That's disingenuous. Wolves don't get domesticated so fast. There is nothing about it in the rules. The DM threw away realism (yes, even in D&D non-magical stuff work exactly like real life) just to make the players feel good. He made a mistake that cannot be replicated in reality. How many times has surrendering to an invading army without a fight has made said invading army think "Oh shit, these are nice guys, I better leave"?

I am not using this as an excuse, in fact, this may reveal other issues, but has anyone researched whether this difference in treatment results from what society expects from each gender? We know for a fact that between men and women, it's the men who are employed in most demanding manual labour. The men's team has nothing to win (literally, they aren't getting a raise if they win) and everything to lose (everyone ridiculing them for tryharding against an inferior opponent and not showing solidarity to women). We already have what they propose. 1) Actions and behaviours that pose a threat to the public are called crimes and they are already codified. 2) Crimes already have different punishments based on their severity, from fines to life incarceration. Incidentically, treating people differently based on their biological gender poses a threat to the public and is a crime.

In the originl story, I don't recall if the siblings are stated to have age difference, but there isn't a clear protagonist, despite the fact that the sister has more action, since the brother is caged asap. I read the thread, if we are to believe her, the boyfriend did go overboard with "out of respect, you should do X to your hair". I would like to offer a different view. While yes, this is can be generalized as an attack to masculinity and men, I believe the same would not be said if it the subject was a random old man. Assuming you're talking about the U.S., I saw a collage of "Mass shottings in 2019" (with "mass shooting" meaning 4+ victims per incident) and, if I recall correctly, I saw at least one woman there. If you're only talking about the high-profile ones that the TV and Reddit talks about, the one-size-fits-all answer is that society treats boys/men harsher than girls/women, with everything that entails.

To be completely fair to the idiot, she said "killed" not "shot by the police". Normally you'd also want to add soldiers that died in the line of duty, you could also argue for people like firefighters and police officers and definitely convicts that received the death penalty. Why is the market biased on gender? It is not. Men's soccer is more popular than women's soccer. Men's basketball is more popular than women's basketball. Women's volleyball is more popular than men's volleyball. Not sure about tennis, I think it's similarly popular? I might be wrong. The market is biased on quality.
