The thing is - women have a lot more recourse than men and can push a lot further than men in society. Complaining is used against men all the time. A lot of it is just wanting to nip it in the bud with a settlement and people know that. There was this woman who worked the front desk at a police department and the men would read like sports illustrated and maxim in the break room. She sued and got like 100k. It definitely would make them have the mentality of "let's get to the bottom of this first" But the fact is, big companies like NFL or Nike have contracts to get them out of this because it is bad publicity. So they have the right to just drop people because thier high powered lawyers draw up the contracts for cases like this.

WIllis is right, this is over in their eyes. Especially that judge. Judges do that a lot. Just dismiss it and call it a day. I think they get jaded over time. Prosecutor just wants it behind them so they are avoiding it as much as they can. This is why going to court over something I didn't do scares me. This kind of thing happens all the time and because of "procedure" you can't get the truth out there.

What gets me is, people see the surrounding factors and they don't let it affect their sentencing. Just like child custody cases where mom's want al this time but as soon as they see it won't be more money change their tune right there. Like how doesn't that look scummy and make the judge not wanna make it rough on her.
