I agree with this person, regardless of QwestionEveryPost's intentions asking for data supporting such a bold assertion is far from being crazy, if I'm making up my mind about a serious subject like human traficking then I better be damn sure that there is objective irrefutable data backing up my position.

the privilege excuse is a perfect example of an ad hominem fallacy

sure, that makes sense, however I meant this in the rough numbers of people who identify themselves as feminists, not necessarily on who's more influential

how can feminists read stuff like this and still claim with a straight face that men are privileged?

I believe that in order to know who's in the right we must listen to both sides of a story, so we shouldn't just jump in the bandwagon and say that OP is innocent, if an injustice was made then I really really wish OP good luck.

I don't know if this mongoloid actually did that or if he is just lying, I mean in another comment he said that if he were shot in the shoulder he would just laugh

Isn't part of the point with MRA to change culture to accept that not all men are the same? partially yes, doesn't mean we have to discuss what every single thing that non-mainstream men like needs to be discussed. Maybe you are generalizing a bit too much. Not much, but a bit. what other fanbase spams their tastes as much as them?

I think that show has nothing to do with MRA and its fans are the most annoying thing on earth

No one here believes that homosexuality is wrong, so stop using those pathetic insults.

she's probably just imitating the men who rant about american women, don't take it personal

Well disavowing your own child probably is a tough moral and economic choice, maybe not at the same level as abortion, but certainly not easy, moreover, how easy a choice is, at least to me, shouldn't have a bearing on a persons freedom from paying a huge sum of money for the next 18 years, I disagree with forcing women to keep the child, it is a violation of the woman's right to her body.

here's an actual good article on the gender wage gap by the same writer: http://www.city-journal.org/2011/21_3_gender-gap.html

tbh the girl at least is honest, she isn't claiming to want equality, she wants old role models, and if she's upfront and fair about it (e.g. she cooks and cleans for theguy) then it's her choice and there's nothing wrong with that
/r/MensRights27/12/11 09:51 PM

I believe men should be able to renounce rights and obligations during a time period when the woman is allowed to abort, if the woman wants the kid after knowing that she won't get support then it's her problem

seemed like a normal article with decent advice, i don't want this movement to be plagued by hysterical male versions of feminists

I actually read an article from the same guy he is complaining about today that actually wasn't crap: http://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/the-new-macho/1/

well just look at the bloody audience for that website, it's a website where women write for an audience of women about men(yes i'm aware that alexa is not the best way of measuring it, but it's the best i can get): http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/goodmenproject.com

I can assume, then, that you complain about rape jokes/dead baby jokes/racist jokes/etc too, right?
/r/MensRights05/12/11 08:04 PM

You don't criticize someone's hypocrisy by stooping to their level, you do so by criticizing such hypocrisy, do you believe no one should laugh at balls/ovaries being cut? Then protest when such jokes are made; do you believe those jokes are ok? then criticize the hypocrisy of those who only laugh at one type and whine about the other.
/r/MensRights05/12/11 08:03 PM
4

If you believe that this joke undermines the dignity of men in society then do protest and do use arguments to back up your opinion, but just because feminists do x,y,z it doesn't mean that we have to do the equivalent, we are a movement that fights for equality, we aren't a movement that competes with feminists to see who can whine the most.
/r/MensRights05/12/11 07:59 PM

just because feminists would protest or do something it doesn't mean we have to do the equivalent thing, unless, of course, the aim of this movement is to mirror what they do. If you want to protest this thing because you believe that it undermines the dignity of men as a group then fine, but saying "feminists would protest if we were talking about tits!" just doesn't make any any sense

wat, there's a proven bias in the US penal system against men (of any race) and black people

BUT OH MY GOD THINK OF THE PATRIARCHY! THE RAPE CULTURE! THE OPPRESSION OF WOMEN!
/r/MensRights03/12/11 11:17 PM

I already have, I'm not complaining about my personal experiences as I ceratinly don't put up with that kind of bullshit, I'm pointing out that it is a hypocritical opinion to have if within the dating context are also expected to be the ones asking out women why the hell do you assume so much from my posts? stop making this a personal discussion damn it
/r/MensRights02/12/11 06:14 PM

men's health has that sort of article
/r/MensRights01/12/11 06:16 PM
1

No need to be an asshole and make this discussion personal, but it is a fact that there's a cultural expectation of men asking women out, so it seems silly to say "the one who asks the other out pays" when you are in such context, if women asked men out equally then that rationale of the asker paying would make sense.

so not only are men supposed to do the courting, thus be the ones who have to face rejection, but they are the ones who have to pay as well?

talk to a lawyer and if you care about your future child consider ways of getting the sole custody (the sort of sociopath who schemes to surreptitiously get pregnant probably won't make a good mother)

so we shouldn't base our relationships on mutual trust and respect but instead always suspect the other person is just out there to trick us?
