To me it doesn't look like he thinks he is out of your league. He just thinks you're in the same league. You said he had a big ego so he probably thinks he's awesome and this is how he sees you too. You're the gorgeous complement to his gorgeous self! Low self esteem is something a lot of women struggle with and provoking situations like you described hardly help with that. Plus, just because a friend commented something and he didn't deny it doesn't mean anything, really. Imagine a public debat…

Other mammals who walk on all four do not have developed breasts in their females. It came with upright walking that the main visual sexual sign on females (their butt) was less visible (like not the same height as the eyes of the males) so female humans developed something similarly shaped in their upper body to be a better visual attraction to males. Boobs ideally kinda mimic the shape of butts.

I don't know how you or her feel about doing your nails yourself, but if you could imagine doing that there are some amazing diy gel nails at home sets (with uv light and all that good stuff).

I have always wondered about this "exclusivity talk" people in the US seem to have with their partners... Like in my culture (Germany) it is absolutely unusual to date multiple people at the same time. You either date a person (exclusively) or you make it clear you're just looking for fun in the very beginning.

I'm from Germany and live in a college city so there are a lot of young folks around and almost 100% of my (German) fellows are leftist/feminist and I can honestly never talk about my views on politics or society with my uni friends because they would abandon me just because of that, so yeah, pretty lonely. On the other hand I have a lot of immigrant friends because my fiance is Russian and grew up in a big city in Germany with many immigrants, especially from Turkey, (North) Africa and Southern…

Hey all :) I'm a 22 year old college (Master's) student from Germany. I've been with my fiancé for 3 years, engaged for 1 and the wedding will hopefully take place next year! I hope to become a SAHM in about 5 years after saving enough for buying a home.

Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier - very sweet and feminine and men seem to love it! I've been asked so many times what fragrance I was wearing.

Please take a look at how i mentioned >It sets unrealistic expectations to real life sex for men and women

Not quite sure, but I guess it's about "realistic female bodies" and everyone consenting as I mentioned, there seems to be no real difference for the viewer

First of all - I don't want to defend feminists ever. But regarding porn there could be some valid points against the porn industry. Of course there are a lot of people doing it because they want to but there is also rape, a lot of painful but "nice to look at" sex moves and so on... It sets unrealistic expectations to real life sex for men and women and one could argue that without porn people used to have better sex because they would focus on their partner more instead of "copying". Porn addi…

Thank you, I appreciate your input! I am sure he has the ability to lead and will not listen to his mother finally but I just don't want to give her the impression that I was a bad influence on him. I will carefully talk to him soon and express my support again.

Thank you. We will surely have a conversation about this before we actually get married.

Thanks a lot for your comment :) I appreciate the information a lot and this is what I had assumed it to be! I will try and make him talk to her about it (we're not close enough for me to talk to her about that) and will use your examples. I know it is ridiculous but at the moment it is not a huge problem, just wanted to get some advice for the future and to prepare so that no big argument will arise!

I know, I have tried to be understanding of the cultural differences and I also believe she only wants the best for him. She herself worked really hard to get to where she is right now (no college education but is an accountant in Switzerland now and changes her job every few years to make more money)

Thank you for your lengthy comment! I appreciate your insight very much and I will tell him. Luckily he has always been working in the industry part time and he also confirmed that he learned a lot more practicable things on the jobs than in uni.

I'd say it rather is like in the UK so a BSc is absolutely sufficient for what he wants to do (web dev). When he was younger and still living at home he mentioned to his mother that he might want to go into IT security, where you'd have better chances with a MSc. But he doesn't seem to want that anymore. I think she just set that as his life goal in her mind and won't accept "lower" jobs maybe, which is what causes this issue, I guess. (She is a nice person though and I do like her a lot)

I'm concerned that he will do what his mother wants instead of what he wants. He often complains to me how hard he finds the theoretical work at uni and that he can't wait to start working. He also doesn't thrive when he needs to study, but when he is working he is in an enviably focused state of mind which I really admire.

Thank you, that was what I had thought. I just find it very difficult to address but your advice might be helpful!

That sounds really amazing! I hope my fiancé will have that opportunity, too. And it is a very valid point to tell his mother, thank you. I will try to suggest it :)
