really. I've had to take a leave of absence from my job so we have no income. I used what we had left to pay rent and bills. When I file I plan asking for child support/alimony but not to familiar with the process. Things between us had gotten bad in the last year but I never expected this to happen.
