I don't think it is private as it is the Camden council gym. Probably a subsidized membership fee for residents. Not a commercial gym. Even it it were a commercial gym you cannot charge discriminate based on sex.

You obviously can't involve the police in something trivial like that, so you try and ruin their life in petty ways instead. I mean, I agree with pretty much everything you said. I know you didn't mean to make a perfect analogy but this was assault, not manspreading. I think she deserves her day in court (as does the victim) not to be fired. It is a troubling trend that I hope ends when people are more used to this social whining power.

if a male did her exact same behavior, he would have been arrested and served time behind bars I don't understand why she wasn't arrested and prosecuted? I hate this trend of public shaming and job loss. What is the point? That isn't our legal system. DA's are not doing their job. She assaulted someone and deserves to be punished. Nothing about the incident means she is unemployable.

My opinion on the "get everyone fired" thing is as follows. If the horrible thing they were caught doing is directly related to their on job duties, they should likely be fired. She is an educator of young minds calling for violence and escalation. If she was a builder or electrician who just happened to walk over to campus she of course should not be fired.

I listened again and I think the way that "Safe Space" policy is written, it exchanges comfort for free speech. The problem is the policy, her group is just using the policy as written. It specifically says comfort. So she should have just agreed that yes as written comfort trumps freedom of speech on our campus as this safe space policy is currently written.
