I agree that there has been probably been and will likely to be more cases where it has been manipulated. But from the knowledge that I'm gaining, there is systems in place to determine the safety of the other parent to have access and the conditions around it. Court appointed psychologists can be appointed to support the children and gain an understanding of what's best for them. Which I know happens. They are explained this in either the court hearing or when served. It is explained in very clear terms what they can and cannot do. In terms of custody, they may be initially denied access while the parties deal with what has happened. But to be completely denied visitation would have to be for a very serious matter. In terms of dealing with the family court over custody, it is a very long process, not just one court date. If there is suspicion or potential for the children to be manipulated by either parent, an independent lawyer or psychologist can be appointed. In some cases an immediate order and no access to the family home is completely necessary but I can see from your perspective how in some situations they can be gained for the wrong reasons. but they still have a chance to explain their side.
