It's definitely a balance thing. You have to look at your financial goals, fun/personal goals, and income then figure out which of those things has to change for you to be happiest. Sometimes that means working your ass off and forgoing pleasure short term to get your income at a better level, sometimes that means lowering expectations, and sometimes it requires you to tear everything apart and go back to step one. It took me until I was in my early 30s to get some kind of balance going, where i…

But wahmen=bad here. If they had held up opposite signs, dudes would be calling her a gold digging whore trying to kill grandpas happiness. I'm all for men feeling empowered and gaining self reliance, but this place turns in to the He Man Woman Haters club way too quickly.

My grandpa worked hard, was single for the last 20 years of his life, and saved a lot of money. When he was on his deathbed at 63, he told me to go out and kick the worlds ass and to find a way to get the things I want before it's too late. Grandma's advice isnt bad. Having a stack of cash in the bank is great until you are dying with regrets. Like with anything in life, some balance is required. Dont get so focused on the goal, that you let 10 years go by without having some fun along the way.

The ONLY way I could see this being his issue is if he lied on the forms about something that led to a health problem with the child. Other than that, if he met all legal requirements, etc. for the donation process it's not on him.

Moderation is a thing dude. My kids eat healthy but that doesnt mean they never get to enjoy an ice cream cone, birthday cake, or christmas cookies.

Im not one for graffiti, but there's a freeway overpass that has had " Be a man Raise your kids" spray painted on it for the last few years and it always makes me happy to see.

You've got to get it in your head that failure is not an option. Some days you are going to have to go through the motions, dying inside. After a while the feeling of success helps keep the depression down. But really, you've got to make yourself accept that you havent lost the battle yet and that you arent going to this time either, pretty much that on repeat. It's tough but you just have to suck it up and get it done. Try to find at least one person you can vent to and share your frustrations.…

Then you move on. Maybe with the aid of some therapy. You deserve to know the truth, to not have unanswered questions. If it turns out that he's a piece of shit, you've made it this far without him.

Yeah. That being said, seating for at least one guest and a table to rest a glass and a snack on would be nice.

I lived like that for a while when I was young. It sucked but after a while, but I slowly built my place up to be pretty nice. Bow I've got way too much crap. I have a friend who is pretty minimalist and while I love the look of his place, I also love stuff.

Everyone should learn to cook. At some point you are going to have to feed yourself.

Shitty, you lied. Should have just asked her out without promising to pay. Assuming someone else is paying is shitty, being told they will pay and then getting stuck with the bill is bullshit. It doesnt matter what genders are involved.

I'd do whatever I could to help my friend's daughters. Good on your dad for doing the right thing for his buddy, good on you for staying far away.

Nope. For all we know one kid is an honor roll student who just got sucker punched by a problem kid.

Fights happen. There's a good chance one of those kids didn't want to get into it, but at the same time had to stand up for himself or risk becoming a victim long term. I'm ok with that. Shit happens growing up. I'm also totally ok with someone intervening and trying to sort it out. It's hard to tell the whole story from a little clip.

I guess I should thank the Jews for allowing me to go from poverty to upper middle class. It wasnt the hard work that separated me from every other fuck in the trailer park, it was "The Jews". Glad to know they had my back while I was grinding it out. Shalom.

My dad died when I was really young. My uncle was like a father to me growing up. I've celebrated fathers day with him for years.

He owns a shop and rents 5 chairs($200/wk) to other barbers. I don't know the details of his finances, but he seems to be doing good.

No shit the one transgender MtF at my job is probably the hardest person to replace on our team. Legacy system savant. Just sits and reads technical documents all day or fixes problems. Stack of certs that our customers love as well. Probably the most antisocial person I've met in my life or maybe we are all just squares, haha.

Women specific everything, no one bats an eye. My buddy joked about his barber shop being men only(he'll gladly give a woman a mans styled haircut, money is money). The wrong wife overheard and a few weeks later his yelp and google reviews got tanked down to one star with tons of bad reviews. Strangely enough the line on Saturdays has never gotten shorter.

I mentor everyone who seeks me out the same way. People know that if you want to learn specific things at our job inside and out, I'm the one to talk to. I'm not a great teacher admittedly, I pretty much just throw knowledge at them and then continue to expand upon concepts until they tell me to slow down or start asking questions to figure out what's going on. That doesnt bother me at all. It's easier to just assume people know how to do their job, if they need help I help them. I dont do work …

I've mentored women in tech before. It takes about one day for me to realize if it's worth my time. Around 3/4 of the time they have no interest in learning the system, how things work, what we are looking for, which schematics are applicable, and other info for the job at hand. That's usually enough hands on work and note taking to discourage anyone from wasting my time. The few women I have mentored long term have done great in our field. They are competent technicians and decent enough at eng…

You can throw physical appearance out the window and it's still nearly impossible to find some one genuinely interesting and willing to put forth equal effort in a relationship.

"Ladies, how would you keep your man happy if you didn't have a vagina?" Crowd: anal, oral "See, I gave you all a chance and y'all just classified yourself as a series of holes." More or less this joke.

I feel sorry for people with this losing attitude. I get not wanting to have kids, plenty of people shouldn't for various reasons. You start off by saying " Besides the few exceptions, jobs suck unless you get a useless expensive degree ". So if the jobs dont suck with the degree, why not get a degree or technical training that is actually in demand and get a job that doesnt suck? You go on to talk about college debt making $11 an hour. If you have college debt and all it got you was $11 an ho…

This place gets too edgy for it's own good. Anyone who says women were never oppressed is a fucking idiot. We've made a huge amount of progress in regard to that. Things are closer to equal now than they ever have been. The problem is that equality isn't the endgame.

What a child. This shit just feeds his ex wife's ego more than anything. Zero contact would be the optimal route. This just shows you care.
