Like 10 years ago the Oscars were becoming the super bowl for women. They had watch parties. There was a long “pregame” with all the red carpet stuff. Grocery stores were even starting to advertise party foods and recipes for the week like they do during super bowl. Define “more successful”. If you are referring to wins and world cups that is not the issue at hand. It’s revenue generated that matters. Women’s sports generate less revenue they get paid less, period. You can be the worlds best bricklayer and work just as hard or harder as the worst starting QB in the NFL, but you won’t get paid as much as the QB because your work generates less economic value. Neither of those matter. What matters is revenue generated - sponsorships, marketing agreements, broadcast rights, Jersey sales, ticket sales, etc. Women generate less, they get paid less - period. Everything else is just a smoke screen of bullshit. - wins, number of world cups, etc. does not matter. Players on an 0-16 NFL franchise will make more money then a woman on the World Cup championship team because the football players generate more revenue.
