Those damn men...building safe societies and advancing science so that women could be so much more than what nature made them! The nerve!

Now now, don't let something trivial like facts get in the way of a little feel-good girl power.

It's only natural for a woman. They don't pay for anything. From dates, to alimony, to child support, men paying is a "price" they're all willing to pay.

Immediate reply with the young man who never got into the NFL due to an accusation later proved false.

It's definitely hard to feel sympathy here, especially if you're a man (like me) who has gotten the raw end of the U.S. Domestic Relations (I.E. Give Money To The Woman) Courts. But really, I find the idea if alimony to be flawed. If you no longer want a relationship, then you are no longer entitled to the resources that went with it.

The real answer here is top of the line men that account for a miniscule part of the male population. They don't want to be equal to Larry the plumber, they want to be equal to CEOs, Executives, and other top-end earners. It doesn't matter that more than a few women already are; it isn't enough. It starts to get nutty with the envy of male physicality, and the feigned obliviousness of human dimorphic sexuality. Men make the moves, for better or worse. Many women wont even initiate. There are alw…

Obviously women make up a significant part of the work force. If every woman stopped working for a week, it would be brutal. But if all men did the same, it would be apocalyptic. In this day and age you can't really make the argument you put forth in any kind of good faith. Sexism isn't stopping women from collecting trash or welding. It's choice. And they're entitled to make that choice all the live-long. I agree that we should strive for objectivity in the content of these boards. Unfortunatel…

"Women can’t wait for today’s perpetual male adolescence to change course." What were these women doing in their 20's? Maybe "have your fun first, then settle down" wasn't such hot advice afterall? 🤔

Not sure I'd file this one under progress OP. There's a large and vocal "child-free" presence here on reddit. While I respect the decision to not have kids, those subs really take it to an obnoxious level. I think most of the reddit hive sees this as parent vs non-parent. I read her post. It's certainly interesting that she painted herself so clearly at fault. I always suspect that AITA threads are incredibly biased as the OP has the power to frame things in whichever way they please. My guess i…

I was born in the 80's but basically my "childhood" was in the 90's. For context I'm from the USA. I can still remember the media back then, things like Reading Rainbow, The Magic School bus, Captain Planet...the underlying message in so many of these episodes being that we're all valid despite our differences. It's a timeless lesson, and holds true today. OP, it sounds like your teacher is from my generation, plus or minus a few years. And what I don't get for the life of me, is why so many of …

Nope. A misogynist statement would be a comment saying that women are incapable or inferior. What I see a lot from around here is that men dislike being treated as through we're a bunch of villainous extras from Mad Men. We know women had to do what they did to get to the point of equality. Nobody faults that. It's hard for just about anybody to stay neutral and give the benefit of the doubt to someone who is ruthlessly attacking you. Calling someone a misogynist is a terrible insult for someone…

If housework is equivocal to enternal damnation via boulder pushing torment, then you're in for the damnedest of rude awakenings. Many aspects of life are repetitive. And for the majority of us, we need to allocate our resources effectively. So if a couple elects the woman to be a stay at home mom, then it's usually because that's the efficient allocation of resources. If you bring a child into this world, then hopefully you can be adult enough to identify who works and who cares for the childre…

Are you a Man? For myself and the vast majority of adult males (and 100% of men I know), the Work/Prison/Death thing is quite true. For my friends and I, if we lose our incomes, we are nothing. I think Chris Rock did a piece on this. Something to the effect of, "What man ever said 'Since I lost my job, things between me and my wife have been going GREAT!'?" Now, granted I don't think my buddies SO's are total sociopathic pieces of shit, and that they would run the minute my friends would lose th…

I'm not perfect OP. So take my advice with a grain of salt. ONE of the things that contributed to the downfall of my marriage was my ex listening to voices like this. No need to be an authortarian, but I would prioritize spending time with other, better, friends you two may have. No need for your wife to be around toxicity. Trust me, that shit's contagious. Especially those Facebook groups.

I've read a bit from subs with that mind set, but only in passing. It's...it's really something man. "Motherhood is demeaning to women." "Free? You are raising his kids. You should be monetarily compensated for this in a private bank account that only you can access." "Nobody respects a SAHM; don't be a puppet for your husband's success." "Don't give your life away. You. 👏 Are. 👏 A. 👏 KWEEN!"

...aaaannd it's locked with the mod posting "We get it, you hate women." If you scroll through the thread, you see so much outpouring of men just wanting support and unconditional love. There's even a guy saying he kinda wants to be dead, with tons agreeing with him. This was in r/AskMen, not a MRA space. Imagine having so much privilege that the most common answer is wanting love/respect/to stop existing.

I see this constantly. The phrase "...and I watch his kids!" As if to denote she's doing some kind of job purely for the benefit of the man. It's your own damn child. You don't get an award for looking after your own progeny.

I feel like this was mostly to describe women in stay-at-home roles. But what that example doesn't account for is the wages earned by "the man" to fund the household. Does the household grind to a stop since nobody is (suddenly) watching the children? Yes. Would there be worse issues if the man lost his income? Yes. A single income home with a stay at home parent is a team set up. No shit one fails when the other quits.

In utter disbelief my female boss told me that she shouts and slams things (she demonstrated for me with a red binder) to "really get their attention." This was her trying to coach me on how to be a better supervisor. All of the people below me were late middle aged adults with almost no defiant behavior. I left to join the Army.

But the problem is that the insanity is not condemned. Meanwhile, we're responsible legally, financially, and emotionally for all the ills of the man-woman relationship dynamic. Sure, maybe a good chunk of women aren't outspoken feminists, but do you think that'll stop them from taking what our system makes available to them after they instigate divorce?

I agree with you. But isn't it funny how those positions are inherently moderate, and yet there's still a large portion of people out there who disagree? Obviously there's members of the loony bin, but isn't it scary how mainstream said loony bin has become?

Its not that we don't care, or that we're talking down to people with problems. We're attempting to give very realistic advice. When I'm court ordered to pay unfair amounts of child support to a wife who grew bored, cheated, then left, are you going to storm the proverbial beaches on my behalf? Can you stop the support order? Can you reconcile my sundered finances, custody, and public perception? No. You don't have that power. None of us do. The solution comes from within. Its a messed up, absol…

This is rubbish, genders aside. If your partner had a bad day, would you alter your behavior to be more sympathetic towards them? Do you avoid or limit behaviors that your partner hates (drinking, video games, staying out late)? Does your partner have control input in what you do, since you're, you know, in a relationship? Well then, you might just be in an abusive normal relationship. Honestly, who are these women? It's like they want the right to complain about any misbehavior a man has, while…

This isn't wrong. However, we shouldn't incentiveize bad female behavior with laws. Just like you can't make a legal system based on trusting everybody to be moral.

What I have to say has already been implied, but I feel it bears repeating. While I am happy for how things turned out, I am appalled that it took you having everything in your favor in order for you to get custody. What if: 1) Your ex wasn't a drug addict? 2) You didn't have her family's support? 3) Your ex was much better at concealing her issues? It shouldn't be so one sided...

I agree it's a messed up thing to do, but you are right my friend. Aren't most punishments for crime reduced if the offender is upfront about it? We want false accusers to have some incentive to not to keep the farce going. I feel that public admissions on social media ought to be part of the bargain. And ditto on doubling down. No sympathy if they don't come forward about lying.

Anybody who actually listens to Jordan Peterson knows that things he stands for have nothing to do with the things the far left attacks him for. Good thing "Woke" people love to jump on the bandwagon and attack anything that isn't them. Thinking is so hard. /s
