Find a model to carry yourself to. Find someone or something you admire greatly, and would want to be more like, and try as much as you realistically can to gradually become that. For me it took reading almost all of Tolkien. Those books makes me want to be a better person.

to reply to your edit, I never disagreed with this post. I only want to point out that Native American Women are targets for sexual assault from those that are not Native, they don't have to be white. These perpetrators go un punished because of our legal system. Its a huge fucking issue.
