I am trying to improve opening, but again baby steps. Usually I want to improve my ability to read situations or interest. I go clubbing often solo to just enjoy. Unless the girl is straight up obvious making eye contact/smile while infront of me I tend to not notice. And I tend to be a bit oblivious of my surroundings at times so usually I notice when the girl is facing me and obviously smiles or just initiates herself.
