I've found that when I'm infatuated with someone, I can date others easily enough but not really consider them potential for anything serious unless they exceed the high bar set by the oneitis crush -- which, by the nature of oneitis, is a pretty high bar. So even though I'm not desperate, it still feels like dating that girl would be an improvement. As for a solution... fuckifIknow? Just enjoy what you've got and keep meeting new people, I guess.

Since the shitstorm that accompanies a rape accusation is so extreme, a similar burden should lie upon those who falsely accuse someone of it. It's akin to framing someone for murder. Do you believe that her being in a young offenders institution for that much longer would assist in the livelihoods of those who were wrongfully accused? Wow, I had no idea same-sex intercourse was actually illegal in some states! I hate when the closed-minded try to inflict their "values" on other people -- even worse when enough idiots get together to pass laws like that. I'm straight, but it still pisses me off that someone's sex might be considered illegal because of their partner's gender.

Came here to post the same... this is a terrible experiment for that reason. Maybe a more gender-neutral name like Alex would have been better, but giving any name is encouraging people to pick whichever gender they tend to associate that name with.
