To add to this, generally every state has the child support calculator. Google "state you live in"lawhelp.org for more resources. Also, try credit counseling services before you default. Maybe file for bankruptcy if that doesn't work. Just remember, there are options. It's not the end. :)

While I agree with you, this is what I found when I looked up the definition of rape (mind you this is not the legal definition): "any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person." You could argue that the last act was forced upon him. But, whatever, it's a moot point...she should not have done it.

To add to Gabbiani's list...I've seen where someone will only write certified mailed letters to his ex so that everything is recorded and he can verify she received it. This saved his ass in court. The best thing to do is to stay on the right side of the law like Gabbiani says, keep your nose clean, so you can show the court that you are trying everything to cooperate and that you are not the unruly one. I know this sucks ass right now, but give it time.

Legal aid..which is free legal advice and representation from an attorney (with his reduced income he may qualify) and fee waiver for his filing fees at court. Plus a domestic violence center should have a court advocate. There are resources out there.

Wow, I really wish I could give you some advice to help...I guess just keep your head up, know that everyone out there isn't batshit crazy like your ex sounds and best of wishes to you. Also, if your income has so drastically changed, you may qualify for legal aid as well. It just can't be the same as your ex's.
