I second the Jordan Peterson step. Laying out specific goals and the steps to achieve them helped to dramatically reduce my anxiety about the future. I got lucky and found my wonderful husband playing ttrpgs, but I didn't go with the intention of finding love. I went to make friends because I decided I was tired of being lonely. Attending game night at the comic book shop was my attempt to solve my issue of loneliness

You need to make a choice and stick with it. From my pov you do not deserve your bf. I think he could do better or at least find a woman who will treat him better. If you do go back to him you need to do it on hands and knees. Also passion does not continue unless you make it continue. Do you romance your bf? Write him notes, compliment him, slap his ass when you walk by? If you expect him to do all of the romancing then of course you won't feel attracted to him.

My opinion, one in the hand is better than two in the bush. Objectively speaking you have a stable good man who loves you and you've invested a year you cannot get back into this relationship. If you end because you think you can do better then thats time and a relationship you will never get back. When do you want to get married, start a family, or start putting down roots? Because you'll have to start from scratch with a new man and your value only decreases every year. If you think you can do…

Do the drugs come before being homeless or after? I can see a lot of people losing their homes and turning to drugs to cope Edit: I'm not arguing just genuinely curious to see what your opinion is

There's going to be a real reckoning soon according to Kevin Samuels. The number of homeless women is rising and his theory is that they're career women who didn't create families

I feel you I can't tell you the last time I've consistently brushed my teeth. My saving grace is that my husband is as bad as I am on that front. I'm gonna run and do that now Edited feep to feel

Haha, that wasn't my case at all. I tried to run away from babies as soon as I turned 18. I was the oldest of 6 and decided I didn't want to go down that path. Lo and behold I am here at 25 collecting a horde of my babies photos and mementos

I use hoarders but that's probably be cause I see too much of myself in the hoarders

My husband and I had an odd start. Neither of us wanted kids (hashed out first date) and he wanted to cohabitate for a year before proposing (hashed out about 6 months in). We moved in 2 years into dating and we found out I was pregnant just shy of a year afterwards. Now we had made the deal early on that I was not ever going to abort and that my husband's(his) name would be on the birth certificate. We were very communicative of our relationship goals and our expectations for each other. It's n…

See I'm on the opposite end, I wish I had found my S/O sooner without the drama. I know the struggles made me who I am, but my S/O deserves the undamaged me not the world weary me. At the very least I wish I studied something more useful then graphic design

But did you meet a man in Korea and start a family there or are you using that experience in raising a family now? My science associates took me farther than my BFA ever could but in the end I don't use either right now because I'm a housewife

Jesus christ, when I went in for an electronics degree I was the only women in most of my classes. Going to where the men almost seems like a no brainer because it's so effective

My nickname in high-school was Mrs Man, but I felt like the belle of the ball playing dnd at the comic book store

Lol, I've started wearing the giant rounded frames and I'm loving it. I too have a giant round face and having the bulky glasses makes me feel dainty for the first time!

I'm feeling this, I despised the idea of being a housewife because I thought I wouldn't be happy focused on children. I thought I would find greater happiness in achieving a high status in whatever field I chose to work in. I got pregnant and then life flipped, I thought life was over a couple of times before the baby came but now that he's here I'm loving it. It's difficult but amazingly rewarding and I am so ashamed of my /r/childfree mindset pre baby Now I'm a housewife and love it. I support…

Are you putting yourself out there and being emotional available? Or have you even asked a man out? I had way better luck asking men out rather than waiting to be asked, just do it in a direct but feminine way. Also go to game night at your local comic book shop. Lots of very single men, easy practice

Well my parents met in college, but I did not have the same luck. I'm fully convince that if you go to college in needs to be for stem degrees, either to support yourself or find a husband

Why did I spend close to $50,000 for an partial degree in art when I've ended up becoming a housewife? How many women are dragging college debt with no return into a marriage because they were told going to college was the "right thing to do"?

I'm struggling with this too right now. I was not raised to be a feminine woman and bought into the pop culture idea of a modern woman. Now that I'm a mom it terrifies me that my potential daughter could buy into that lie. With our boy we think we'll have it easy, encourage him to do boy stuff. But I imagine it will be 10x harder with a girl, because girls are more agreeable

Thank you for writing this, I've been struggling to properly explain why a day off playing video games doesn't fulfill me but a day off working on side projects does. Even just getting the house to myself so I can clean is like a treat now. The satisfaction at the end of the day is what I'm striving for

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time of course. Every major change is a series of small steps or events. As long as you have right reason with each step you'll be fine. Don't give yourself a strict goal of 50lbs lighter, or completely white teeth, or beautiful hair everyday. Start with small goals like I'll replace 3 of my meals this week with salads, I'll brush my teeth at least 3 times after lunch this week or I'll style my hair 3 times this week. No one is going to lose sight of who…

As another curly haired gal I throw my thoughts in. Being feminine and attractive is more than a hairstyle. That being said, my husband hates when I cut my hair like I hate when he shaves his face. I do get why you'd cut it short though, curly hair is a tough bitch to tame. Cantu conditioner and bonnets help me with my mane. Also check out /r/curlyhair

I bet if he's so overworked nothing would be more welcoming then a hot meal and clean sheets. If OPs looking for a way to win him over that might do it

Ask him to meet with you to read your draft at a neutral 3rd party zone(coffee shop/library). Look cute, find excuses to bum elbows or touch his arm and go over your draft. That's all neutral stuff though that doesn't explicitly say "I like you" if you want to be coy. But I've always found that the best approach is to be forward and state your intentions. I invited my tea-totaler husband out for drinks when we first met

Let me throw my 2 cents in. I'm high school my nickname was Mr Woman or Mrs Man interchangeable. I would not have considered myself terribly feminine looking back. I don't think I really got what it ment to be feminine until I started working in a male dominated field or playing dnd which is also heavily male dominated. Seeing the contrast between men's and women's behaviors displayed in front of me (and then trying to woo one of those men) really helped me suss out what's "feminine" So surround…

My husband is a app programmer, and I quit my job as a medical machine repair tech about 3 months before our boy was born. But my husband and I came into our marriage with zero debt, I went to community College and my husband has already worked off his student loans

As former large people my husband and I try to avoid that mindset like the plague. We both were heavy couch loafers and way too big for our own good. I don't want to accept this new size because it won't stop here, I'll probably just get bigger again

My husband is rather stoic, so I find it best to just ask him how he's feeling occasionally. I do this especially if I've said something spicy

My husband and I have completely different tastes in music. He is a power metal fan while I like lower energy music like hoizer. We have a lose agreement to always play classic rock in the car because neither of us particularly likes the others music. But I've learned a silly amount about metal still and its just by asking him questions. I find the conversations more memorable and engaging when I'm driving the conversation even though I could care less about the genre. But I do heavily poke fun …

One of the Jordan Peterson-isms is that you being weak means your useless to others. His main thing is that men who are incapable of violence are not virtuous when peaceful or weak. Idk, early in life I had an issue I was not strong enough to handle so I strive for that fortitude to continue when shit hits the fan.
