1	Seeking understanding The draft registering was going to be a big point I was going to hammer home. Its our equivalent to "men are telling women how they can treat their bodies (abortions)" I'm not exactly trying to make a stance so much that there isn't a need for a fight for women equality, but rather that women are not the only group that is discriminated against; every group faces discrimination. 1	Seeking understanding A little more hostile than I intended to inspire, but I like passionate responses. Passion is a good thing, though I hope this doesn't start a commenting "war" of bickering. As I've meantioned to another commenter, I am trying to get to where I can sit down and pen an essay on the topic, and all the info I can get helps, as ive had little exposure to oppression in my little small town. 1	Seeking understanding Thanks for your response. I went and talked with my professor today and I left more confused than when I went in. I'm trying to get an idea about feminism and women oppression so I can sit down and write a clear and concise view point about it,but having little exposure to oppression (Diego my small town being kind of removed from it all) I am struggling with sorting it out. And she has been getting more and more (vocal? 1	Kindergarten teacher finds Legos are good for cognitive development in young children and bans boys from playing with them in order to "close the gender gap" Why can't the teacher just only have Legos in the class? If she is worried about girls growing up only playing with dolls and the boys "hogging" the Legos, why doesn't she get rid of the dolls and get more Legos? Seems like that way everyone would win. This is just another example of radical education.
