I really understand this. I can't be attracted to feminine men either.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice but I relate SO much to a lot of things you've said with my partner. I also mimicked his behaviour back at him a month or so ago and he did NOT LIKE IT. His humour seems to exclusively be picking at other people, mostly me. When I did it back to him, he exploded and had the view that I was not joking because of my tone of voice. But he's only ever joking when he speaks so its completely fine, I'm just sensitive. DUH. He goes in so deep with insulting me and has …

Absolutely spot on and great points that you just made. I really needed this kind of specific advice. And I love your edit!! So many great points and lots for me to think about and work on for when we do get together to talk.

Really?! I would really sincerely love the help. Genuinely the root of my anger is fear. Like I know he will hurt/damage/betray me somehow. Even though he has proved time and time again that he won't. I'm scared of vulnerability. So I meltdown, either in anger or tears.

Hey x I really resonate with what you said. I often find myself overreacting but in the moment my emotions are so strong I can never see it when its happening, only when the damage is done. I agree with everyone that this is his time to talk and me to stfu and put my big girl pants on and just take what he is saying. To listen to him without trying to get my side across, to really listen. And then to apologise from my heart, and then give it some space to consider the things he said. Thankyou so…

I am in therapy ... and it is definitely down to my abusive childhood, and the fact I went straight into an abusive marriage when I got away from my childhood home. I think I need more intense therapy and to really unpick/release some of my past traumas. I have put too much expectation onto him to just 'understand' why I am the way I am sometimes, and that is not fair. I am definitely a self sabotager!! Thankyou for your advice. I will take it x

Mostly sad and vulnerable, but peppered with angry outbursts.

I find the answers to some things I've been thinking about in your reply. I have definitely been doing things that have increased his resentment of me. And there I was wondering why my 'open communication' was making him dislike me more. Ok Got it. A degree in shutting the F up here I come.

Thinking of how much I did this to him, and the image I have in my mind of him while doing this (body language, facial expression, tone of voice) really makes me feel like a monster of a woman. I realise now how downtrodden he felt because of me and my attitude. I'm not trying to treat him like the best thing that I've seen all day when he comes through the door - because he is. I was so stupid thinking I was somehow 'teaching him a lesson' with my moods and attitude. I'm so grateful for TRP and…

I really relate to what you said! I am also fiery, but sometimes I use that phrase as an excuse to steamroll people, Which is not who I want to be. I'm glad you're inspired to work on your relationship, if you want to share that together feel free to PM. Good luck and I hope that you achieve the relationship that you desire. x

I was so all over the place with my emotions, I can't imagine how hard that must have been for him - my consistent crying and sensitivity. I really hope like you said this way of life will settle into who I AM as a woman, and won't always feel like it's concentrated effort. Thankyou for your well wishes!!

Thanks for your positivity!! That's great advice and I've really seen it happen with my relationship. Instead of complaining and moaning and crying, or anything like that- I let my feminine nature inspire him to be the man I know he wants to be. The man he really is inside (when I am not henpecking him.) HE feels better about himself and about me. And vice versa with me. It really has been so hard to gain much needed self control but I'm so glad I did. I will continue to update the sub, thanks!!

It literally got to a point where I realised- either I try something different to change this or its going to be over within the next day or two. He definitely had his faults but he was so angry towards me he couldn't see any of his own behaviour. And me crying over it and asking for him to change wouldn't work. He was blind/deaf to anything to do with me, I had pushed him soooo far. I realised I had to turn this around or we would lose what we had between us completely. I had to take that first…

Sit on his lap/on top of him and squeeze his throat with your hand, kiss him with urgency. Grind on him. grip his hair a little bit. Bite his neck, nibble his ears. When he tries to touch you take his hands and hold them down once or twice. Sit on his face and grind on him 😊 Throw HIM about in the bedroom and take control. Make him touch you in the way you like to be touched. Make him feel like - I want you right now and I'm having you no matter what you say 😊 p.s. I feel all kinds of wrong writ…

The thing I find most important between us, is respect. I feel that I need to re-establish that between us I guess. I agree, it is so overwhelming I think the reality of the state of our relationship has literally slapped me in the face all in one day. Like I've been in a fog and hadn't seen it get to that place.

My intentions for November are as follows.... Move my body in a positive, creative way every day. Drink 2L of water every day. Get 8 hours of sleep every night. Like the precious poster said - get back to a good morning/nighttime skincare routine! Practise gratitude every morning. 💗
