2	Damn Right Very good degree to have as well. If I were to go back today I'd get a Mechatronics degree. People finally realized that so much stuff is a mix of Electrical/Electronics and Mechanical that they made a combined degree. Couple of the guys at work have that degree and it really helps in Automotive embedded systems. CompE is a really good compromise since so few schools provide Mechatronics because it is so new. 6	Damn Right Lots of hard work and long hours in school. Lots of advanced math. Long nights and tough classes. Then you graduate and you have a few years of grunt work in entry-level design tasks. Once you have 5-8yrs experience you get more senior roles - more strategic and direction (and more time to actually live your life).
