Learn to play it cool. One of my best friends is a great guy. He's got a good job, good sense of humour, not ugly, but man he tries too hard.

I was pretty much like this when I was young. Except not a liar and not really all that manipulative. Women treated me like an object so I didn't really treat them any different which I now know is wrong.

https://kitchener.citynews.ca/2020/01/18/high-school-dropout-rate-ten-times-higher-than-what-canadians-expect-pathways-to-education-2030623/ Rates are higher than people think and it increases the more lower income you are. For me, I got bullied a lot in elementary, junior high so I didn't actually take high school seriously and got kicked out a lot and sent to other schools. I was a 'bad kid' so I knew a lot of other 'bad kids' and we had this whole other life outside of school. I stopped carin…

Corporate made gender warfare. Boomers are in their 60s/70s. You think they care about feminism? In the 60s, guys didn't hate feminism because it helped sell the free love movement so guys were getting laid. I'm gen-x. Jordan Peterson is local to me. He was raised by 2 parents who were both academics. His entire career is in academia. Me on the other hand, couldn't afford school so I used to sneak into the Uni library and read books or meet girls in classes I was interested in and help them stud…

Stop throwing around insults. I got confidence because I put in the work to learn how to be a social person. For some people that comes naturally. For other people you need to develop those skills. I got girls because I didn't waste my time being mad at other people. That's petty.

you're the exception and not the rule Not really. In high school, I made new friends with a lot of other kids who were bullied or introverted, weird, unpopular, etc. We just did our own thing and girls started getting into it too. I'm only in this sub because i'm interested in the sociology aspect. I'm way beyond dating and all that. I was a 'bad boy' or 'player' that had no problem meeting girls. I just dislike talking about that stuff because i'm not really proud of it. I got bullied a lot but…

A total of 143 first-year university students (39 men and 104 women) from an Ontario university were recruited under the condition that in the past year they had graduated from high school Flawed study. A lot of bullies and bullied kids drop out of school so they're not even included. I 100% disagree with this. I was a skinny nerd who got bullied relentlessly in elementary/jr high but had high success dating in high school and college.

“World War III is a guerrilla information war with no division between military and civilian participation.” – Marshall McLuhan (1970) The US government hated the anti-war left. They teamed up with the corporate media giants and the schools back in the 90s to subvert the left by creating divisions like this new war between men & women. That's why they're monitoring social media is because they control the narrative and don't like people spoiling their tricks.

You don't have to be rich, you just have to be stable enough to keep a roof over your head.

Meh, I had fun while it lasted. It's shallow and overrated but whatever. Doesn't mean you can't have solid relationships after.

This is the dumbest, worst 'advice' I've ever read.

OP is right. I never had to try to meet women. I had a reputation which made it stupid easy.

Glad i'm not the only one to notice that. A sub that gaslights young men into hating everything normal about them.

My ex says she's a hippy. I cried in front of her once and I could see the disgust on her face. One of the reasons she's an ex.

The term "woke" has its roots in Christian morality of the sinners and the saved. It's derived from the concept of "Spiritual Awakening". That's not actually true at all. The term 'woke' is a 60s counter-culture term popularized by a black writer who was pissed off that white kids keep stealing black slang words and using them without understanding what the words mean. Being 'woke' is just being 'informed'. It's the counter-culture knowledge that the system is corrupt at an institutional level. …

Have been saying for a long time that men need to get into teaching, social work, psychiatry, etc.

I guess you're oh-so-skilled that not once has the delaying made you lose the peak in libido entirely. Met this one girl and we hooked up and had like 5 minute sex. She just felt good and I came fast. She didn't talk to me again. I don't blame her. I did nothing to get her off. I didn't have time to. I was being selfish. Given a do over, it'd be much different. You may not have "performance issues" by your own claim, but you make it sound like it's still very much performative to you. Of course …

I get the "being a gentleman" argument that you're coming from, but it seems that you're making no argument for "be reciprocal", thus placing in her no such responsabilities to "learn stuff and do stuff". There is no responsibilities. That's the point. You're supposed to be having fun. You do it because you want to do it. And people don't just automatically know how to do it. Takes practice. Everyone is different. If you're with someone who is a 'starfish' as you call it, there's 2 reasons. Eith…

Because it's still encouraging men to be basically little else than masturbators for starfish women. Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound saying that?

Don't think of it as a burden of performance. That makes it seem like a chore. It's something mutual that you should want to do. It's supposed to be reciprocal. And fun. Think of it like a bike race. You want to coast until you get close to the end, that's when you want to use up the rest of your energy. Spend the rest of your time enjoying the scenery. Learn foreplay. Explore. Figure out what they like then keep doing it. For me, I refuse to finish until they're done. That's just good courtesy.…

I'm in my 50s, Canadian. I have a fairly decent circle of friends that i've had for over 30 years and never really had any problems meeting women. Even still, I still deal with a fair bit of anxiety and depression lately that i've been working out. I never really had that issue before and it's odd that a ton of other people are dealing with the same problems. That shows that it's not specifically a 'me' thing and more of a systemic social problem. So the goal becomes to figure out what is fucked…

It's not just twitter. Social media itself is a hate factory that profits off people being nasty to each other.
